And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to The Word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.  Acts 20:32 KJV

The Apostle Paul was with the exception of Jesus Himself, one of the greatest apostles of the New Testament.  He wrote  many of the books of the New Testament and without exception had the greatest revelation of Jesus known at that time.  This verse finds Paul at the church of Ephesus and he is preparing to leave them and knows he will not return to them ever again.  This was a church that Paul raised up and helped birth and lead and guide.  He has great love, care and concern for them as to what would happen after he left.  In light of that, did he leave them to His understudy or some other brother?  No He commended or committed them to God the Father AND THE WORD OF HIS GRACE.   The Word of His Grace is Jesus.  Jesus is the Word.  He left them in the best hands possible, The Father and The Son.

While that is great in and of itself, I want you to really examine what Paul said.  He left them to God the Father and to The Word of His Grace.  He then states that The Word of His Grace is able to build you up.  Let’s pause there for a moment.  I can speak with a definite authority and confirm that The Word of His Grace is able to build you up.  I spent many years in church learning many things but it was not until I found out about GRACE that I realized that there is so much more to the Christian life than getting born again then serving at the church or in the church and the other things that people generally do and continue doing for twenty, thirty, forty or fifty years or more. Like many others, while I was in church I learned law based teachings and commandments and what you had to do and if you don’t do this you won’t be blessed.  So much law and really no grace.  Grace was mentioned but not true grace.  It was a mixture of grace and the law which is not grace.  Why? Because the pastor did not understand or know grace himself.  I thank God for the good and pray that that pastor has come into greater light now and has changed.  My point is not to denigrate anyone as we are all still growing, however it’s simply to prove that The Word is true and to correct erroneous teachings because The Father does not want any of us deceived.

The Word of His Grace is able to build you up because it is Jesus.  It’s all about Jesus and what He HAS DONE, not what you have to do.  The work Christ did on the cross is a finished work.  It is the work of righteousness and righteousness is not something that you can ever earn.  It is unmerited, unearned and undeserved favor.   In previous teachings, I have seen the minister preach messages about and write articles about why GRACE IS NOT unmerited favor.  But when The Gospel says, “By grace have you been saved though faith and that not of yourselves it is the GIFT of God”, it proves you cannot pay for a gift, a gift is given.  Grace immediately and continually opened up my eyes to the GRACE of God which is found only in Christ Jesus.  I began to see that getting saved and going to Heaven was just the foundation or kindergarten in a sense.  I am not downplaying what God has done because it cost Him His Son temporarily.  But the law cannot build you up. Rules cannot build you up.  The Word of His Grace is able to build you up in wisdom and understanding and love and faith and courage  and ministry and to do the greater works that Jesus said we are to do. And it GIVES you an inheritance among them that are sanctified.  Previously I was taught as you may have been that you have to earn prosperity and you have to qualify, mainly by my giving to the minister or a particular minister. The Word instructs us to give but not to get something that Jesus bought and paid for such as healing and prosperity and deliverance and protection.  These are all included and are a package deal in your salvation package.  The word salvation is the greek word soteria and it means  welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety.  Let’s look at what God the Father said about salvation.

For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV

You cannot earn salvation. God succored or secured salvation.  It was bought and paid for by the Blood of Jesus and anyone that says anything different is a liar. I don’t care and God the Father does not care who they are and how long they have been in the ministry or how anointed they are supposed to be. The Word of God says, “Let God be true and every man a liar!”  I am not being critical of ministers because I am a minster and if you are born again so are you.  But I am on a mission of TRUTH.  That is what this blog is about.  I spent many years being deceived and being told many things that were not true in church.  I will not allow anyone to be deceived by a minister or ministry ever again if I can help it.  Please hear my heart and Paul’s heart and God the Father’s heart as it pertains to His children.  The main reason why Paul commended them to God and The Word of His Grace is because he said he knew that grevious wolves would rise up and try to deceive the flock of God and destroy the work that The Lord had done through him.  Paul preached the Gospel of Grace which is the only Gospel.  He was not a punk, or weak or fearful and spoke candidly on this and he through the Holy Ghost had very stern words to say about anyone that came and preached something else.  The Holy Ghost said this to him and Paul was simply a secretary of what the Holy Spirit was saying.

I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to Himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.
Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.  Galatians 1:6-9  New Living Translation

You need to read this again and understand how serious this is.  You don’t pay for or try to earn or sow your way into an inheritance.  You receive an inheritance when someone dies and JESUS has already died and is raised.  Our text scripture says, “and GIVE YOU AN INHERITANCE” not you trying to pay for an inheritance.  This may sound a little rough but it’s JUST DA TRUTH!!!  And look at what Paul said in regard to what people thought about what he said.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. Galatians 1:10 New Living Translation

I love you and I love people.  I am not against people I am for people.  But I will not stand by and watch another person be deceived, get turned away from God and the church and not have the emotional ability to go to church because they were hurt by a lie from a pulpit.  Yes they have to forgive but ministers have a responsibility to teach The Word not lies, not their doctrine and opinion.  The Word about Jesus,  The Word of His Grace is the only thing that will build you up and give you an inheritance because that’s what The Father created it to do.  God is offering you and everyone on the planet His undeserved,  unmerited favor through the Person of Jesus.  Be sure to receive it!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
