JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT YOU ARE A GIFT TO JESUS

I made known your Name (Father) to the men whom You gave Me out of the world.  They were Yours, and You gave them to Me and Your Word they have held to firmly.  John 17:6 Kenneth Wuest Translation

It’s powerful to know that you were (and still are through Christ)  God the Father’s.  In that scripture  Jesus says,  “They were Yours and You gave them to Me.”  You need to understand the power of that single statement before we move on.  You belonged to God.  You WERE God’s and He turned around and then gave you to Jesus.  Understand and believe these three things.

  • God the Father does not have trash.
  • God the Father does not keep trash.
  • God the Father does not make trash.

The Father made you.  You have a very high intrinsic value.  Poppa is the GREATEST GIVER there is.  He does not give cheap gifts.  It’s not in His nature and its not Who He is or what He does.  If you want to see what kind of gifts Poppa gives just look at Jesus, a priceless Gift given to us.  We know God the Father has given us Jesus but what a lot of believers do not know is that Poppa gave YOU to Jesus as a permanent gift.  This is mentioned twice in the book of John.  The Kenneth Wuest Translation is a direct translation from the actual Greek.

Father, that which you have given Me as a permanent gift, I desire that where I am, also those might be with Me,….  John 17:24 Kenneth Wuest Translation

And I give  to them life eternal.  And they shall positively not perish, never.  And no one will snatch them by force out of My Hand.  My Father Who gave them to Me as a permanent gift is greater than all.  John 10-27-29  Kenneth Wuest Translation

Do you know how precious you have to be for Poppa to give you as a permanent gift?  Jesus was given to us as a permanent gift so the Father must see you as valuable as Jesus.  He sees you in and through Jesus.  To the Father there is no difference between you and Jesus.  Don’t take my word for it take The Word for it.

And as for Myself, the glory which You have given Me, I have given them, in order that they might be one even as We are One, I in them and You in Me, in order that they, having been brought  to the state of completeness with respect to Oneness, may persist  in that state of completeness, to the end that the world might be understanding that You sent Me on a mission and that you loved them even as You loved Me.  John 17:22-23  Kenneth Wuest Translation

God the Father loves you just as much as He loves Jesus.  That is what The Word just said.  You are valuable to The Father.  A good Dad if he can afford it does not give his children cheap gifts.  He gives them the best he can afford.  Poppa can afford everything and anything and He gave His best when He gave Jesus and anything less is a lesser gift than Jesus.  So your healing is a lesser gift,  prosperity is a lesser gift than Jesus.  The Word of God says, “how shall He not with Him (Jesus) FREELY give us ALL THINGS!  Never doubt your value to The Father or to Jesus.  Jesus received you as a gift from His Father and He values you.   If Jesus values you, who else do you need?  YOU ARE A GIFT!! A PERMANENT GIFT!!! Rest in that truth and smile all year!!!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT JESUS: BORN FOR ADVERSITY!!

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17 KJV

We visited this scripture this weekend but I believe there is more gold to mine here. This scripture refers to our natural friends but if you study it out it is really taking about Jesus. Jesus loves ALL THE TIME, Whether you are good, bad, indifferent.   Jesus is the only One that loves this way consistently.  We can grow into this type of love because the Love of God the Father is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.  Many times we can think this is difficult or even impossible based on how people treat us but this is Agape Love.  Agape Love is the God kind of love that is unconditional.  It is a decision based love not a treatment or action based love. This decision to Love is Who God our Father is.  To decide to act any other way than in Love towards you would be to cause Him to violate Himself which The Father will not do.  This Love assist Him in everything that He thinks and does.

Also look at the next portion of the scripture. A ‘brother’ is born for adversity. In the natural this means that a brother, Christian brother included should be a help in adversity.  He should be there for you while you are in affluence as well as in adversity and even more so then.  A well-known Jewish Rabbi named Jarchi stated: a brother is born for adversity; for a time of adversity, he is born into the world for this purpose; to sympathize with his brother in distress, to relieve him, comfort and support him; and if he does not do this, when it is in his power to do it, he does not answer one of the ends or purposes for his being born into the world.  I find that strangely intriguing and encouraging and enlightening as I examine my friendships.  I am not in dire straits but when I think  “Which of my friends would be there for me in such a manner?” it is very eye-opening.  But Jesus WAS BORN for adversity.  This is why NO ONE but Him is worthy of our ultimate and utmost confidence and trust.  Why? Because Jesus is faithful and had proved this faithfulness by agreeing to come to Earth and die for us.  Many people think that Jesus has and had a law based relationship with The Father God. Like God just told Jesus, “Go down there and do this!”   NOTHING IS FURTHER from DA TRUTH.  The Father had a talk with Jesus and Jesus agreed to that assignment  and told the Father, “If you prepare Me a Body, I will go!”  The Father did the same thing with you if you are born again. He talked with you first and you agreed. You were in a pure spirit state at that time and you love the Father with the same love He loved you with. The book of first John alludes to this mission and ambassador relationship as well.  Now this is revelation I have received and if you look at the scripture you will see it as well.  Being an ambassador is an assignment that a person agrees to take.

There suddenly appeared a man upon the human scene, sent off as an ambassador from God’s presence, his name, John.  John 1:6 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So you see just like John and Jesus you were sent as an ambassador for a specific mission to relieve and remove adversity in someone’s life.  Sin or missing the mark is adverse to us and to our well-being.  Jesus was born to take away every adverse situation and circumstance. You are in Jesus so you assist Him in this removal of adversity.  That is one of the reasons He was born and you were born again. So while we acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we must also keep in mind and heart that He IS our Brother and Friend. He is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother.

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT JESUS: FRIEND OF SINNERS

“The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!’ But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.”  Matthew 11:19 New Living Translation

I want to share with you something that happened recently and I believe it will paint a good picture for our understanding.  I recently received a friend request from a gentleman.  I was vaguely familiar with him so I went to his Facebook page and just looked at it to see different things.  The gentleman had various quotes from different authors and well-known world leaders, some that are alive and some that have now passed on.  Now I know better but a religious thought came to my mind like, “Ahhh I don’t know, all this meditation and enlightenment stuff…..”  I had some other thoughts as well but then, I caught myself and accepted his friend request.  When I went back later and looked further I noticed there were people from all types of different faiths and beliefs in this group.  Then I thought of Jesus.  Many times Christians have no influence with other people because of their judgmental, I am better than you attitude.  I have also seen and in the past been guilty of saying, “I’m not going to hang around those people so they don’t contaminate me. I learned that from church sadly.  BUT THAT IS NOT HOW JESUS IS!!!! Thank God!! Because if he was, then Jesus would have never hung around YOU!

The scripture above is an inditement, and enlightenment and wake up call for the Body of Christ.  To summarize what happened, the religious people in Jesus’s time were accusing Jesus basically of not being holy. Why?  Because Jesus drank wine (Yes Jesus drank wine), and hung out with tax collectors and sinners.  One translation says He hung out with notorious sinners.  Now think about that as you sing, “I want to be more and more like Jesus!”.  Really?  Jesus did not let mans opinion put Him into condemnation because He knew that no matter what He did or didn’t do that the religious people would still find fault with Him.  But don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it!!

For John didn’t spend his time eating and drinking, and you say, ‘He’s possessed by a demon.’ 19The Son of Man,f on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!’ But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.” Matthew 11:19 New Living Translation

Did you see what Jesus said?  He said “John was with you and he did not eat (meat and other dainties as it was known John ate locust and wild honey) or drink wine. But you still said John was possessed of a demon.  Now the Son of Man comes to you feasting and drinking and you say that he is a drunkard and a friend of tax collectors and sinners.”  Now here is the key.  Look carefully at the last thing Jesus said.  But wisdom is shown to be right by its results.  In other words you can say whatever you want about me eating and drinking and hanging with sinners but look at the results.  They are undeniable!!!  In the Old Testament when a clean person touched the unclean such as a person with leprosy, they became unclean too.  But in the New Testament when Jesus  and his disciples touched the unclean the unclean became clean like them.  We’re not here to be changed by the world but to change the world.  Jesus knew that.  But how are you going to change them if you won’t even be bothered with them, take time to talk to them and find out what is going on in their life?  Jesus was a master at this and some of the things that believers and ministers say you should not be doing Jesus was doing.

Now the Bible says He knew no sin, He did no sin and in Him is no sin.  I have come to learn that many times some ministers will put rules and laws on people out of their personal problems, habits and challenges.  But the book of Romans 14:22 says, “Happy is the man that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.”  Now let me make it clear, this is no license to sin and most believers know what sin is.  We are not here to join sinners in their sin.  This is a license to freedom and more importantly to free others.  Jesus was constantly in social settings causing influence for The Father by His very Presence.  That same Jesus is on the inside of you.  I encourage you go infect somebody today at your job, at dinner or at happy hour.  Imagine if Jesus decided to stay away from you because of some of the things you have done.  NONE OF US WOULD BE SAVED.  Some people will disagree and take this the wrong way but I don’t care and neither does Jesus. If Jesus did He would have gotten up from where He was and never hung out with sinners again. But then He would not have been controlled by The Holy Spirit but by man’s opinion.  I don’t know about you but as for me and my house THOSE DAYS ARE OVER, FOREVER!!!  The Word of God says, “Greater is He Who is in you, than he who is in the world..”  Jesus was called the ‘friend’ of sinners.  May you by His Grace and for His Glory have the same title.

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT SUCH A TIME AS THIS

…..and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?  Esther 4:14  KJV

If you are a believer, have you ever taken the time to ask yourself, “What am I in the Kingdom for?”  It’s a question you should give some thought to.  Why?  Because your part in the Kingdom is crucial to someone’s life.  Think about this.  Do you have a favorite minister, or even artist or actor who you really like or who has affected you life in a positive way?  I do and two years ago I thought to myself, “Man I am so glad this particular minister obeyed God’s call on his life.  I began to think about all the wisdom, knowledge and grace I would not be aware of if this person was not fulfilling his call.  Then I moved beyond myself and said, “What about the other people that are in his church?”  That’s over 30,000 people alone.  Then I moved beyond that to the TV and worldwide audience this particular minister reaches.  Now we are into millions of people.

Think of that.  One person affecting millions of lives.  The same thing applies to you and what God the Father has designed for you to do.  You may think I cannot affect a lot of people’s lives.  The truth is you already are.  Every person you come across, every person you work with, talk to, say hi to and every member of your family is being affected by you everyday.  Are you conscious of the effect you have or can have on people by constantly reflecting JESUS?  Another truth is you have no idea how many people’s lives you affect everyday.  What you do for a job regardless of what it is affects and touches many people’s lives. Your coworkers, everyone who will touch the product you work on, the person you said hi to and gave them a smile at the grocery store.  A smile or a simple hi could be just what a person needed to overcome contemplating  suicide.

I heard this story once and it impacted me so much I never forgot it.  As a matter of fact it prompted me the other day to check on a lady I saw just two days ago outside of a gas station.    In the story, there was a man who made a decision to commit suicide and jump off the Golden Gate Bridge.  The man did not have a car and decided to walk to the bridge from where he was but he made another decision.  He said if anyone stopped him and asked him was he alright on the walk to the bridge, then he would not commit suicide.  From the story it appeared the man looked very distraught and depressed.  He stated that he walked past many people but no one stopped him once to ask was he okay.  Thankfully the man lived after he jumped and was able to share his story.

Again, it shows how much you can affect someone’s life just by a caring question.  So many people today are lonely even when surrounded by all their friends.  They keep these people around and actually know they have superficial relationships but many feel these fake friendships are all they have.  Our text scripture is about Esther a woman who was chosen to be queen in a heathen kingdom although she was a Jew and then was presented with an opportunity to do something that she could be killed for or become an intercession and savior for the Jewish people.

…..and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14 KJV

Think about it, what if you just like Esther have been brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this? Don’t think quantity, think quality.  Even if you are here to affect just one persons life, that person is of great value to God the Father and Jesus, because He died for that person.  And if that is not enough to stir you think about the fact that that one person at another time could have been you.  What would you want someone to do for you?

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!
