JUST DA TRUTH -ABOUT LABOURING TO REST

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Hebrews 4:11 KJV

Happy Labor Day to all my fellow U.S. citizens and those abroad.  As many of you enjoy this holiday and day off from work, I want to encourage you to labour to enter into His Rest.  This sounds like an oxymoron and in the natural it is.  But not for the Believer.  Why would Poppa have The Holy Ghost tell us to “labour to enter into rest“?  Very simple. People, believer or non-believers are not very well trained in resting. They are very well trained in worrying. But Jesus desires and has provided for a rest. And this is not just any  old rest, this is His Rest.  The same rest that He has right now in the middle of all the craziness we see and He sees in this world.  The Lord sees and knows about and yet He is at rest on His throne.  And whether you realize it or not you are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus far above all the murder, all the terror, all the stock market tumbles, all of ISIS and everything else.  So REST. I John 4:17 says “As He is so are we in this world.”  He is at rest so you be at rest. How can you do that?

New International Version
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

New Living Translation
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:18

Keep you eyes on Jesus! He is your rest!  He has finished the work of your protection, provision, healing and everything else that pertains to life and godliness.  Do you believe that?  If you do then this Labour Day make a decision to rest in Him not just for today but for the REST of your life.

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!
