Those rich in (this) present age charge (them) not to be high-minded, nor to hope (or trust) in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, Who is giving to us all things richly for enjoyment;  I Timothy 6:17 Young’s Literal Translation

Merry Christmas to everyone all over the world.  Whether or not they have received it, the gift of JESUS is available to every man and woman ever born so that they can be born again.  Today as you go about I sincerely  encourage you to ENJOY this day.  Pause and simply enjoy “this day“.  The scripture above says that God, Our Dear and Loving Father has and is giving us ALL THINGS for enjoyment.  So I encourage you to enjoy your life, enjoy your health, enjoy your wife, enjoy your husband, enjoy your children, enjoy your family, enjoy your food, enjoy your home, enjoy your cars, enjoy the gifts you have been given.  When we enjoy the things we have been given we are enjoying GOD THE FATHER and  JESUS because every good and perfect gift comes from and thru Them.

The word enjoy or enjoyment is the greek word apolausis.  It means to have enjoyment of a particular advantage or benefit.   The first part of the word apo means ‘away from‘ and the last part lausis or lauo means enjoy. It conveys being appreciative in such a way as to look ‘away from’ what is not right and ‘enjoy’ the benefit of what is being offered.  It also means to take pleasure or delight in and to urge someone to take pleasure in what is being offered or is about to happen.  These definitions are vital to ‘enjoying’ richly all that the Father has offered us in and thru Jesus.  Why?  Because Christ Jesus IS our life.  By the Father giving Him and by Him offering Himself on the Cross, He or They as One have given us richly all things for enjoyment so that we can look at all things with great joy. Even if things are not perfect in the seen realm remember the enjoyment is the Greek word apolausis and the apo there means away from.  Look away from the sickness or lack or whatever negative thing you may be temporarily experiencing and ENJOY Jesus’s healing and abundant provision which “He has GIVEN (not going to give) to us richly for our enjoyment.”

The Bible talks about two types of things in the New Testament. It talks about “all things” and then it talks about “these things”. Let’s look at it briefly. Let’s look at THESE THINGS first.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?  Romans 8:35 English Standard Version

37 No, in all ‘these things’ we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-38 English Standard Version

If you are facing any negative circumstances and you are a believer, The Word of God declares that ‘in all these things”, while you are in them YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US!!

Now lets look at ALL THINGS.  Notice how the questions about ‘these things’ are answered.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He Who did not spare His Own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him(Jesus) graciously give us ALL THINGS? Romans 8:31-32 English Standard Version

What this scripture is saying is that if God the Father gave us His best and most precious Gift, His very Own Son Whom He Loves, how will He not along with Jesus GIVE US ALL THINGS?

So when we tie the opening scripture of God the Father giving us richly ALL THINGS to ENJOY together with Him freely or in GRACE giving us ALL THINGS  RICHLY TO ENJOY the picture becomes very clear.

  • You have been given ALL THINGS in and through the Gift Who is JESUS!!
  • You have been given ALL THINGS to ENJOY!!!

Be sure to ENJOY ALL THINGS and look ‘away from’ these things knowing that you are MORE THAN A CONQUEROR through Him that loved Us.

Merry Christmas!!! May Christ the Prince of Shalom dwell in your heart by faith and rule and reign making you INJOY Him and give you a prosperous, healthy and JOYFULL New Year!!

All the “blessed’ to you! Shalom!!!
