JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT HIS REST CONT’D

For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength…. Isaiah 30:15 KJV

Rest. We all need it, more than we even know.  But I am not just talking about sleep.  I am talking about real rest.  Rest where you no longer worry, about your health, your children, your finances or other areas of life that people naturally worry and stress about.  This scripture was talking about the children of Israel who had instead of looking and going to God for help they had went down to Egypt for help.  Now if you remember just a number of years ago, God had delivered Israel out of Egypt where they were kept in bondage and slavery.  Now the people that they had been in bondage to, they were going back to and asking  and expecting help from them.

That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at My mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!  Isaiah 30:2-3 KJV

God the Father does not want us trusting in things that He has paid a dear price to deliver us out of and from.  He wants our trust to be in Him and the finished work of Jesus.  Jesus has already provided for your healing.  It’s not that you do not go to the doctor or take their advice, He simply does not want your faith, hope and trust in them.  Why?  Because He does not want you to take their MAYBE over HIS SURELY!!!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.  Psalm 23:6 KJV

Now if you look up the word surely in the original Hebrew you will find out that it says ONLY goodness and mercy shall follow you.  You may go to the doctor and ask, “What will happen when I take this drug?”  He may say, “Hopefully, it’ll clear things up but be sure to take it with milk otherwise get a few books because you will be in the bathroom all night,”  Take a look at the Young’s Literal Translation.

Only — goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling is in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days! Psalms 23:6

When you know your healing or your breakthrough is SURE, you can REST!  The same thing works with your salvation.  If you have to worry everyday, “Am I alright with The  Father? Is He mad at me?  Is he still in disbelief that I am still having a challenge not overeating?”  That is bondage!!!  The Father is not like that especially in the New Testament.

THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” He then says, 17″AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” Hebrews 10:16-17

God the Father has forgiven and forgotten your sins because He already punished Jesus for every sin you have ever and will ever commit.  God does not lie!! If he says He will not remember your sins and lawless deed anymore then He can’t by an act of His Will.  Since He doesn’t remember them then neither should you.  YOU SHOULD REST!!!  Jesus wants you to rest too.  Look at what Jesus said.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28 KJV

For an even better understanding look at the Kenneth Wuest Translation which is a direct translation of the greek text.

Come here to me, all who are growing weary to the point of exhaustion, and who have been loaded with burdens and are bending beneath their weight, and I alone will cause you to cease from your labor and take away your burdens and thus refresh you with rest. Take at once my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find cessation from labor and refreshment for your souls,

Matthew 11:28 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Notice in that translation Jesus said, I ALONE. Jesus wants to be the ONLY ONE resting you.  Jesus does not want the world resting you, or alcohol or weed or sex or whatever else.  He knows that is a temporary fix while His is a permanent REST.  Which will you choose?

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
