JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS- PART 2

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 King James Version

Righteousness.  Have you ever seen one of those dolls where you can take the top off and another smaller doll is on the inside of it?  Then you take the top of that one and another smaller doll is inside of it.  That’s how righteousness is.  Except instead of the things inside getting smaller and smaller, they keep getting bigger and bigger.  And with the doll you eventually get to the last doll but with righteousness there is no end.  It is EVERLASTING.    That is how God the Father is.  He is infinite and He is your Father so there are qualities and attributes of infinity in you.  It does us well when we began studying on a subject that we continue even when it is the same subject because The Word of God is inexhaustible.  To think it can be exhausted is to think that one can exhaust Jesus.  As we know with Jesus, if things ‘appear’ to run out He simply creates more or multiplies what is already on hand.  And guess what?  So can you!!!

The word righteous means dikaios: correct, righteous by innocence.  It means also to  be just or justified especially just in the eyes of God.  This is what it means to be righteous and it has to do with how God the Father sees you based on what Jesus has done for you.  The word righteousness means dikaiosuné: righteousness, justice is a legal term and has to do with a judicial decree made by God the Father Himself which is irrevocable.  Because of Jesus dying and taking our place and taking the punishment that we ourselves deserved, He in turn got what we deserved and we in turn got what He deserved.  All that belongs to Jesus belongs to us as joint heirs.  Now what is more powerful to think about is the only reason God the Father and Jesus did what they did and took what they took, (beatings, death-spiritual and natural, spittings, disrespect, etc..) was so that they could execute a legal way to get everything they already had into our hands and lives.  THAT IS LOVE!!!  Not human love but agape love-completely unconditional, undeserved, unmerited favor which is also GRACE.  If you think about it, that is God the Father (LOVE) and Jesus (Who is GRACE)  all smashed into One.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  1 John 4:10 King James Version

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 King James Version

So righteousness is a means to an end for God the Father.  It is the means for Him to legally restore all that Adam lost and more because through Christ Jesus we have been made the righteousness of God.  Because we are now in right standing there is nothing that can stop or block our full rights and benefits from being made available to us.  However the only way to know all that is yours is to spend time and study and let the Holy Ghost reveal what The Word is really saying and has already provided.  Your job may offer the benefit of reimbursement of a fitness gym membership but if you do not know about that benefit you could be out of $200 unnecessarily.  It could be your right to get that money back but if you don’t know about it that benefit is useless to you.  I encourage and admonish you to spend time with Jesus.  Jesus IS The Word.  When you are spending time in the Word of Righteousness, all the benefits of righteousness will be known to you.  You can then appropriate them legally.  Remember, it is the Truth that you KNOW that makes you free.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!!  Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS – PART 1

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Matthew 6:33 King  James Version

His righteousness.  His righteousness.  His righteousness.  Take a moment to really absorb that.  It’s His righteousness.  We have been made the righteous of God of “in Christ Jesus.”  The righteousness that we have, and more accurately that we have been made is really His righteousness.

For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.       2 Corinthians 5:21 King James Version

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:  I Corinthians 1:30 King James Version

Righteousness is so AWESOME.  Why?  Because it has done so many things and it is sitting there waiting to be received by ALL men and women everywhere.  The main thing about righteousness is that Jesus put us  back in right standing with God the Father.  The restoration of our relationship with The Father is the primary reason for righteousness and Jesus being crucified and resurrected.  His sufferings and beatings paid the price necessary for us to have peace with God and the restoration of all things to us His adopted children.  The Word of God declares that with Jesus we have been given all things.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Roman 8:32 King James Version

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 King James Version

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.  Romans 14:17  King James Version

So when we seek first the Kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace (or Shalom) and joy in the Holy Ghost AND understand that it is His Righteousness which is a gift, we then walk in the complete and total victory that Jesus has already won for us at the Cross.

Take a look at all the things righteousness does in the book of Proverbs.

Proverbs 10:2  Righteousness delivereth from death.

Proverbs 10:16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life:

Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the righteous feed many:

Proverbs 10:24 The desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Proverbs 10:25 The righteous is an everlasting foundation.

Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:

Proverbs 10:30 The righteous shall never be removed:

Proverbs 10:32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:

Proverbs 11:4 Righteousness delivereth from death.

Proverbs 11:5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way.

Proverbs 11:6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them.

Proverbs 11:8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble.

Proverbs 11:23 The desire of the righteous is only good.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.

Proverbs 11:31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  Because of Jesus and His righteousness given to you, your desire is granted.  You are delivered out of trouble.  You are delivered from death.  You will never be moved.  Your desire is only good.  You see all these benefits of the righteous and righteousness?  THEY ARE AWESOME!!!  It would do you well to study and know these because the truth that you KNOW is what makes you free.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT LEGALISM & SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS

But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.”  Galatians 3:10 New Living Translation

If there was someone or something that was stealing from you everyday but you were not aware of it, would you want someone to tell you or would you prefer to continue being robbed?  No one in their right mind wants to be robbed.  And money is the least of all the things we are referring to.  What if there was something you were doing or participating in that may unknowingly be aiding or abetting (assisting) in you being robbed?  Okay enough with the questions, what are you talking about?  I am talking about legalism and self-righteousness.  Legalism is defined as excessive adherence to the law or formula.  It also means dependence on moral law rather than faith.  You may ask, “Faith in what or who?”  For the Christian it is faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work that He has done for you.

For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with Himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.  Romans 10:3 New Living Translation

So the scripture above says that when people do not know, or understand God’s way of making people right with Himself, they cling to their own way by trying to keep the law.  What law?  The ten commandments and other religious laws made up by man that have nothing to do with righteousness or salvation or God’s way of doing things.  Our opening scripture in Galatians 3:10 says whoever depends on the law or obeying and doing the law to make them right with God is under a curse.  In many churches today the ten commandments is still preached as the go to for right living.  But for 1500 years the law and the commandments were in effect and no one could keep them not David, not Solomon not the prophets.  They were righteous and their sins were covered through the sacrifices of animals like bulls and lambs, until THEE LAMB was brought into the world and slain to cover men’s sins ONCE and FOR ALL.  Once Jesus died, every person’s sin was covered for all time, not just for a year.  Jesus was the perfect Sacrifice.

For He (God the Father) has made him (Jesus), who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (Jesus).  2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV

Now this may seem free and inexpensive to us but it cost God His dear Son whom He loved and loves.  This is no light thing.  Jesus took our sins upon him by faith although He never committed one sin and then gave us His standing that He always had and has once again with The Father after He was born again.  Jesus after taking our sins by faith was then able to die(death can only come through sin) and then after The Father saw that Jesus precious and priceless Blood covered our sins and Jesus took all the wrath, anger, sickness, disease, death and punishment upon Him that really was meant for us, The Father then declared our sin debt paid in full and that we were then justified or made righteous because of what Jesus did.

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.  Romans 4:25 New International Version

If we were not justified or made righteous Jesus could not have been raised because He was raised for our justification.  So you can see how serious and glorious this issue of righteousness is.  Since Jesus has done all this for us, to turn around and act or say, “You know what Jesus I’ll just be righteous on my own by making sure I cross every t and dot every i is really a smack in the face to God and Jesus.  And it puts a believer back under the curse because they are trying to establish their own righteousness instead of accepting what Jesus has already done.  So what does all this have to do with robbery?  Because if you try to live under the law instead of just accepting what Jesus has done for you, the curse will continue to operate in your life and steal health, wealth, peace and whatever else it can from you.  The sad thing is the person behind it is still the enemy, the devil.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 New International Version.

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.  Romans 5:17 New Living Translation

He (the devil) is still the same and he is the real source behind the curse and behind getting people to try to live under the law instead of accepting the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.  In another translation that last part reads the gratuity of righteousness.  You have to pay your restaurant bill but the gratuity that you leave is a free gift given by your choice and will.  The gratuity is a reflection of the giver not the receiver.  Righteousness is a gift a gratuity based on the giver, God the Father who loved us when we were unlovable.  He knew we could not fulfill the law and sent Jesus who could and credited His fulfilling the law to our account. We got Jesus’s good and He got our bad.  Since Jesus went through all that He did for us, understand that even when you miss it it does not change your righteous standing because you did not do anything to get the righteousness you received except believe it.  And even the faith you used to do that was from Jesus.  He is the author and finisher of faith.  Don’t worry about comparing yourself to other Christians or preachers or anyone.  Just know you are accepted in the Beloved, Jesus and you have His righteousness FOREVER.

When you depend on that you are depending on grace and the curse will never ever be able to touch you as you keep your confidence and faith in The Truth that ‘you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!!!

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE POWER OF “TENSE” Part 2

And I walked and He who sat on the throne said to me, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write: ‘These words are trustworthy and true.” 6And He said to me, “They are done. I am Alap and I am Tau, The Source and The Fulfillment. Revelation 21:5 & 6 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

We talked about how powerful ‘tense’ is as it pertains to the Word of God. Let’s take a look again at the definition of the word tense.

tense- a set of forms taken by a verb to indicate time (and sometimes also the continuance and completeness) of the action in relation to the time of the utterance.

So the word tense indicates time and even the continuance of time and the completeness of something done inside or outside of time.  It may sound like I am getting a little sci-fyeey and in a way I am.  But trust me its all scriptural and based on DA TRUTH.  To prove to you exactly what I am saying lets take at a word or promise that is in the New Testament  many times.  The word eternal life.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  I John 5:11 NIV

And this is what he promised us–eternal life.  I John 2:25 NIV

For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. John 17:2 NIV

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. John 3:36

Like I constantly say, don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it. Four scriptures that speak of eternal life.  Take a close look at the last one.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. John 3:36

That verse says whoever believes in the Son (Jesus) HAS ETERNAL LIFE.  It did not say they are going to get it when they get to Heaven.  It says the HAVE IT.  The word have is the Greek word echo.  It means to have, to hold and to possess it.  Now lets find out what eternal life means and entails.

The word eternal in eternal life is the Greek word aionios.  Based on the Strongs dictionary the word aionios means…

the unique quality (reality) of God’s life at work in the believer, i.e. as the Lord manifests His self-existent life (as it is in His sinless abode of heaven). “Eternal (166 /aiṓnios) life operates simultaneously outside of time, inside of time, and beyond time – i.e. what gives time its everlasting meaning for the believer through faith, yet is also time-independent. See 165 (aiōn).

[166 (aiṓnios) does not focus on the future per se, but rather on the quality of the age (165 /aiṓn) it relates to. Thus believers live in “eternal (166 /aiṓnios) life” right now, experiencing this quality of God’s life now as a present possession. (Note the Gk present tense of having eternal life in Jn 3:36, 5:24, 6:47; cf. Ro 6:23.)]

I want you to pay close attention to two things.

  • Eternal life is a present possession.
  • Eternal life operates outside of time, inside of time and beyond time.

What does the last statement mean?   It means its not subject to time.  Time is subject to that life, eternal life and YOU HAVE IT.  Believers live in eternal life right now by faith. When they receive this by faith then that eternal life and power over death is made manifest in their lives by faith.  So if you don’t believe that and confess it you won’t see it. The spirit of faith operates according to I BELIEVE therefore I SPEAK not I SEE  so I BELIEVE.   No, I believe I HAVE, HOLD AND POSSESS eternal life right here, right now.  I have the same quality of life as Poppa Himself does in His sinless abode.  All of Heaven belongs to us because we are right now currently citizens of Heaven and seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus.

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives…. Phillipians 3:20 New Living Translation

If you are from America and you go to Italy you don’t lose you rights and benefits as an American citizen just because you are in another country.  No you still have full rights and benefits and all the backing of the USA and their power, authority, military and their influence as a citizen.  This is true in an even greater degree as a citizen of Heaven.  This is true NOW and FOREVER.  Are you beginning to see the power of ‘tense’?

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE POWER OF “TENSE”

And I walked and he who sat on the throne said to me, “Behold, I make all things new.” And he said to me, “Write: ‘These words are trustworthy and true.” 6And he said to me, “They are done. I am Alap and I am Tau, The Source and The Fulfillment.                                                              Revelation 21:5 & 6 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Tense.  In most cases when people think of the word tense they think of being anxious and stressed.  Rarely do people consider the word tense in terms of time.  But let’s take a look at the actual meaning of the word tense.

tense- a set of forms taken  by a verb to indicate time (and sometimes also the continuance and completeness) of the action in relation to the time of the utterance.

I invite you to read that about 3-5 times then go back and read our opening scripture.  “Well Brother  Vincent what does this have to do with the Word of God and DA TRUTH?”  I am so glad you asked.  The answer is EVERYTHING!  One of the reasons why the Body Of Christ is still dealing with and facing so many of the same issues and challenges that the world is is because of tense.  They continue to put off and wait for things to happen or wait until we get to  Heaven for things because they do not understand tense.  Let’s look at what Jesus said in the verses preceding our opening first to get a better understanding.

And I heard a great voice from Heaven that said, “Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with the children of men, and he dwells with them and they shall be his people and the same God is with them and shall be their God.  4And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and from now on there shall not be death, neither grieving, nor clamor, neither shall there be disease again, for His sake.

And I walked and he who sat on the throne said to me, “Behold, I make all things new.” And he said to me, “Write: ‘These words are trustworthy and true.” 6And he said to me, “They are done. I am Alap and I am Tau, The Source and The Fulfillment. I shall give to the thirsty one from the fountain of the water of life without charge.” 7″And he who is victorious shall inherit these things, and I shall be his God and he will be my son.” Revelation 21:3-7 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Let’s break this apart.  Verse 3 says, “Look God’s home is NOW among His people!”  Now means now.  The next verse says He will live with them and they will be His people.  God Himself will be with them.  The Bible says Immanuel which is a Name of Jesus means, “God with us!”.  If you are born again then Jesus is in you which means God is in you and with you.  We are God’s people NOW!!!

Verse 4 says He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes and from NOW ON, there shall be no more death or shall not be death.  Let’s stop there.  Did you know that Jesus killed or destroyed death?  Jesus’s resurrection is the death of death!!!

Now, in view of the fact that we died once for all with Christ, we believe that we shall also live by means of Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised up from among those who are dead, no longer dies. Death over Him no longer exercises lordship. For the death He died, He died with respect to our sinful nature once for all. But the life He lives, He lives with respect to God  Romans 6:8-10 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Since death no longer exercises lordship over Jesus, death no longer exercises lordship over you because you belong to and are in Jesus!!!   Jesus did not just give His Life for you He gave His Life TO YOU!!!  And notice the word that begins the scripture above.  There’s the word NOW again. Death and the devil can’t just come and take you out when he wants to or your children, IF you believe the Word and take it by faith as explained in the New Testament.  Even in the Old Testament it says in Proverbs that death and life are in the power of the tongue. So people had control of death to a certain degree even back then.  BUT NOW, death over Jesus and death over you no longer exercises lordship.

Paying attention to ‘tenses’ can be the difference between victory or defeat, from going under or over or even from death or life.  Know what the Word says and know the tense being used when the Word says something to you. That tense is just as much a part of the Word as the other things being said there and in many cases is key to the receiving of a particular promise or benefit.  We will continue with this next week.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!
