JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT REDEMPTION – PART 2

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14 King James Version

Yesterday, we took a look at redemption and we defined it and found out some of the primary things that we are redeemed from.  These things are poverty, sickness and death.  But there are also some other things that you may find interesting that we are redeemed from.  As promised, I will also be sharing with you some of the things that we are redeemed to.  One of the things we are redeemed from is a lack of knowledge.  Most people know the scripture in Hosea that states my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.  So how does this particular redemption take place?  Because just like we no longer have to concern ourselves with trying to become righteous, wisdom is now a part of the package deal that comes with Jesus Christ.  Let’s look at the scripture that shows us this.

It is because of God that you are in union with the Messiah Jesus, who for us has become wisdom from God, as well as our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.  I Corinthians 1:30 International  Standard Version

So from this scripture we see that God through Christ has not only made us righteous but He has made us wise, and sanctified us and redeemed us.  Now I want you to think about something as it pertains to wisdom.  Many of us believe we ARE the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  We believe that we are righteous right here and right now.  Let’s look at the reason we believe that in addition to I Corinthian 1:30.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.  2 Corinthians 5:21 King James Version

So this scripture tells us we have been made the righteousness of God in Him(Christ).  We confess and believe that. I normally confess daily that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.    Well I Corinthians 1:30 says Jesus has become for us wisdom.  In light of that we need to be confessing that Christ has become for me wisdom and that we are redeemed from ignorance and unwise decisions.  When you look at Jesus, He was never caught off guard or in the dark in any situation.  Why? Because He has wisdom from God and that scripture says He has become the same wisdom from God for us.   Something can be yours but until you claim it and exercise your rights to it it will not be of any value or use to you.  So being bought out of ignorance and darkness are a part of our redemption package in addition to righteousness and sanctification which is being set apart for a special use.

Now I want to show you something that The Holy Ghost showed me personally. I never heard it from a preacher, I just happened to be studying one day on our opening text and I saw this as clear as day.  Let’s take a look at our opening text again.

Look at the beginning of the scripture, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law,..”.    If you read Deuteronomy 28 verses 15 thru 68, all the curses are listed there and then some.  It is a horrible list and I thank God we are redeemed from that list.  You should take the time to read it to make sure none of it is illegally operating in your life.   But I do not want to focus on that right now.  Many times you can get fresh revelation from God thru Jesus by way of the Holy Spirit by paying attention not only to what The Word is saying but also by what The Word is not saying.  Allow me to explain.  The scripture in Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of he law.., but did you ever notice that there is no where in The Word that says, “Christ has redeemed us from the blessings of the law“?????

Oh this is good. Some critics will say, “Well you say you are not under the law (and we are not) then you can’t have any of it. Good, I don’t want the law if thats not what God has for me but I will take THE BLESSING(S).  You see Christ never did redeem us from the blessings of the law only the curse of the law.  So THE BLESSING(S) are still yours!!!!  Glory to God!!!  Let’s prove that.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,  Ephesians 1:3 New American Standard Bible

So God through Christ has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.  Now don’t let that “spiritual blessing in heavenly places” throw you off.  It’s not spiritual that you can’t touch or get or access until you get to heaven.  The word spiritual there is the greek word pneumatikos  which means belonging to the Spirit, or emanating from the Divine Spirit.  Where does wisdom emanate from?  The Holy Spirit from Christ and we just shared that Christ is made unto you wisdom right here and right now.  So this is not blessings you cannot use until heaven.  This means that EVERY spiritual blessing including the blessings of the Old and New Testament which falls under THE BLESSING of Abraham which is mentioned in Galatians 3:13-14.

The benefits that come with redemption are powerful, and not only are they powerful but they are ETERNAL.

He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.  Hebrews 9:12 New International Version

So not only do you have redemption through Jesus’s blood but ETERNAL REDEMPTION.  The word eternal there is the greek word aionios which means age-long, unending, inside of time, outside of time and beyond time. Your redemption is eternal so you can be confident, bold and at complete peace because of Christ.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Colossians 1:14 King James Version

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom

  1. This is quite wonderful to think about, Vincent. I will have to take this quietly within my heart this evening. I cannot comment at the moment, as I’m coming off of a very bad experience at work today. Sobbing was involved. That’s all I’ll say. I suppose holding it for so long the floodgates were about to come at some point. But I am glad I read this because though I cannot at the moment digest it in my mind, my heart has it within, and my spirit can be soothed by it…quietly without my mind, just my spirit and heart. Why is the world so greedy to the point of using people beyond their physical and emotional means just for a few more dollars? They don’t care about the soul inside, only how to use that soul. But I must purpose to regain my true self and this weekend be happy, if for nothing else but my own well-being. Otherwise feeling sorry for oneself can be a dangerous thing. I have three days off after that.

I hope you know how precious your message was this morning. I will think about all the friends that God has allowed me to have and now new friends, such as you and your sweet wife. I wish you both such happy, pretty things.

Well, perhaps some sleep will be good. The sun will shine tomorrow whether we can see it or not. Is that not such as our God…He is with us and shines his face upon us whether or not we can feel Its warmth or see It. 🙂 I feel better just thinking about that.

Blessings for a restful and light weekend,
    Marianne

  2. Marianne,

I understand completely how you feel as many things lead me that way as well. Thank Poppa that we are in the world but not of the world. Sometimes I simply receive the joy and peace of the Millenial Reign right now to curb my anger at some of the injustice and foolishness that takes place here and now. But, LOVE NEVER FAILS. you have to see the people who act in this manner as children and overlook their selfish behavior. Believe that love never fails and show them unqualified courtesy as it mentions in the book of Titus. Take joy in all your creative endeavors this weekend knowing that as you focus there each step towards that is a step away from where you do not want to be.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

    Vincent
