And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 KJV

You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2 New Living Translation

Understand what I’m saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things. 2 Timothy 2:7 God’s Word Translation

Although it is not talked about a lot,  as a believer you actually have responsibilities.  If you are a fan of the comic book character Spider Man, you will be familiar with a invaluable and costly lesson that Peter Parker/Spiderman learned early when he first obtained his super powers.  I would like to share that story with you because it provides great insight into or post today.  In the story, shortly after Peter Parker got bitten by a radioactive spider and got his spider powers, he took a moonlighting job as a masked wrestler to make money.  After winning a battle he would go to the manager to get paid and on one event the manager stiffed him and paid him a different amount then advertised.  He was upset about it but took the money.  At the next event using his powers he won the fight again and went and got paid by the manager but as he was walking out another man walked in.

Peter Parker walked down the hall counting his money and soon he heard the manager scream, “Hey help!! Stop that guy! He just robbed me!”  Peter  remembered how the guy had cheated him and he just left the robber run right past him and when the manager asked why he did not stop the guy, Peter basically told him, “Thats your problem.”   However a few nights later there was another robbery and this time his Uncle Ben who had raised him was the victim. Uncle Ben died and Peter was very upset.  He went out and used his powers to find the robber and when he did, lo and behold he recognized the man as the robber, who robbed his manager.  He was so upset knowing that if he had stopped the robber that night  his uncle would probably still be alive.  And from that story we have a great and very true line that, “With great power, comes great responsibility!”.

YOU and I have been given great power!!! As a matter of truth we have been given the greatest power because we have been given the Name of Jesus which is the Name above all names.  I am sure that believers have other responsibilities  but I believe by the Word of God that there are three that are crucial for the time we live in for you and for other people.

  • You have a responsibility to KNOW THE TRUTH:  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 KJV
  • You have a responsibility to TELL (or SHARE) THE TRUTH:  You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2 New Living Translation
  • And if you do not know THE TRUTH you have a responsibility to find out THE TRUTH:  Understand what I’m saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things. 2 Timothy 2:7 God’s Word Translation

Can you see by these scriptures what is being said.  Jesus desires you to know the Truth which is Him and He has given us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into the Truth.  And once we know The Truth we need to share the Truth with others. This is witnessing and getting people saved but also teaching others what we have learned so they can share and teach others. And finally if you do not know the Truth or The Word, please don’t use that as an excuse.  The Holy Spirit is your primary teacher and the scripture above said also that The Lord will help you understand all things.  There are people, believers and unbelievers as well who are dying and going to hell or of sickness because they do not know THE TRUTH!!!

With great power comes great responsibility!!! Jesus took responsibility for saving you. Be sure to take your place with Him and  help save others.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us [our] sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9  Darby Translation

Once again here we are talking about the grand topic of RIGHTEOUSNESS.  It is grand indeed as the Lord Jesus told us to seek it first and then everything else would be added to us. This passage of scripture is a blessing.  It is also a means of controversy because of the first part.  Some people say you have to confess every single sin you ever commit.  Some people say no when you confess that you are a sinner and receive Jesus that is all that is necessary.  I am not going to get into a debate about that today because that is not our focus.  I will share with you what the scripture says ensures your salvation.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9 New Living Translation

The same Holy Ghost who had John write I John is the same Holy Ghost that spoke to Paul in Romans.  Yet no mention of confessing of sins is in this verse in Romans 10:9.  Interesting indeed.  By acknowledging Jesus as Lord and that God raised Him from the dead something obviously is done in that transaction. But I want you to focus on  the truth that when you confess Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, this is an acknowledgement of what Jesus did and that you needed a Lord and you are also acknowledging the reason Jesus died and was resurrected.  Jesus died for our sins.  This acceptance of Jesus as resurrected Lord is a confession and as a result, He is faithful and righteous to cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness or you can say He is faithful and righteous to make you righteous just like Him.  Did Jesus ever confess to being a sinner?  No.  But yet He took all of our sins which by that ‘act‘ placed Him with us as a sinner and God treated Him as such on the cross because He took our sins by faith just as if He had committed them all.

And he took all of our sins and lifted them in His body to the cross, for as we are dead to sin, we shall live in His righteousness, for by His scars you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24  Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Jesus took our punishment for sin which is rebellion against the will of God the Father and gave us His righteousness which is simply submission to the will of God.  Sin simply means missing the mark.  Righteousness is what is right from God’s viewpoint.  Sickness is sin.  Health IS His righteousness.  Poverty is sin.  Abundance is His righteousness.  Why? Because that is what God and Jesus have.  God and Jesus are not broke or in lack.  They live in opulent abundance.  Some Christians believe that it is holy or righteous to be broke. Nothing could be further from the truth.  Poverty is sin.  Not having enough is sin therefore it is unrighteousness. The Father sent Jesus so He could give us back everything Adam lost and more. God has and is righteous and that righteousness now BELONGS to us because of Jesus.  Anything contrary to what God has or is is unrighteousness.  What does The Word say about unrighteousness.

Neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  Romans 6:13 KJV

The Word yield means to allow, to give place.  If you are born again, you are dead to sin and alive to Christ and His Righteousness.  Romans 6:14 says, “Sin shall not which means, it does not have dominion or rulership or authority over you.”  Why?  Because you are not under the law but under grace, God’s unmerited, undeserved favor given to us in and through Christ Jesus.  We are free from sin. Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.  Acts 13:39  NIV

Do you see it?  Sickness is sin.  Health is righteousness or right.  Poverty and lack is sin.  Abundance and being RICH IS RIGHTEOUSNESS.   You don’t have to seek to be rich, rich comes with the righteousness.  You don’t have to seek health,  health comes with the righteousness.  This is why Jesus told us to seek first  the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.  Jesus’s Blood has cleansed you and me and everyone who accepts Him from ALL  unrighteousness. If you believe that then since you are cleansed the only thing left is RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!  You simply have to know it and believe it and receive it and it is yours and IT WILL BE MADE MANIFEST.  But it’s not there just when you see it.  It’s there and yours RIGHT NOW!!!!  TAKE IT!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

Love never fails.  I Corinthians 13:8 New International Version

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. I John 4:16 KJV

God is Love and Love never fails because Love never quits!!!  The secret is I must know and believe the Love the Love that God has for me. I don’t care what my mind says I must stick with and you must stick with The Word. Don’t think evil and say, “Do I really know and believe the love that God has for me?” (Love) thinketh no evil. Just agree with The Word and say, “The Word of God says I have known and believed the love that God has for me. I agree with The Word.” When you do that and say that it will be in your mouth and then get in your heart and YOU WILL know without a shadow of a doubt that you KNOW and BELIEVE the Love that God has for you and you will never fail. Don’t go off of the world’s definition for failure. You are successful because Jesus has made you a success not because you win this contest of that prize. You must know that you are already a success and then that success in Christ will manifest in your natural life and circumstances. Love thinketh no evil. Love never fails. Failure is evil. Failure is sin for all practical purposes and by definition. The word sin comes from the greek word harmatia and it means ‘to miss the mark.’ If a person starts a company and plans to make it a successful multimillion dollar company but shuts down in six months, in the natural it would be seen as a failure or by definition a sin because he or she did not hit the mark they missed the mark. It’s just that plain and simple. People fail or miss the mark (sin) everyday. They set a goal to do something with their kids or their husband and somehow it does not happen. By definition that is sin because they missed the mark. They did not do what they set out to do. But If you look closer especially with things like businesses and ventures and ideas, people miss the mark many times over. How did this happen? Because at the start of the thing, FAILURE WAS AN OPTION. They thought about failure, considered it as a possibility and worse even talked about it and had discussions and meetings with partners or bankers about failure being possible.

Today it is common and a general consensus that when a person starts a new business or a new venture that, “Hey you know the business could fail!” It’s almost like the world’s way of making sure that ingredient is added to as many of the cakes of dreams and ideas as they possibly can. Would you call starting a business or venture and then entertaining thoughts of possible failure a good thing or an evil thing? According to The Word of God that is an evil thought. Remember the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The only reason why evil exist today is because of man(Adam) choosing to experience both good and evil instead of just choosing The Tree of Life. Evil was never an option for man in God’s original plan and intent and it still is not. God is ONLY good and that is the life He has given every believer. This is why it is sin to think evil, failure, sickness, disease, poverty and lack. As a believer we have no business even considering that as an option even if it shows up in our lives because it is not based in Love or Truth. If sin or missing the mark shows up you are to say the opposite just like God did when He saw darkness. He never said one word about the darkness. To speak contrary to The Word of God is sin and is evil and can cause you to miss out on what God the Father has already provided for you through Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us to speak the truth in love. Why? Because for the believer God(Love) has promised success and not just any success but the same success He has and even greater works than Jesus did when He was here on the Earth.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. John 14:12 New Living Translation

God has promised through His blessing to bless all the work of your hands. Also Jesus has forgiven and taken upon Himself ALL YOUR SIN(missing the mark or failure) so since He has done that the only thing left for you to believe is in SUCCESS. He said in Romans 6:14 that, “Sin(missing the mark, failure) shall not have dominion over you because you are not under the law but under GRACE.” Love thinketh no evil! So that means Love only thinks good. So when Love starts a business it goes into it knowing and believing, “This is so great! All I can do is succeed!!! The Word of Love(God) guarantees it.” You start a venture with that attitude I promise you and the word promises you it will be successful because you’ve started it in and on LOVE and LOVE NEVER FAILS!!! Now someone will say, “Well I’m just looking at reality and being realistic. Did you know the word TRUTH means reality. So the truth is the real reality and anything else exist as a lie. So the failure is not the truth the failure is because TRUTH was not added as an ingredient in the cake of your business or venture and it didn’t hold together. The Word of God says that LOVE NEVER FAILS and that LOVE THINKETH NO EVIL. If you believe these two things and stand on them nothing will be impossible for you because now you are operating the same way God(Love) operates. And when you do things God’s (Love’s) way you get God’s(Love’s) results. You are with Love and with Love(God) IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!
