JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT “YOU ARE PERFECT!”

For all The Fullness of The Deity dwells in him bodily. And you also are completed in him, who is The Head of all Principalities and Powers  Colossians 2:9-10 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Have you ever heard or said, “Well, nobody’s perfect!”  Sure you have, we have all said it probably at one time or another.  But let’s see what God’s Word says about it because that is the thing that matters.

The LORD will perfect [that which] concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, [endureth] for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 138:8 KJV

The word perfect in that verse is the Hebrew word gamar.  It means to end, come to an end or complete.

Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the actual form of those realities, it can never perfect the worshipers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year. Hebrews 10:1 Holman Christian Standard Bible

The word perfect in the above verse is the greek word teleioo.  Very similar to the Hebrew word gamar.  Teleioo means to  to bring to an end, to complete, perfect, to consummate, bring to its end stage.  The verse shows the greatness of the New Testament versus the Old as it says that the law could never perfect the worshippers(you) because it was just a shadow.

For he found fault with them, and he said, “Behold, the days are coming, says THE LORD JEHOVAH, and I will perfect a New Covenant for the family of the house of Israel and for the family of the house of Judah.” Hebrews 8:8 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

We are of the house of Judah just as Jesus was and it is through Him that we are of that house.  We are also spiritual Israel.  The Lord Himself here says the New Covenant will be perfect and it is.  He never said that of the Old covenant.  So what we have is a multiplicity of scriptures that talk about us being or becoming complete or perfect.  How is that?  Because the New Covenant is all about and all for US.  So what does this have to do with you with all your apparent faults and mistakes and missteps?  EVERYTHING!!!  Because you are in Him, in Christ Jesus, The Word says YOU ARE COMPLETE IN HIM. Not that you are going to be but you are.  The law could never make you perfect but Jesus Who is GRACE and TRUTH has made you perfect in and through Himself.  It’s not based on what you done or have not done.  Look at this scripture

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what He suffered  Hebrews 2:10 New International Version

God the Father made Jesus the man PERFECT through what “HE” suffered.  Not what you suffer.  You have no business suffering because He already suffered for you.  If we all were going to suffer, then Jesus could have stayed at home, saved Himself the beating, the spit, the crown of thorns and everything else.  Because Jesus was made perfect and you are in Him YOU ARE PERFECT!!!!

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. I John 4:17 KJV

By this Love(God the Father) is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, because just as Jesus is, so also are we in this world. I John 4:17 NET Bible

So our love is even made perfect through Jesus.  Our perfection is in Christ not in ourselves. So if Jesus says you are perfect, who are you going to believe? Are you going to believe Him, the world or yourself?

TRUTH 4 THOUGHT – WEEKEND EDITION – GOD OR FATHER?

“And I have revealed to them Your Name, and I am revealing it, so that the love with which You have loved Me shall be in them, and I shall be in them.”   John 17:26 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

What Name is Jesus talking about that He has revealed to  the disciples and is revealing to us?  The Name “FATHER”.  Do you know whenever Jesus was speaking personally HE NEVER EVER called His Father, God?  As Brother Hagin would say, “Oh if this truth would ever dawn on you!!!”  The only time Jesus personally referred to His Father as God, was when He was on the cross and God turned His back on Him when he took all of our sins, and the sin of every person ever to be born past, present and future upon Himself.  He then said, “My God! My God!  Why have you forsaken Me?”  It’s a powerful and wonderful thing to ponder and take time giving thought to the truth that Jesus NEVER knew the feeling or the fact prior to that moment of being separated from the Father.  As a matter of truth I believe the thing that He dreaded the most, that made Him sweat blood in the Garden of Gethsamne was knowing that when that moment came He would be severed from the Father for a period of time.  I believe that he dreaded this more than the spit, beating, whippings, crown of thorns and even the crucifixion.

If that is how Jesus felt imagine how the Father felt.  What many  believers fail to realize or give serious thought to is that God the Father HAS FEELINGS!!!  He has feelings, He is just not led by His feelings.  But they are feelings no less.  When you understand this you will begin to see Him more as a Father and less as “just God.”  I am not demeaning Who or What God is by no means.  This has to be a revelation to you.  Jesus is our ultimate example, not a preacher but Jesus, Who is The Word!!  If Jesus refers to Him as Father almost exclusively so should you.  This makes your relationship more personal, more intimate, more loving, more paternal, more caring and you will realize how much you are cared for.  In John 17 alone Jesus calls Him Father at least 6 times and He talks about the Name Father even more than that.  Don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it and read  it yourself.  Throughout His time here He constantly spoke of God personally as “My Father” and so should you.  It will change your relationship and the way you see Poppa.  Jesus even specifically addresses this after He was raised from the dead.  Why?  Because an actual change had taken place.  Before He died and was risen He always called Him “My Father or The Father.”  But afterwards look at what He said.

Jesus saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and Your Father; and to My God, and Your God.  John 20:17 KJV

Notice how He said, “to My Father and Your Father”.  Because Jesus died and you have been born again, God is now and forever YOUR FATHER!!!  Take sometime to think about that.  Renew your mind to that and watch you life go to a new level of confidence and assurance knowing God is YOUR FATHER!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT DOUBT Part 2

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 KJV

Yesterday we talked about doubt. We defined doubt as is the Greek word diakrino and it means I distinguish, discern, doubt, hesitate I separate, distinguish, discern one thing from another; I doubt, hesitate, waver. The main meaning of the word diakrino is to make a difference. We talked about Jesus brought up speaking to a mountain after they saw him speak to a tree. In comparison to a mountain a tree is small, miniscuile even. What Jesus was saying was, “Don’t make a difference between speaking to a tree and a mountain.” Perhaps that does not bring this home for you. Jesus was saying, in today’s terms, “Don’t make a difference between a headache and cancer. Don’t make a difference between a $25 dollar debt and a $250,000 debt.  Now you may be wondering, “How in the world am I supposed to do that?  Jesus gave the answer to that question as well.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  Mark 11:22 KJV

Jesus’ answer to them was to, “Have faith in God.”   The actual translation of what He said can be read in the Douay-Rheims Bible Version.
And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God. Mark 11:22 Douay-Rheims Bible  Version

The answer is “HAVE” the faith of God.  He saying, “Here! HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD!” Use God’s faith to bring it to pass.  Can you see God saying, “Light be and then closing His Eyes to peek and see if it actually works?”  Of course not.  You know this is how God operates. He believes then He Speaks.  But this is not just how He functions. We do the same thing.

But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV

So God the Father and Jesus want us to HAVE the same faith God Himself has and then believe and then speak and don’t doubt. Don’t make a difference whether we feel or think its something big or small.  Don’t make a difference.  By Jesus telling us to not make a difference He is essentially telling us, “There is no difference between a headache and cancer.”  Human beings look at things in terms of hard or easy and that came as a result of eating from the tree of the “knowledge of good and evil.”  God the Father never intended for man to even know about doubt.  If you have knowledge of doubt then you have the opportunity to doubt.  That knowledge of it (which is evil) creates the possibility for it.   Viruses and germs had no authority or ability to harm Adam and his wife.  The animals could not attack them and would not. Why?  Because Adam had authority and ability over them.  Jesus has restored this authority and ability to believers through His Glory which He gave to us in John 17:22.  However you have to know this and be conscious of it. Be conscious of your authority. Be conscious of your ability in, through and by Christ. It’s the same authority and ability that Christ Himself has because we are His Body.  So I encourage you, BELIEVE don’t DOUBT.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT “DOUBT” Part 1

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 KJV

Doubt. We’ve all been faced with it.  We’ve all dealt with it at one time or another and if you  say you have not I doubt you are telling the truth.  LOL.  The great thing is we can depend on someone greater than ourselves to help rid our life of doubt in any area and that person is our Lord Jesus.  In the above scripture, Jesus was telling His disciples a secret. The key to this secret is what He was talking about right before He spoke this scripture that Brother Kenneth Hagin made so popular, people thought the name of the scripture was Hagin 11:23.    The day before this scripture takes place Jesus came to a tree looking for fruit.  He found none on it so he said to it,  “No man eat fruit from you now or hereafter.”  The disciples were with Him and heard what He said and they continued on to the town where they were going.  The next day when they left town they passed by the same tree and noticed it was completely dried up from the roots overnight.  His disciples were astonished  at how quickly it had dried up and called Jesus’s attention to it because Jesus had paid the tree no attention after speaking to it.  This is where we pick up with the above scripture.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 KJV

So in response to their amazement that the tree actually did what Jesus told it to do, Jesus told them that WHOEVER, not just HIM but WHOEVER shall say to this mountain that they were by at the time (and yes it was a real mountain),”Be removed and be thou cast into the sea; AND SHALL NOT DOUBT in his heart (not his head), but shall  believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.  Now let me ask you a question. Would you like to HAVE whatsoever you saith?  The answer for most people is NO.  Why?  First of all they don’t believe what they say. Second of all most people, even believers talk and speak death and negativity so if they had what they said unfortunately they would be dead.  You have to make a conscious choose to fix this and stop saying, “My feet are killing me or I am dying for a piece of cake.”  That kind of talk will need to be removed from your life because you will have what you say. Jesus said so here and in the book of Proverbs.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.          Proverbs 18:21 New Living Translation

Make a decision to watch and guard the words coming out of your mouth. Then you will be ready to move on to the real meat of our message today.  So remember the main reason Jesus talked to the disciples about not doubting was because of what He did to the tree and their amazement.  Again they were amazed that the tree actually did what Jesus said. I believe Jesus was amazed that they were so shocked so He decided to use this as a teachable moment.  Lets look again at what He said.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 KJV

The key word we’re are focusing on is doubt.  The word doubt there is the Greek word diakrino and it means  I distinguish, discern, doubt, hesitate I separate, distinguish, discern one thing from another; I doubt, hesitate, waver.  The main meaning of the word diakrino is to make a difference.  Now always keep scriptures in context and the context included the fig tree which He cursed.  If you pay attention you will see that Jesus brought up speaking to a mountain after they saw Him speak to a tree.  In comparison to a mountain a tree is small, minuscule even. Why?  Because you are now doubting, you are making a difference and that is what doubt really is. To make a difference.  Do you know how many dreams are not pursued because of doubt?  Because the person needs millions to bring their dream to pass and they can see if it was $250 dollars but 2.5 million they cannot figure out how that kind of money would ever get into their hands. I’ll answer that for you and it may shock you.  You know why most people CAN get their hands on $250?  Because they BELIEVE they CAN.  It’s the same reason most people CAN’T get their hands on 2.5 million dollars. They DON’T BELIEVE they CAN.  We will finish this up tomorrow but you need to grab a hold of this teaching and never let it go. It’s God’s Word.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT ALL THINGS ARE NOW READY

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And  he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  Revelation 21:3-6  KJV

Do you realize how many things are now complete, done and finished because of Jesus?  If you don’t you could wind up waiting to get things in Heaven that are available and yours to receive right now.  Jesus’ finished work is so amazing and full it takes deliberate and accurate reading to really see that what appears to be meant for later is a finished work and on the menu for order now.  Let’s look at today’s topic scripture and The Holy Ghost and I will show you what we mean. John starts this scripture of talking about he saw a new Heaven and a new Earth.   This tense seems to definitely put this in a different time.  However verse three uses the word ‘Behold”.  The word behold means ‘look or look at here’.  That means there is something to be seen right now.  Next it says the tabernacle of God is with men.  One of Jesus’ Name’s is Immanuel. That Name means God is with of.  Colossians also says, “In Him (Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the God head bodily.  So Jesus Himself is a tabernacle for God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  The remaining portions of verse three continue to state things that have already happened.  Doesn’t God already dwell with you through Jesus Christ?  Aren’t we already God’s people?  Yes, in fact we are His Children.  We already established that God is with us and He is already our God.  Now lets move on to verse four.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Think about this? Haven’t you had situations where God has wiped the tears from your eyes. He delivered you and brought out and turned that situation around and healed your body.  The main reason for no more tears is that you are born again and delivered from eternal damnation.  You have passed from death unto life because of Christ.  Look at what Romans 6:9 says.

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. Romans 6:9  King James Version.

If death hath no more dominion over Christ and you are in Christ then death hath no more dominion over you.  Verse four goes on to say there shall be no more sorrow, or crying, neither shall there be any more pain. Why?  Because the former things ARE passed away.  ‘Are’ is past tense.  After this Jesus Himself speaks.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Jesus says in verse five that, “Behold, (Look) I make all things new.  Then He told John to write because these words ARE faithful and true.  Faith is always present tense, not going to be.   Then if you were not convinced already, Jesus seals the deal and says, “It is DONE!!”.  The same words He used in the last few minutes on the cross.  It is finished.  This is a revelation in the book of Revelation.  See it the way Jesus sees it and to you it will be done.  No more sorrow, no more pain.  Don’t take one pain big or small in your physical body.  He said the former or old things have passed away.  They are gone.  Don’t wait until you get to Heaven to receive the benefits of eternal life.   Eternal life is yours right here and right now.  Believe and receive!  Amen!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT STAND STILL vs. SIT STILL

Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.  Ruth 3:18 King James Version

If you are familiar with the story of Ruth and Boaz you may or may not know that Boaz is a picture of Christ Jesus our Redeemer. Boaz is a kinsman redeemer for the family of Ruth and Naomi.  After meeting Boaz and gleaning in his field and already gaining favor with him, Ruth wonders and seems to be a bit anxious about what will happen next.  But notice the wisdom of Naomi as she tells Ruth to ‘sit still’ my daughter until you know how the matter will fall.   The word matter there is the Hebrew word dabar.  The word dabar means word.  So you can say, “Sit still, until you know how the WORD will fall or lie: for the man (Boaz/Jesus) will not rest until He has finished the thing this day.  Jesus did not stop until He said, “It is finished!” on the Cross.  The interesting thing is that Naomi told Ruth to ‘sit still’ even though her and Ruth needed  this deliverance.  Under the law a similar statement was said when the children of Israel were anxious about a much needed deliverance.

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again.  Exodus 14:13 New Living Translation

Notice in this case with Moses, Moses told the people ‘stand still’.  Would you agree that sitting is a more comfortable position than even standing? When you are seated you can rest and relax your body. You can take a complete rest. And if you are seated with Jesus you can rest even more.  Let’s look at Jesus being told to sit down by The Father.

David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.”‘  Mark 12:36 NIV

Here David foresaw God the Father telling Jesus to sit down until I put your enemies under your feet.

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand  Mark 16:19 New Living Translation

So Jesus is seated at the right hand of The Father.  So where are you?

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6 New Living Translation

So we were raised up with Christ when He was raised and we have been seated with Him in the Heavenly realms because we are united with Him.  We are seated in the place of honor ‘with Christ’.  One of the big things to consider is that Moses told the children of Israel to “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which He will show you today.”  They only saw the salvation.  We HAVE SALVATION, because we HAVE Jesus, Yeshua which means God saves. We also have eternal salvation that means we are forever preserved, delivered, prospered, healthy and saved.  This has all been done for us by Jesus.  He did not rest until EVERYTHING was finished.  He finished the matter.  He fulfilled the law and now we are no longer under the law but under GRACE Who is Jesus!!!!!  Whatever you are facing sit still for Jesus has already finished the matter.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT YOUR LORDSHIP OVER SIN AND DEATH

On His robe at His thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.  Revelation 19:16 New Living Translation

If you have been born again any amount of time, you have probably heard Jesus called, “The Kings of kings and the Lord of lords.”  The question is do you know who these ‘kings and lords’ are that He is King and Lord over?  That would be YOU and ME.

Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.”  Revelation 17:14 New Living Translation

That last verse is exciting because it says when Jesus puts the final beat down on the devil we are going to be with Him.  That’s right, we will be right there with Jesus.   But that’s not our subject today.  What I want to focus on is what does our kingship and lordship mean and afford us?  It affords us the same rights and privileges and power and authority as JESUS!!!  The scripture tells us that the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death in Romans 8:32.  So we are free from the law of sin and death.  Romans chapter 6 makes an even more defining statement.

Knowing that Christ, having been raised up from among those who are dead, no longer dies. Death over Him no longer exercises lordship. For the death He died, He died with respect to our sinful nature once for all. But the life He lives, He lives with respect to God  Romans 6:9-10 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Did you see what that just said?  It said death over Him no longer exercises lordship.  Jesus is Lord even over death.  You are a lord in and under Jesus that makes you a lord over death as well.  Death no longer exercises lordship over Christ and you are in Christ so death has no lordship over you in any way, shape or form.  Understand all fear has it’s root in the fear of death.  When you are no longer afraid of death because of the revelation that death has no more dominion over you through Christ Jesus, it frees you on a level that you have never been freed before.  Death used to reign and in unbelievers lives it still does and unfortunately in believers lives who do not know the truth that makes them free.  But look at what The Word of God says.

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.  Romans 5:12 New Living Translation

Adam’s one sin brought death to every person who ever lived.  But thank God the Father He did not leave us there.  No through Christ Jesus He gave us back the eternal, blessed, healed and whole life that God the Father had planned for us all along.  Death never was The Father’s plan.  Growing old and dying was never part of The Father’s plan.

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:21 New Living Translation

Grace who is Jesus rules now.  Make sure you do not allow sin and death rule over you in any way shape or form.  You are to walk in the perfect will of God and accept nothing less.  That will is GRACE!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE Part 2

…for the law of the Spirit, that of the life in Christ Jesus, freed you once for all from the law of the sinful nature and of death. Romans 8:2

We talked previously about laws and righteousness and how they are related. We also talked about what the word law means in the above scripture.  The word law there in that scripture is the Greek word nomos. It has various meanings but the meaning we are interested in is: a law or rule producing a state approved of God.  People for the most part know more about the geographic ‘state’ that they live in than they do the state of their own lives.  As a believer you cannot afford to not know the state you are in as a result of Jesus becoming your Lord and Saviour.  Your knowledge of that state can be the difference between life and death, blessing and cursing, abundance and lack.  Pay close attention to the word state as used in the following two scripture verses.

…by grace have you been saved completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of salvation which persists through present time, Ephesians 2:5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

For by the grace have you been saved in time past completely, through faith, with the result that your salvation persists through present time; and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, Ephesians 2:8 Kenneth Wuest Translation

I want you to pay attention to two things here. First of all the Holy Ghost had the Apostle Paul say the same thing two times in one chapter just a few verses apart. That means pay attention.  Secondly, both scriptures say that you have been saved completely in past time with the present result that you are in a “state” of salvation that persist thru present time.   This is a powerful and pregnant statement that you need to spend some time chewing on. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND and YOUR LIFE if you take the time to understand whats being said.  To help you understand we need to define the words saved and the word salvation.

saved:  sózó: to save
Original Word: σῴζω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: sózó
Phonetic Spelling: (sode’-zo)
Short Definition: I save, heal
Definition: I save, heal, preserve, rescue.

One of the commentaries makes an interesting observance. It says, “by grace ye are saved– Greek, “Ye are in a saved state.” Not merely “ye are being saved,” but ye “are passed from death unto life” (Joh 5:24).

Now lets look at the word salvation:  it means and includes welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety.

The same commentary by Jameison Fassuet and Brown says, “Salvation is to the Christian not a thing to be waited for hereafter (Heaven), but already realized (1Jo 3:14)”

So when you look at this scripture in context and definition this is how you should see it.

…by grace have you been saved, healed, preserved and rescued completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation and safety which persists through present time, Ephesians 2:5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Regardless of what your life looks like what that verse says IS THE STATE that you are in.  Too many believers think they are trying to get healed and prosperous when The Word of God declares they are already in a healed and prosperous and delivered state.  Take the time to become fully persuaded about this. IT WIL CHANGE YOUR MIND & LIFE.

All the ‘blessed’ to you. Shalom!!!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE Part 1

…for the law of the Spirit, that of the life in Christ Jesus, freed you once for all from the law of the sinful nature and of death.  Romans 8:2

When a person is driving a car and they come to a corner or location and see a red octagon with the white letters S-T-O-P on it.  They know exactly what it means (or they should).  They also know that that stop sign is a law.  They may choose to ignore the sign thereby ignoring the law and if a officer of the law is nearby and sees them they may be pulled over for violating that law with repercussions of a ticket and or fine. This very natural scenario is easily understood by us and I want you to pay close attention because Jesus wants you to KNOW about another law, one that works for you all the time but like the driver you may have been ignoring it or simply ignorant of it.  Its called “the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.”  Let’s look at our foundational scripture once more.

…for the law of the Spirit, that of the life in Christ Jesus, freed you once for all from the law of the sinful nature and of death. Romans 8:2

The word law there in that scripture is the Greek word nomos.  It has various meanings but the meaning we are interested in is:  a law or rule producing a state approved of God.  What is the state approved by God our Father, our Poppa, our Daddy? RIGHTEOUSNESS.  Let’s look at another scripture.

…Who (Jesus) Himself carried up to the Cross our sins in His body and offered Himself there as on an altar, doing this in order that we, having died with respect to our sins, might live with respect to righteousness, by means of Whose bleeding stripe [the word “stripe” is in the singular here; a picture of our Lord’s back after the scourging, one mass of raw, quivering flesh with no skin remaining, trickling with blood] you were healed… I Peter 2:24 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So we see in Romans 8 we have been freed ONCE and FOR ALL from the law of the sinful nature or sin and death. This is because Jesus bore sin and death for us so we don’t have to.  So we have been freed from something but what have we been freed to?  RIGHTEOUSNESS.  1 Peter tells us that Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body of the Cross and when He died we died with Him to sin and when He arose from the dead He arose “dead to sin.”  What does it mean to be dead to sin.  Let me ask you, “How much malaria can a disease carrying mosquito give to a dead corpse sitting in the morgue?”  The answer is NONE, ZERO, ZILCH!!! That person or corpse is dead!  The disease transmitted by that mosquito can not have any affect on that dead corpse.  This is what it means to be dead to sin and free from sin. Notice in the scripture in 1 Peter 2:24 it says, “having died with respect to our sins,”.  Jesus did this ONCE and for ALL and if you are a believer you were and are included in the ALL. So now you live with respect or acknowledging or acting on the knowledge of RIGHTEOUSNESS which is the state approved by God. Righteousness is simply everything being right or as it should be in the way our Father created.  This means no sickness, no disease, no lack, no poverty, no fear.  The law of the Spirit has freed us from these things.  A law is an inward principle of action, operating with the fixedness and regularity of a law.  A stop sign does not change.  It means STOP every time, all the time.  The Law of the Spirit does not change.  It operates with fixedness and regularity ALL THE TIME.  And since it frees you from sin and death that means you are free from sickness and  disease and lack and anything else that came or exist as a result of sin and death brought into the world by and thru Adam.  This is the STATE you are in whether you know it or not OR whether it looks like it or not.  We walk by faith not by sight and if you believe in the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus you will walk in and see the benefits of that law in your life.

We will finish this up soon. Stay tuned!  All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT YOUR TRUTH AND YOUR SHIELD PART 4

….his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Psalms 91:4 King James Version

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  I Corinthian 13:6 New International Version

Let’s continue with our uncovering of the truth being our shield and buckler.  In the scripture above in I Corinthians, it tells us that Love(God the Father) rejoices with the truth.  We already know that His truth is our shield and our buckler.  So Love (God the Father) rejoices in that which shields you.  That means that God the Father rejoices in that and with that which shields you.  That also means that The Father just doesn’t cover, surround, protect and defend you.  He rejoices in that which covers, surrounds, protects and defends you.  He takes great joy in protecting you.  Since the Father delights in protecting you, this should give you a greater level of confidence, peace and rest.  You can rest in His protection.  All this protection comes out of THE TRUTH.  This makes this next scripture even more impacting.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.  3 John 1:4 New International Version

That word walking in the verse is the word peripateó.  It means to live, conduct your life, walk around.  This means that this is the way you live ALL THE TIME.  When you think of living in the truth, this means you walk around ‘conscious of the truth at all times’.  You walk around KNOWING that you are ALWAYS HEALED.  You walk around KNOW that you are ALWAYS PROSPEROUS regardless of what your bank account looks like.  You walk around KNOWING that nothing can happen to you just like JESUS.  The Word of God says in I John 4:17 that ‘as He is, so are we in this world.”    This truth in I John 4:17 is a shield and a buckler to us.  We are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus.  When you are conscious of this all the time you began to live the same victorious life Jesus did and by His Words, His Truth you do even greater works than what Jesus did.  I didn’t say that, Jesus did.    Think about that.

All the ‘blessed’ to you.  Shalom!
