For all The Fullness of The Deity dwells in him bodily. And you also are completed in him, who is The Head of all Principalities and Powers  Colossians 2:9-10 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Have you ever heard or said, “Well, nobody’s perfect!”  Sure you have, we have all said it probably at one time or another.  But let’s see what God’s Word says about it because that is the thing that matters.

The LORD will perfect [that which] concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, [endureth] for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 138:8 KJV

The word perfect in that verse is the Hebrew word gamar.  It means to end, come to an end or complete.

Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the actual form of those realities, it can never perfect the worshipers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year. Hebrews 10:1 Holman Christian Standard Bible

The word perfect in the above verse is the greek word teleioo.  Very similar to the Hebrew word gamar.  Teleioo means to  to bring to an end, to complete, perfect, to consummate, bring to its end stage.  The verse shows the greatness of the New Testament versus the Old as it says that the law could never perfect the worshippers(you) because it was just a shadow.

For he found fault with them, and he said, “Behold, the days are coming, says THE LORD JEHOVAH, and I will perfect a New Covenant for the family of the house of Israel and for the family of the house of Judah.” Hebrews 8:8 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

We are of the house of Judah just as Jesus was and it is through Him that we are of that house.  We are also spiritual Israel.  The Lord Himself here says the New Covenant will be perfect and it is.  He never said that of the Old covenant.  So what we have is a multiplicity of scriptures that talk about us being or becoming complete or perfect.  How is that?  Because the New Covenant is all about and all for US.  So what does this have to do with you with all your apparent faults and mistakes and missteps?  EVERYTHING!!!  Because you are in Him, in Christ Jesus, The Word says YOU ARE COMPLETE IN HIM. Not that you are going to be but you are.  The law could never make you perfect but Jesus Who is GRACE and TRUTH has made you perfect in and through Himself.  It’s not based on what you done or have not done.  Look at this scripture

In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what He suffered  Hebrews 2:10 New International Version

God the Father made Jesus the man PERFECT through what “HE” suffered.  Not what you suffer.  You have no business suffering because He already suffered for you.  If we all were going to suffer, then Jesus could have stayed at home, saved Himself the beating, the spit, the crown of thorns and everything else.  Because Jesus was made perfect and you are in Him YOU ARE PERFECT!!!!

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. I John 4:17 KJV

By this Love(God the Father) is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, because just as Jesus is, so also are we in this world. I John 4:17 NET Bible

So our love is even made perfect through Jesus.  Our perfection is in Christ not in ourselves. So if Jesus says you are perfect, who are you going to believe? Are you going to believe Him, the world or yourself?

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

“And I have revealed to them Your Name, and I am revealing it, so that the love with which You have loved Me shall be in them, and I shall be in them.”   John 17:26 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

What Name is Jesus talking about that He has revealed to  the disciples and is revealing to us?  The Name “FATHER”.  Do you know whenever Jesus was speaking personally HE NEVER EVER called His Father, God?  As Brother Hagin would say, “Oh if this truth would ever dawn on you!!!”  The only time Jesus personally referred to His Father as God, was when He was on the cross and God turned His back on Him when he took all of our sins, and the sin of every person ever to be born past, present and future upon Himself.  He then said, “My God! My God!  Why have you forsaken Me?”  It’s a powerful and wonderful thing to ponder and take time giving thought to the truth that Jesus NEVER knew the feeling or the fact prior to that moment of being separated from the Father.  As a matter of truth I believe the thing that He dreaded the most, that made Him sweat blood in the Garden of Gethsamne was knowing that when that moment came He would be severed from the Father for a period of time.  I believe that he dreaded this more than the spit, beating, whippings, crown of thorns and even the crucifixion.

If that is how Jesus felt imagine how the Father felt.  What many  believers fail to realize or give serious thought to is that God the Father HAS FEELINGS!!!  He has feelings, He is just not led by His feelings.  But they are feelings no less.  When you understand this you will begin to see Him more as a Father and less as “just God.”  I am not demeaning Who or What God is by no means.  This has to be a revelation to you.  Jesus is our ultimate example, not a preacher but Jesus, Who is The Word!!  If Jesus refers to Him as Father almost exclusively so should you.  This makes your relationship more personal, more intimate, more loving, more paternal, more caring and you will realize how much you are cared for.  In John 17 alone Jesus calls Him Father at least 6 times and He talks about the Name Father even more than that.  Don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it and read  it yourself.  Throughout His time here He constantly spoke of God personally as “My Father” and so should you.  It will change your relationship and the way you see Poppa.  Jesus even specifically addresses this after He was raised from the dead.  Why?  Because an actual change had taken place.  Before He died and was risen He always called Him “My Father or The Father.”  But afterwards look at what He said.

Jesus saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and Your Father; and to My God, and Your God.  John 20:17 KJV

Notice how He said, “to My Father and Your Father”.  Because Jesus died and you have been born again, God is now and forever YOUR FATHER!!!  Take sometime to think about that.  Renew your mind to that and watch you life go to a new level of confidence and assurance knowing God is YOUR FATHER!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And  he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  Revelation 21:3-6  KJV

Do you realize how many things are now complete, done and finished because of Jesus?  If you don’t you could wind up waiting to get things in Heaven that are available and yours to receive right now.  Jesus’ finished work is so amazing and full it takes deliberate and accurate reading to really see that what appears to be meant for later is a finished work and on the menu for order now.  Let’s look at today’s topic scripture and The Holy Ghost and I will show you what we mean. John starts this scripture of talking about he saw a new Heaven and a new Earth.   This tense seems to definitely put this in a different time.  However verse three uses the word ‘Behold”.  The word behold means ‘look or look at here’.  That means there is something to be seen right now.  Next it says the tabernacle of God is with men.  One of Jesus’ Name’s is Immanuel. That Name means God is with of.  Colossians also says, “In Him (Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the God head bodily.  So Jesus Himself is a tabernacle for God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  The remaining portions of verse three continue to state things that have already happened.  Doesn’t God already dwell with you through Jesus Christ?  Aren’t we already God’s people?  Yes, in fact we are His Children.  We already established that God is with us and He is already our God.  Now lets move on to verse four.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Think about this? Haven’t you had situations where God has wiped the tears from your eyes. He delivered you and brought out and turned that situation around and healed your body.  The main reason for no more tears is that you are born again and delivered from eternal damnation.  You have passed from death unto life because of Christ.  Look at what Romans 6:9 says.

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. Romans 6:9  King James Version.

If death hath no more dominion over Christ and you are in Christ then death hath no more dominion over you.  Verse four goes on to say there shall be no more sorrow, or crying, neither shall there be any more pain. Why?  Because the former things ARE passed away.  ‘Are’ is past tense.  After this Jesus Himself speaks.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Jesus says in verse five that, “Behold, (Look) I make all things new.  Then He told John to write because these words ARE faithful and true.  Faith is always present tense, not going to be.   Then if you were not convinced already, Jesus seals the deal and says, “It is DONE!!”.  The same words He used in the last few minutes on the cross.  It is finished.  This is a revelation in the book of Revelation.  See it the way Jesus sees it and to you it will be done.  No more sorrow, no more pain.  Don’t take one pain big or small in your physical body.  He said the former or old things have passed away.  They are gone.  Don’t wait until you get to Heaven to receive the benefits of eternal life.   Eternal life is yours right here and right now.  Believe and receive!  Amen!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom

On His robe at His thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.  Revelation 19:16 New Living Translation

If you have been born again any amount of time, you have probably heard Jesus called, “The Kings of kings and the Lord of lords.”  The question is do you know who these ‘kings and lords’ are that He is King and Lord over?  That would be YOU and ME.

Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.”  Revelation 17:14 New Living Translation

That last verse is exciting because it says when Jesus puts the final beat down on the devil we are going to be with Him.  That’s right, we will be right there with Jesus.   But that’s not our subject today.  What I want to focus on is what does our kingship and lordship mean and afford us?  It affords us the same rights and privileges and power and authority as JESUS!!!  The scripture tells us that the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death in Romans 8:32.  So we are free from the law of sin and death.  Romans chapter 6 makes an even more defining statement.

Knowing that Christ, having been raised up from among those who are dead, no longer dies. Death over Him no longer exercises lordship. For the death He died, He died with respect to our sinful nature once for all. But the life He lives, He lives with respect to God  Romans 6:9-10 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Did you see what that just said?  It said death over Him no longer exercises lordship.  Jesus is Lord even over death.  You are a lord in and under Jesus that makes you a lord over death as well.  Death no longer exercises lordship over Christ and you are in Christ so death has no lordship over you in any way, shape or form.  Understand all fear has it’s root in the fear of death.  When you are no longer afraid of death because of the revelation that death has no more dominion over you through Christ Jesus, it frees you on a level that you have never been freed before.  Death used to reign and in unbelievers lives it still does and unfortunately in believers lives who do not know the truth that makes them free.  But look at what The Word of God says.

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.  Romans 5:12 New Living Translation

Adam’s one sin brought death to every person who ever lived.  But thank God the Father He did not leave us there.  No through Christ Jesus He gave us back the eternal, blessed, healed and whole life that God the Father had planned for us all along.  Death never was The Father’s plan.  Growing old and dying was never part of The Father’s plan.

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:21 New Living Translation

Grace who is Jesus rules now.  Make sure you do not allow sin and death rule over you in any way shape or form.  You are to walk in the perfect will of God and accept nothing less.  That will is GRACE!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

…for the law of the Spirit, that of the life in Christ Jesus, freed you once for all from the law of the sinful nature and of death. Romans 8:2

We talked previously about laws and righteousness and how they are related. We also talked about what the word law means in the above scripture.  The word law there in that scripture is the Greek word nomos. It has various meanings but the meaning we are interested in is: a law or rule producing a state approved of God.  People for the most part know more about the geographic ‘state’ that they live in than they do the state of their own lives.  As a believer you cannot afford to not know the state you are in as a result of Jesus becoming your Lord and Saviour.  Your knowledge of that state can be the difference between life and death, blessing and cursing, abundance and lack.  Pay close attention to the word state as used in the following two scripture verses.

…by grace have you been saved completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of salvation which persists through present time, Ephesians 2:5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

For by the grace have you been saved in time past completely, through faith, with the result that your salvation persists through present time; and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, Ephesians 2:8 Kenneth Wuest Translation

I want you to pay attention to two things here. First of all the Holy Ghost had the Apostle Paul say the same thing two times in one chapter just a few verses apart. That means pay attention.  Secondly, both scriptures say that you have been saved completely in past time with the present result that you are in a “state” of salvation that persist thru present time.   This is a powerful and pregnant statement that you need to spend some time chewing on. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND and YOUR LIFE if you take the time to understand whats being said.  To help you understand we need to define the words saved and the word salvation.

saved:  sózó: to save
Original Word: σῴζω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: sózó
Phonetic Spelling: (sode’-zo)
Short Definition: I save, heal
Definition: I save, heal, preserve, rescue.

One of the commentaries makes an interesting observance. It says, “by grace ye are saved– Greek, “Ye are in a saved state.” Not merely “ye are being saved,” but ye “are passed from death unto life” (Joh 5:24).

Now lets look at the word salvation:  it means and includes welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety.

The same commentary by Jameison Fassuet and Brown says, “Salvation is to the Christian not a thing to be waited for hereafter (Heaven), but already realized (1Jo 3:14)”

So when you look at this scripture in context and definition this is how you should see it.

…by grace have you been saved, healed, preserved and rescued completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation and safety which persists through present time, Ephesians 2:5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Regardless of what your life looks like what that verse says IS THE STATE that you are in.  Too many believers think they are trying to get healed and prosperous when The Word of God declares they are already in a healed and prosperous and delivered state.  Take the time to become fully persuaded about this. IT WIL CHANGE YOUR MIND & LIFE.

All the ‘blessed’ to you. Shalom!!!

…for the law of the Spirit, that of the life in Christ Jesus, freed you once for all from the law of the sinful nature and of death.  Romans 8:2

When a person is driving a car and they come to a corner or location and see a red octagon with the white letters S-T-O-P on it.  They know exactly what it means (or they should).  They also know that that stop sign is a law.  They may choose to ignore the sign thereby ignoring the law and if a officer of the law is nearby and sees them they may be pulled over for violating that law with repercussions of a ticket and or fine. This very natural scenario is easily understood by us and I want you to pay close attention because Jesus wants you to KNOW about another law, one that works for you all the time but like the driver you may have been ignoring it or simply ignorant of it.  Its called “the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.”  Let’s look at our foundational scripture once more.

…for the law of the Spirit, that of the life in Christ Jesus, freed you once for all from the law of the sinful nature and of death. Romans 8:2

The word law there in that scripture is the Greek word nomos.  It has various meanings but the meaning we are interested in is:  a law or rule producing a state approved of God.  What is the state approved by God our Father, our Poppa, our Daddy? RIGHTEOUSNESS.  Let’s look at another scripture.

…Who (Jesus) Himself carried up to the Cross our sins in His body and offered Himself there as on an altar, doing this in order that we, having died with respect to our sins, might live with respect to righteousness, by means of Whose bleeding stripe [the word “stripe” is in the singular here; a picture of our Lord’s back after the scourging, one mass of raw, quivering flesh with no skin remaining, trickling with blood] you were healed… I Peter 2:24 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So we see in Romans 8 we have been freed ONCE and FOR ALL from the law of the sinful nature or sin and death. This is because Jesus bore sin and death for us so we don’t have to.  So we have been freed from something but what have we been freed to?  RIGHTEOUSNESS.  1 Peter tells us that Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body of the Cross and when He died we died with Him to sin and when He arose from the dead He arose “dead to sin.”  What does it mean to be dead to sin.  Let me ask you, “How much malaria can a disease carrying mosquito give to a dead corpse sitting in the morgue?”  The answer is NONE, ZERO, ZILCH!!! That person or corpse is dead!  The disease transmitted by that mosquito can not have any affect on that dead corpse.  This is what it means to be dead to sin and free from sin. Notice in the scripture in 1 Peter 2:24 it says, “having died with respect to our sins,”.  Jesus did this ONCE and for ALL and if you are a believer you were and are included in the ALL. So now you live with respect or acknowledging or acting on the knowledge of RIGHTEOUSNESS which is the state approved by God. Righteousness is simply everything being right or as it should be in the way our Father created.  This means no sickness, no disease, no lack, no poverty, no fear.  The law of the Spirit has freed us from these things.  A law is an inward principle of action, operating with the fixedness and regularity of a law.  A stop sign does not change.  It means STOP every time, all the time.  The Law of the Spirit does not change.  It operates with fixedness and regularity ALL THE TIME.  And since it frees you from sin and death that means you are free from sickness and  disease and lack and anything else that came or exist as a result of sin and death brought into the world by and thru Adam.  This is the STATE you are in whether you know it or not OR whether it looks like it or not.  We walk by faith not by sight and if you believe in the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus you will walk in and see the benefits of that law in your life.

We will finish this up soon. Stay tuned!  All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17 KJV

Shalom!! I really love this scripture. I love it even more now that I have studied it out and know what or should I say Who it’s really talking about. When I grew up in church they use to sing a song and one of the verses went, “There’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No not one! No not one!!” Now I know what they meant even though I am not sure about the lowly part. LOL!! But either way the part that there is no friend like Jesus is DA TRUTH!!!

This scripture refers to our natural friends but if you study it out it is really taking about Jesus. Jesus loves ALL THE TIME, Whether you are good, bad, indifferent. Also look at the next portion of the scripture. A ‘brother’ is born for adversity. In the natural this means that a brother, Christian brother included should be a help in adversity. But Jesus WAS BORN for adversity. Jesus was born to take away every adverse situation and circumstance. That is one of the reasons He was born. So while we acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we must also keep in mind and heart that He IS our Brother and Friend. He is a Friend that sticks closer than a brother.

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!
