Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone.  It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on.  Whoever believes need never be shaken. Isaiah 28:16 New Living Translation

Imagine having a nice piece of beach front property.  You enjoy the nice sunny days and go out and enjoy the wind with your family and the sand.  But one day a fierce storm arises. The news says its disaster level storm and that you should vacate your home because the home will be wiped out.  But because you know the truth, that your home is built on a foundation that can with stand that storm and much worse you simply take refuge there and let the wind and water batter up against your firm foundation knowing that it will not bend or budge.  That type of confidence is available ONLY in the person of Jesus Christ.  This Old Testament scripture is talking about a building but it ultimately and at its core is talking about Jesus.   The part to take notice of is the part that says, “Whoever believes need never be shaken.”.  If you are a believer that is available to you and your family today and everyday through the GRACE of GOD Who is JESUS!!!

Did you know another picture of Jesus is the ark of which Noah and his family were SAVED in?  Outside of the ark, death, mayhem and destruction along with storms and torrential rain.  They may have rocked a little bit or even rolled but if they fell down due to the rocking and rolling of the ark they NEVER fell OUT of the ark they ALWAYS fell IN THE ARK.  That is a picture of you,  You are IN CHRIST!!!  Did you ever notice how many times in the New Testament the Bible says we are in Christ?  We are forever in Christ!! We are protected.  Noah and his family were protected because they believed and they kept on believing even though the rain did not show up for years.  WHOEVER BELIEVES NEED NEVER BE SHAKEN. You need never be shaken by things that happen, even if they are your own doing.  It does not matter for Christ is Our Savior, Our Redeemer, Our Deliverer, Our Protector, Our Salvation!!!!

Take a look at  Isaiah 28:16 in some other translations.

So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. NIV

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.  NASB

Therefore the Lord GOD said:” Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable. Holman Christian Standard Bible

therefore this is what the LORD God says: “Look! I am laying a foundation stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation: Whoever believes firmly will not act hastily. International Standard Version

Therefore, this is what the sovereign master, the LORD, says: “Look, I am laying a stone in Zion, an approved stone, set in place as a precious cornerstone for the foundation. The one who maintains his faith will not panic  NET Bible

This is what the Almighty LORD says: I am going to lay a rock in Zion, a rock that has been tested, a precious cornerstone, a solid foundation. Whoever believes [in him] will not worry.

Understand and know that Jesus is a firm and unshakeable foundation.  Don’t put your faith in your faith.  Put your faith in Him  and His faith. He is the Author and Finisher of faith.  The faith you have you got from Jesus so be constantly believing in Him and you will not be shaken, moved or have need for worry.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
