TRUTH 4 THOUGHT – WEEKEND EDITION- SHALOM WITH GOD

Having therefore been justified by faith, peace (shalom) we are having with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also our entree we have as a permanent possession into this unmerited favor in which we have been placed permanently, and rejoice upon the basis of hope of the glory of God.  Romans 5:1 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Do you know you have been justified or made right with God the Father by faith?  Do you know what that means?  It means you have been made RIGHT with God and He ONLY sees the right you do because of the Blood of Jesus wiping out your sins.  This allows you to have complete and total confidence with The Father, knowing He does not see your sin, think about your sin or recall your sin to mind.  That takes FAITH!!! Faith on the Father’s part and faith on your part.  Why?  Because you see your sin, you are aware of it and know about it BUT, you must by faith believe that all your sins are forgiven and move forward in the righteousness that Jesus has so expensively paid for with His own Life.

Be mindful of and understand something.  Jesus not only gave His Life FOR YOU, He gave His Life TO YOU!!!   He gave you His Life and He took our punishment for all the sin we and everyone would ever commit.  Now His Life and the very Life of The Father Himself IS PERMANENTLY OURS!!!  The scripture above says since we have been justified by faith, PEACE or SHALOM we are HAVING with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  That means we are having in a constant and continuous supply WITH God completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.  Take some time to think about that this weekend and keep this in mind as well…… WHAT YOU SEE and WHAT YOU HAVE are two different things!!!

And that’s this weekend’s TRUTH 4 THOUGHT!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

  1. This is such a wonderful thing to contemplate – to root into ourselves. I think a lot of people keep their sin before them because if things don’t change for the better in their sight, they might think it’s because they are still reaping what they sowed with their sin. That’s because, as you said, we still have memory of it. So then that cycle begins. You are right that a once-and-for-all mentality and consciousness has to be birthed. And maybe that’s part of being “born again” – starting over.

May your day be filled with grace, Vincent. And your vigilance is appreciated.
