For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 King James Version

JESUS is great!! And all the power that He has and all the power of His Name belongs to YOU!   We get many questions from time to time from our readers and as we can, we post answers from The Word of God to those questions.  Recently one of our readers ask, “Why did Jesus have to be born not of man but a virgin and the Spirit?”  It is such a great question full of so much revelation and inspiration to show the glory, goodness and never changing nature of God Our Father and Jesus.  So let’s begin with The Word of course.  Ultimately though Jesus was a child and became a man, His ultimate purpose was that of a Lamb.  The Old Testament is a type and shadow of what The Father ultimately planned for us in and through Christ. So lets take a look at how lambs were used in the Old Testament. At that time, they had to have a lamb for Passover and for the covering of their sins. But it could not be just any old lamb.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. Exodus 12:5 English Standard Version

So we see here that the lamb had to be a young lamb and without any defect or blemish. It had to be male as well and a certain age. If you study it the lamb had to be checked as well for a number of other things as it could not have any scurvy, or skin disease or twisted testicles.  In other words as close to perfect as possible.  It had to be their very best. They also had to keep the lamb in the house with them for a certain number of days. This caused them to grow close to the lamb and the children to play with the lamb and be fond of it.  But when the time came the parents and eventually the children knew that the lamb would have to be sacrificed and killed which made it all the more difficult to do.  So what does this have to do with Jesus?  EVERYTHING!!!!

I believe that one of the things many Christians and Believers do not understand about God our Father is that HE HAS FEELINGS!!!  He is not run by His feelings yet He still has them.  Imagine The Father spending millions of years together with Jesus His Son as The Word.  Then He choose to have Him sent to Earth knowing full well what would happen to Him.  Do you see the correlation between the earthly lamb and the Heavenly Lamb now?  Now let’s get into the answer to the question.

This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18 New Living Translation

So let’s look at some science that backs up Bible Truth.  Scientist have known and do know that the baby while in the womb receives NONE of the mother’s blood.  This is very important for JESUS. The Father did this in His wisdom a long time before this ever actually happened. The baby receives all of his or her blood from the father through their seed or sperm.  Now as for as the food, the baby receives its food and nutrition from the mother.  Since this is the case and Mary became pregnant literally by the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of God the Father Himself, then The Blood of Jesus is literally The Blood of the Father Himself!!!!  Very powerful, very deep but very true.  This is what makes it so powerful and so precious and so important.  This is what gives it it’s ability to take away sin because it is God’s pure Blood untainted by sin that was in the blood of humans from Adam.  If it had been from Joseph it would have been tainted and had no power to cover and or wash away sins.

Now lets talk about Mary being a virgin. Just like those lambs were untouched and never had sex with another lamb so they are undefiled and unblemished, Mary’s virginity played an important role as she had been kept by the Lord for this sanctified use.  She was a chosen vessel by God the Father Himself and was highly favored.  Now understand something. Sin is not apart of humanity. It never was!  It crept in after satan tricked Adam and Eve. Some people teach that sin is a part of humanity which is incorrect. Sin is a product of the fall of humanity in the Garden of Eden.  So since Jesus was born by the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit produced His Blood, everyone knows your life is in your blood.  Take all your blood out and you are dead. So there was no sin in His Blood, only LIFE the way God originally created it.

For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh. Romans 8:3 NIV

So the key word in that verse above is the “likeness” of sinful flesh.  Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh but there was no sin in His flesh.  Why? Because God did not create the flesh with sin in it so therefore he was born the way God intended all men and women to be.  He looked just like us but was different than us. Had Jesus had sin in His flesh or blood he would have been as powerless as you or I to redeem us from eternal damnation.  But Glory to God that is not the case!!!  You see in the verse above the The Father sent Him to be a “sin offering”.  Now go back to the earthly lamb, it could have no defects.  The same for Jesus but on an absolutely perfect level.

You should know and be very confident about these 3 things about Jesus:

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: I Peter 2:22

And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. I John 3:5 New Living Translation

So Jesus knew no sin, did no sin and there is no sin in Him!!!

This is a powerful truth that every believer needs to have in their “knowledge of Him” arsenal!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom

  1. I apologize it took me so long to get back here, Vincent. I worked yesterday, too, and frankly haven’t gotten on the computer in the evenings the last three nights. Thank you for your answer on this. Quite intriguing, and worth delving into.

    Shalom to you, my friend,
