For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 New Living Translation

God the Father and Jesus love everyone!! So why are we singling out one person?  We will get that to very soon, but my reason is to make a point and to answer some questions that are on the minds and hearts of many believers and unbelievers alike.  I recently had a close friend who called me and asked about what was my attitude and understanding of how the church looks at and deals with people who believe they are homosexual.  Let me be clear. I know, understand and believe what the Bible says about homosexuality being sin.  We will talk about sin shortly.   The first thing that the church and believers must understand is that regardless of your personal opinion and how you feel about it you are still obligated to deal with a person who is a homosexual or a heterosexual in the way and manner that Jesus Himself deals with them and the way He sees them.  Meanwhile, lets get back to Ellen, personally I love Ellen. I love her because I love her as a person so far as I know her from TV and because I am instructed to love her by Jesus in the Word.   I think she is funny and she gets her groove on on the show and I like her as a TV personality. So let’s establish a foundation:

  • Jesus loves Ellen.
  • Jesus  died for Ellen.
  • Jesus is not focused on what Ellen is or is not doing but what He has done for Ellen.
  • Jesus desires  Ellen to receive Him as her Lord and Saviour if she has not already.

Now lets stop right there for a moment. The last bullet point I made that , “Jesus desires Ellen to receive Him as her Lord and Saviour if she has not already.”  Some believers will say, “How can you say that? Look at the lifestyle she is living!! It’s obvious she has not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ!!!”  REALLY!!!!  The truth is you do not know if Ellen has accepted Christ or not. You are not her Judge.

If we are judging by appearance and what people do on whether or not they are a Christian then most Christians are in trouble. Let’s make a list.  Do you or have you ever since you have been a Christian done any of the following:

  • Have you ever lied?
  • Have you ever been fearful or scared?
  • Have you ever been in unbelief even though God’s Word says something is true?
  • Have you ever gossiped?

That’s just a very short list but everything on that list is classified as SIN. So if God and Jesus are out on a SIN hunt then they have not only found unbelievers but also believers who still SIN. Now believers and some preachers FOCUS on sin and as a result the people who listen to them are SIN-CONSCIOUS and they become condemned and do not walk in victory in their life because condemnation KILLS people. So don’t listen to them. Listen to God and The Word who is Jesus. It’s amazing to me how many Christian know John 3:16 but they do not know or don’t believe John 3:17.  Lets see what The Word says about condemnation.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
For God did not send his Son into the world that he would condemn the world, but that he would give life to the world by him. John 3:17

New International Version
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17

I think that is clear enough. So if God is not condemning the world then no believer or preacher has any business condemning them regardless of their sin. Why? Well let’s see why from Poppa our God and Father Himself.  Now in the Old Testament under the law God remembered people’s sins and judged and punished their sin.  But we are New Testament believers and we are not under the law but under God’s Grace Who is JESUS.  God prophesied thru Jeremiah in the Old Testament about a time when He would  not remember sins. Look at these three scriptures.

New International Version
No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Jeremiah 31:34

New International Version
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:12

Berean Study Bible                                                                                                                                                   This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put My Laws in their hearts and inscribe them on their minds.” 17Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17

So God the Father is obviously not focused on sin because He uses HIS WILL to NOT REMEMBER IT.  He said, “He will not remember their sins no more.”  So why do some believers and preachers always focus and talk about sin, bringing it to people’s remembrance when God Himself won’t remember it?

We will pick this up tomorrow. Stick with us all week so that you have a full understanding for how God the Father and Jesus sees this thing.

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!!!
