JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT JUDGING RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT PART 1

Stop judging by appearances, but judge with righteous judgment!” John 7:24 King James Version

Shalom to you!!  Have you ever heard the saying, you can’t judge a book by its cover?  That is a great analogy for this scripture that Jesus spoke to the Pharisees.  Jesus had just healed a man on the Sabbath day.  Now based on the law, no one is supposed to do any work on the Sabbath so they tried to attack Jesus and find fault with Him.  But Jesus called them out about it and said they do work too on the Sabbath if it falls on a day where they are supposed to do something important like circumcision.  So Jesus deemed the man’s healing as important too and told them to stop judging by appearance and judge righteous judgment.  Righteousness is what’s right from God’s viewpoint.  A person being healed is righteous in God’s eyes.  Why?  Because it is what is right!!!  A particular day does not dictate what is right or righteous.  That is the law.  You have to wait for rules or regulations or this qualifying act or time to be healed.  Like when the angel stirred the pool and then people could be healed.  Jesus came and asked the man sitting at the pool a question.

When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, “Do you wish to get well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”  John 5:7-8 NASB

Jesus then told the man, “Rise up and take up your bed and walk,”  Again this healing was done on the Sabbath day and Jesus was attacked again for doing so.  But Jesus knew you don’t take rules and block righteousness.  Also Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27)  It was always time for righteousness because righteousness exist outside of time.  Faith always overrides and supersedes and takes authority over time.  In John 2 Jesus’ mother came to Him and told Him they have no more wine.  He told His Mom, that it was not His time to being doing things but He did it and God the Father allowed it.  He did not allow a rule or a created thing, time, to prevent and delay the work of righteousness.

Faith is alway NOW!! The Bible says, “Now faith is….the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.  Before they drew it out that supply of wine was not seen, but it is evident by The Word of God that it was readily available for their enjoyment and provided by God the Father through Jesus.  Jesus’s mothers faith was the substance of the thing that those people hoped for,… more wine, and the evidence that there was a supply for their lack or want.  Let’s look at what Jesus said again.

Stop judging by appearances, but judge with righteous judgment!” John 7:24 King James Version

So if it appears like you do not have enough money, Jesus says to you, “Stop judging by appearances, but judge righteous judgment.”  What is a righteous judgement when there appears to be lack?  Knowing that Jesus is your Supply and Supplier.  What does Jesus (The Word) say about lack?

Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack,  Psalm 23;1 Youngs Literal Translation

You are to JUDGE every situation (not people) in your life by and according to Jesus (The Word).  You say only what He says. Look at this verse in Proverbs.

A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.  Proverbs 20:8 KJV

Let’s look at another version.

When a king sits in judgment, he weighs all the evidence, distinguishing the bad from the good. Proverbs 20:8 New Living Translation

The Word of God declares us kings (under the King of kings) and priest (under the High Priest Jesus). So as a king you are to sit and judge every situation in your life and family.  You are to weigh the evidence.  Don’t give weight to the wrong evidence. Remember we just said faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.   You are to weigh the evidence of The Word against what you see and give glory (weight) to God by declaring that His Word tips the scales in the favor of righteousness.  YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, so the scales are tipped in your favor.  So if you see lack and the evidence of Psalms 23:1 and John 10:10 says that Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly, which includes your provision, you are to judge that situation as unrighteousness.  Jesus’s Blood cleanses you from all unrighteousness whether it be physical, or mental or social or financial.  THIS IS RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT!!!  Not what you see but what The Word says!!!  Oh boy I just helped myself if no one else got helped.  This is a revelation!!!  You have to meditate and chew on this.  We will pick this up tomorrow.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom
