JUST DA TRUTH-ABOUT THE TRUTH

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4 New International Version

I had a very interesting thought.  For some reason the thought entered my mind of if you removed everything in this world that was not based or founded in The Truth, how much of what we see would be left?  The answer is very little.  Have you ever really thought about that?  Perhaps you have, perhaps you have not but what I do know is, in order to be the person that is not surprised by what is left when lies are removed,  you would have to know what The Truth is.

Sanctify them through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth. John 17:17 King James Version

In this scripture, Jesus is praying to the Father right before He is to be taken and crucified.  He expressly lets us know Himself what is Truth: The Word.  When you look a little deeper you find some interesting things.  The word ‘Truth” there is the greek word aletheia.  It has the property and meaning of final reality as opposed to what is an illusion.  What we must do is walk in The Truth regardless of what we see, hear, feel or experience because this is what is really true, this is the final reality.  Do you really understand the integrity of God’s words?  The word ‘word’ in John 17:17 is the greek word logos.  Logos means a word that embodies an idea, a statement or a speech.  So the word logos actually comes from the root greek word lego.  Ahh, is the picture becoming clearer now?  Everyone knows what LEGO the toy bricks are.  And what are they used for?  To build something.  You get the whole box, you dump all the pieces(words) out and then you look at the picture(thought or idea), put the pieces(words) in proper order and then you have the object you desired.  Words are building blocks, they are spiritual LEGO and when used properly as designed, they create healing, prosperity, shalom peace, and everything you see in this physical universe and what you don’t see in the spiritual universe.  That is DA TRUTH.  Everything you see, that computer, or phone or tablet you are reading on right now was made by WORDS.

Now as with anything you have to go back the original.  What is the original word for ‘word”?  It is the Hebrew word ‘dabar’.  The Hebrew word dabar means ‘word’.  It comprises everything needed to make something, the word(what to say, the deed(what to do), and the concrete object(the house, the car, the health that a person desires).  Dabar is a word that lines up with what God says is real or right, what God says is true, and what God says is good.  But lets take a look at another Hebrew word called lodahbar.  Lodahbar means ‘not-word’.   You can simply put it this way, lodahbar is not the word, or at least not the Word of God and therefore it is a lie.  It is a word, but it exist as a lie, it represents what is not true, what is not real or right, what is not good.  Do not get lost in this, it is very simple to understand.  Lodahbar is something that is really, in reality NOTHING. It exist as a lie.  Remember the core meaning of it is ‘not-word’.

Take a moment to think and for those of you who read the Bible or go to church regularly, you may pick up on this.  Before just a few moments ago, have you ever heard of the word Lodahbar?  I’ll give you the cliff notes.  If you remember in the Bible, David had a close and covenant relationship with Johnathan, King Saul’s son.  Now a covenant last forever and extends even to a persons children and beyond.  Its a promise to take care of and provide kindness, provision and whatever else is necessary to the person you are in covenant with. David had made a covenant like this with Johnathan.  Later on Saul and all of Kings Saul’s sons had been killed including Johnathan and David wanted to honor his covenant with Johnathan so lets pick up the scripture here.

2 Samuel 9: 3-5 New International Version

The king(David) asked, “Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan; he is lame in both feet.”

“Where is he?” the king asked. Ziba answered, “He is at the house of Makir son of Ammiel in Lo Debar.”

So King David had him brought from Lo Debar, from the house of Makir son of Ammiel.

This son of Johnathan’s name was Mephibosheth.  Did you happen to notice the name of the place he was living at before David had him brought to him?  Lo Debar, which is a variation of Lodahbar.  Mephibosheth, was living like a pauper in comparison to how he was supposed to be living because he had a covenant of provision and protection directly from the king but he did not know it and since he did not “KNOW IT” HE LIVED FOR A LONG TIME IN A LIE!  Most believers know David.  David was a man of The Word, God’s Word.  So David lived in Dabar(word) while Mephibosheth lived in Lo Debar(not-word).  David is a picture of Christ.  David (Christ) sent for Mephibosheth(me and you), he obeyed and came to David (Christ) and when you read the whole chapter from that day forward Mephibosheth ate at the King’s table and all of his father’s property land and harvest was returned to Mephibosheth.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4 New International Version

God has great joy when we walk in The Truth!! He has already provided for us but like Mephibosheth, you may not know it and are content or just accepted living in pain, with sickness, or with lack instead of eating at the King’s table.  Remember Truth is final reality so regardless of what your situation looks like make sure you walk, talk and think in The Truth which is JESUS!!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
