Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  Psalms 103:2 KJV

As human beings, we have a tendency to love benefits.  When we take a job in the world many times after we find out the pay, the next thing we want to know about are the benefits.  Does the company have good health insurance?  Do I get a company car?  Do they reimburse my gym membership?  Does the company encourage a good work/life balance?  All these things and more we want to know about.  These are good things and beneficial to us in most cases.  But if man’s benefits can be good then what do you think of our Father benefits package secured and paid for by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? I know in some cases when things have happened on a job and I have reached out to a manager and they will say, “Now you know, you can get up to 6 weeks of Family Care to cover you while you are out for such and such right?”  In some cases I did not know but in many cases ‘I forgot’ that this was a benefit that was available to me.  I don’t have to pay for it. I don’t have to work extra hours to take advantage of it, it is simply a part of my benefits package.

In the above scripture David by way of the Holy Ghost is reminding himself (and us) and telling his own soul to bless the Lord. How? By not forgetting all His benefits.  Oh this scripture is striking my heart and mind afresh as I have read it many times. May the same anointing and freshness of revelation come upon you in Jesus Name.  When we remember all the benefits we have from and in and thru the Lord Jesus Christ this blesses the Lord.  It brings praise and honor and glory to His Name. Why?  Because if some lie of sickness tries to attack your body and you remember and know that “by His stripe, you were healed”, and you say that and stand on that God is glorified and healing is made manifest.  The truth of God’s Word is made manifest in your life and Jesus is glorified because He shed His Blood for you and me and was beaten with many stripes for the purpose of obtaining our forever perfect and divine health. And that is just one of the many benefits.  Let’s look at a few others since there are too many to name.

3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Psalms 103:3-6 KJV

Now let’s just sum it up with two verses of scripture to show you the all inclusiveness of your benefits package.  As a believer you are a member of The Body of Christ which is The Church.  Pay close attention to this next verse.

God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church.  Ephesians 1:22 New Living Translation

God the Father made Jesus Christ head over ALL THINGS – placed everything under Christ authority for whose benefit?  YOURS!!!!!

In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ  YOU ARE GETTING THIS!!!! All things are under your authority because you are in Christ and Christ is in you!!!  This authority over all things (not people) is a part of your benefits package.  You need to exercise this authority. That means use it on situations and circumstances in your life KNOWING you HAVE it. God the Father thru Jesus has not only given us authority over all things but He has with Christ given us all things.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 New International Version

We will pick this up tomorrow. Stay with us all week to learn more about all His benefits.

All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!!!
