Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood he went into the Most Holy Place once for all and secured our eternal redemption.   Hebrews 9:12 International Standard Version

The Bible instructs us in the book of Psalms 107:12 to “Let the REDEEMED of the Lord say so!”  Say what?  That I AM REDEEMED.  When a believer does this with revelation it enforces Truth(Who is Jesus) and that redemption in their lives.  In order to have revelation you must understand what redemption is and what has been done as a result of Christ REDEEMING you.  The word redemption means a release effected or brought into being by a payment or ransom.  Redemption comes from the Greek word apolutrosis.  Look at the meaning of apolutrosis as defined in the Strongs concordance.

apolýtrōsis(from 575 /apó, “from” and 3084 /lytróō, “redeem”) – properly, redemption – literally, “buying back from, re-purchasing (winning back) what was previously forfeited (lost).”

629 /apolýtrōsis (“redemption, re-purchase”) emphasizes the distance (“safety-margin”) that results between the rescued person, and what previously enslaved them. For the believer, the prefix (575 /apó) looks back to God’s effective work of grace, purchasing them from the debt of sin and bringing them to their new status (being in Christ).

So when you understand the word redemption fully you will know that Jesus by His Blood paid the price for all your sins and the consequences that would have came to you as a result of any sin or transgressions and bought back your RIGHT to what The Father originally designed and planned and had for you and all mankind before Adam sinned.  There was no sickness or disease or lack or depression or sorrow or pain before Adam sinned so know, believe and understand that YOU HAVE BEEN REDEEMED from all of those things by His Blood!!! Those things  were all part of the curse.

But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”  Galatians 3:13 New Living Translation

So Christ rescued us or redeemed us from the curse which includes poverty, sickness and death in all of its ways shapes and forms. Look at the definition of redemption again and see the part where it says He has placed a great distance or safety margin between the rescued or redeemed person from what previously enslaved them.  And this does not happen when we get to heaven this is a DONE DEAL.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7 New American Standard Bible

So WE HAVE REDEMPTION through His Blood which was the payment necessary to free us from those things.  Pay close attention to the word “have” in the scripture above.  That word have is the Greek word echo.  It means “I have, I hold, I possess”.  Your REDEMPTION is a right now and present possession. Not only is that true but it is a FOREVER possession.  Look back at our opening scripture.

Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood he went into the Most Holy Place once for all and secured our eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:12 International Standard Version

Christ Jesus our Lord obtained or secured for us ETERNAL REDEMPTION.  What does that mean?  It means:

  • You are REDEEMED from sickness ALL THE TIME!
  • You are REDEEMED from lack, debt and poverty ALL THE TIME!
  • You are REDEEMED from destruction ALL THE TIME!
  • You are REDEEMED from depression ALL THE TIME!
  • You are REDEEMED from pain ALL THE TIME!

He has obtained FOR US….. ETERNAL REDEMPTION!!!

Spend some time with this Truth, which is spending sometime with The Redeemer, Jesus!  This Truth will SANCTIFY you (sanctify simply means to separate) you from any of these things that are trying to operate illegally in your life.  Jesus legally paid the price for none of these things to touch you EVER AGAIN.  You ENFORCE those rights by SAYING SO!!!

Let the REDEEMED of the Lord SAY SO, whom He hath redeemed us from the hand of the enemy!!! Psalms 107:2 KJV

All the  “blessed” to you! Shalom!!!

  1. LOL…how about icky jobs…am I redeemed from icky jobs for all time, too? I hope soon! 😀
Great post…thank you so much for encouraging us to take a moment for Redeemed Reminders.

    Enjoy a wonderful day, Vincent.

  2. The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
Genesis 48:16 Haha you are so funny Marianne. So did you know this is the first time the word redeemed is mentioned in the Bible. Jacob said The Angel notice the capital A, this is the preincarnate Jesus before He became a man. One of the things Jacob was redeemed from was a lousy boss who cheated him and changed his wages two times. So….. if you can be redeemed from a lousy boss you can be redeemed from an icky job I would say. Shalom my friend.
