With perfect peace You will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust You.  Isaiah 26:3  God’s Word Translation

Have you ever noticed that Jesus, no matter what situation He was in, He always appeared in The Word to be very calm?  No matter if people verbally persecuted Him or if they were trying to knock Him off of a cliff, He was always calm and the words He used towards those very people were still calm, collected and confident.  How was He doing this and how is He still doing this today?  Today, Jesus is seated at the right hand of The Father, His Father and Our Father.  No one can touch Him, no one can harm Him especially while He is right there in His Father’s presence.  It is very easy to say, well they could not touch Jesus anyway even if He was not with His Father.  That may be true but I do not believe from Jesus’s standpoint it would be completely accurate.  If you pay attention to Jesus when He talks and speaks in The Word, He always operated and spoke with a sense of complete and loving and childlike dependency on His Father.  As a matter of truth He even told His disciples that unless they become like little children they would not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  So when Jesus was here on Earth, He operated with the same level of closeness and consciousness  of His Father’s presence and protection as He does now while He’s right there physically with The Father.  He expects us to do the same thing even though we are here on Earth.

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6 New Living Translation

To be able to receive the benefits and blessings of the scripture above requires faith, as do all the things of God.  It requires us to look at things unseen, not things seen.  That scripture says that right now WE ARE presently seated with Jesus IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS or places.  So just as Jesus is protected by Poppa God, Our Father so are we……ALL THE TIME!!!  Jesus knew this and this is why He was always calm and even one time asleep when it seemed like they were about to drown.  The disciples were panicked and afraid but Jesus was asleep in the same boat they were in.  So what was the issue here in that situation?  Why were they panicked and afraid and Jesus was sound asleep?  Because Jesus’s mind(eyes) and heart were on His Father.  The disciples eyes were on the storm.  All they had to do was look at Jesus and stay calm right in the midst of the storm and say, “Hey Jesus is asleep, He’s obviously not worried and He’s in the boat with us so maybe we should go to sleep too.”  I’m just speculating there in that statement but it does give us an example.  When something stormy pops up in your life don’t look at it look at Jesus.  Check out Jesus and see if he is freaking out about it.  If He is going crazy then you can go crazy.  But you already know Jesus is not going crazy, He’s just as calm as ever KNOWING He is safe and KNOWING that you are safe as you trust in Him.  The best thing to do is to keep your eyes on Jesus ALL THE TIME.  Then if something comes up you never have to even make an adjustment because you were trusting in His Love, care and faithfulness and grace the whole time.  You won’t have to go into machine gun prayers and a forty day fast about the situation. (There is nothing wrong with fasting for the right purpose and reason.  Fasting changes you not God.)  Your constant faith and trust will keep you in perfect peace.  The word perfect peace in Isaiah 26:3 is the Hebrew word SHALOM.  If you are unfamiliar with shalom, check out our post from last week.  Keeping your mind stayed on Jesus Who provides you with shalom and not just any shalom.  The very same shalom Jesus had, has and operated in when He was here on the Earth.

“What I am leaving with you is shalom — I am giving you My shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.” John 14:27 Complete Jewish Bible

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
