JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE “BOOTH!”

… because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are sanctified.  Hebrews 10:14 Berean Study Bible

Have you ever gone to a car dealer to purchase a car?  The salesmen comes out and then you look at the car and decide which one, and then he takes you to the booth.  It could be a cubicle, or another area but for all practical purpose its a waiting area until all the paperwork and mainly the financial portion of the transaction is all clear.  Most people are buying cars or trucks on credit so they have to get a credit check to see if they qualify

If they qualify and everything checks out, they can go home with the vehicle and can keep the car as long as they make all their payments.  Miss a few payments and a certain truck pulls up to one’s residence to reclaim what was theirs the whole time. Why was it really their’s the whole time.  Because the car was not fully paid for.  Some people are fine as they wait in the booth but others are sweating hoping their credit is good enough and that this blemish or that blemish does not shut down the whole deal.  I remember one time getting a vehicle and I had it for a week and they called me back and said you need to put down more money. Thank God that Salvation and Righteousness are not like that.  JESUS PAID IT ALL and He will never repossesses YOUR salvation because He gave it to you not based on what you did or could pay, but based on what He did!!!

Why am I bringing this up?  Because I continue to hear good and well meaning preachers in most cases,  knowingly or unknowingly dupe believers and unbelievers alike into thinking and believing that they have to qualify for the blessings and benefits of the Kingdom when Jesus already paid in full for you to HAVE EVERYTHING.

What I am leaving with you is shalom — I am giving you my shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.  John 14;27 Complete Jewish Bible.

Shalom means completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord. THAT’S EVERYTHING.  Jesus just said He is leaving with you shalom. He then made it even clearer and said, “I am giving you My Shalom.”  Now look at what He says next.  “I don’t give the way the world gives.”  And finally He says as a result of that “Don’t let yourself be upset or frightened.”    When a man or woman of God tell you that you have to qualify for the blessings of God they are “putting you in the booth.”  They are telling you to look at yourself and see if you have any sin in your life because if you do your spiritual credit is not good enough to receive what Jesus bought and paid and GAVE YOU ALREADY.  I don’t care who the preacher is,  how anointed he  or she is suppose to be and how long they have been in ministry THIS IS WRONG and completely against scripture.  Check out Romans 8:32.

New Living Translation
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

English Standard Version
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Berean Study Bible
He who did not spare His own Son but gave up Him for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?

Berean Literal Bible
For He who spared not the own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, with Him, grant us all things?

New American Standard Bible
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

King James Bible
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

I see the word freely. I see the word graciously.  I see the word grant. You don’t pay back a grant you pay back a loan.  Poppa did not give us Jesus on a loan if we do good.  Jesus does not bless us based on our works or actions.  He blesses us based on His finished perfect work.

… because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are sanctified. Hebrews 10:14 Berean Study Bible

You have a decision to make.  Are you going to let some preacher or person who is ignorant of how righteousness works and GRACE (God’s undeserved unmerited favor which reigns thru righteousness) put you back in the booth to qualify? Or are you going to take God’s Word that its paid for and go home with your salvation and blessings fully paid for?

We will pick this up tomorrow.  All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT STAND STILL vs. SIT STILL

Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.  Ruth 3:18 King James Version

If you are familiar with the story of Ruth and Boaz you may or may not know that Boaz is a picture of Christ Jesus our Redeemer. Boaz is a kinsman redeemer for the family of Ruth and Naomi.  After meeting Boaz and gleaning in his field and already gaining favor with him, Ruth wonders and seems to be a bit anxious about what will happen next.  But notice the wisdom of Naomi as she tells Ruth to ‘sit still’ my daughter until you know how the matter will fall.   The word matter there is the Hebrew word dabar.  The word dabar means word.  So you can say, “Sit still, until you know how the WORD will fall or lie: for the man (Boaz/Jesus) will not rest until He has finished the thing this day.  Jesus did not stop until He said, “It is finished!” on the Cross.  The interesting thing is that Naomi told Ruth to ‘sit still’ even though her and Ruth needed  this deliverance.  Under the law a similar statement was said when the children of Israel were anxious about a much needed deliverance.

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again.  Exodus 14:13 New Living Translation

Notice in this case with Moses, Moses told the people ‘stand still’.  Would you agree that sitting is a more comfortable position than even standing? When you are seated you can rest and relax your body. You can take a complete rest. And if you are seated with Jesus you can rest even more.  Let’s look at Jesus being told to sit down by The Father.

David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.”‘  Mark 12:36 NIV

Here David foresaw God the Father telling Jesus to sit down until I put your enemies under your feet.

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand  Mark 16:19 New Living Translation

So Jesus is seated at the right hand of The Father.  So where are you?

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.  Ephesians 2:6 New Living Translation

So we were raised up with Christ when He was raised and we have been seated with Him in the Heavenly realms because we are united with Him.  We are seated in the place of honor ‘with Christ’.  One of the big things to consider is that Moses told the children of Israel to “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which He will show you today.”  They only saw the salvation.  We HAVE SALVATION, because we HAVE Jesus, Yeshua which means God saves. We also have eternal salvation that means we are forever preserved, delivered, prospered, healthy and saved.  This has all been done for us by Jesus.  He did not rest until EVERYTHING was finished.  He finished the matter.  He fulfilled the law and now we are no longer under the law but under GRACE Who is Jesus!!!!!  Whatever you are facing sit still for Jesus has already finished the matter.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – TRUSTING IN A GOD THAT TRUST YOU!!!

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.  Genesis 18:19 King James Version

Does the title of this post ‘concern’ you?  If so ask yourself why?  The reason is because for years we have been taught to trust God but you have probably rarely if ever heard someone say that God trust you.  But He does.  Why?  Because He knows you.  He knows all the mistakes you are going to make along the way and He still chose you.  He knows how you are going to fall sometimes and fail and He still chose you.  Why?  Because He knows something.  Have you ever seen the commercial about Prego spaghetti sauce?  One of the most popular ones has someone asking whether it has fresh tomatoes and the person answers, “It’s in there!!”   Then the person ask whether the sauce contains authentic garlic and they answer “It’s in there!”.  You’re probably like what does this have to do with God.  When it comes to you God knows Prego too.  He knows that “HE’S IN THERE!!!”.  Inside of you, God the Father is in there in the person of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  HE IS IN THERE.  If you are born again HE’S IN THERE!!  And you can’t get Him out.

God the Father made man in His image.  Get a quarter and look at it.  You see that president on the face of the coin.  That image was made as a part of the coin and was stamped into it.  You can’t get it out and you can’t get it off.  You can throw it in the street, watch cars and trucks run over it for hours and go pick it up and it may be scratched up but the image is still there.  And no matter what you do to it it is still a quarter or a penny or a nickel.  It being scratched up does not change what it is.  Poppa knows that you are His and that He is yours and He trust what He put in you and on you.  The reason people don’t understand this is because of religion.  They confuse God and the devil.  The devil makes people do things.  God ask people to do things.  God did not come to Jesus and say, “Look you are going to go down and die for all people, I’m the boss around here and you do what I say!!!”  No, no, no The Father is not like that. People are and the devil is.  Jesus agreed to that assignment.  Read the Bible, The Father asked and Jesus said if you prepare me a body I will go and fulfill this mission.  The Word and the Father were and always are in perfect agreement.  Jesus always refers to The Father as sending Him on mission.  Jesus is referred as The Lamb that was slain.  A lamb goes willingly to the slaughter no resistance.  The point is that Jesus is in you and YOU, THE SPIRIT YOU ONLY DESIRES TO DO THE WILL OF YOUR FATHER.  How do I know that? Because you are the righteousness of God in Christ and look what The Word of God says about the righteous.

The desire of the righteous is only good  Proverbs 11:23 King James Version

Your desire, the real you, is ONLY GOOD!!! And not only is your desire good but look what else Proverbs says about the desire of the righteous.

……but the desire of the righteous shall be granted. Proverbs 10:24 King James Version

This is in line with Jesus word in Mark 11:24.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 King James Version

If you know the story of Abraham you know that Abraham lied, was in fear about his wife and then tried to fulfill God’s place through the flesh.  Kinda sounds like us.  But ultimately Abraham fulfilled the plan of God and  he is the father of our faith even with all his mistakes and missteps.  Let that give you hope.  God says he KNOWS Abraham and if God knows Abraham He also knows you.  He trust what He’s put in you to get the job done.  So yes you should trust God but you should also know that God trust you.  Jesus could have anytime said, “No, I don’t want to go through with this and be crucified.”  But He said nevertheless not My will but Thy will be done.  This is the same thing you did when you gave your life to Christ.  You set in motion things that have changed your life forever and God loves you just as much as He loves Jesus so He would trust you no less than Jesus because He is depending on the Jesus in you (not the you in you) to get the job done.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE BLESSING OF JUDAH PART 2

Judah, my son, is a young lion
that has finished eating its prey.
Like a lion he crouches and lies down;
like a lioness—who dares to rouse him?
10The scepter will not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants,
until the coming of the one to whom it belongs,
the one whom all nations will honor.
11He ties his foal to a grapevine,
the colt of his donkey to a choice vine.
He washes his clothes in wine,
his robes in the blood of grapes.
12His eyes are darker than wine,
and his teeth are whiter than milk.

Genesis 49:9-12 New Living Translation

Recently we did a post on the Blessing of Judah from Deuteronomy 33:7.  If you missed it I strongly encourage you to go back and read it.  It definitely was a blessing and a revelation from the Lord and blessed many people.  You have to remember that blessings are timeless and that every blessing is ours through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  As I was studying I discovered another blessing that was given to Jacob’s son Judah before he died.  Jesus is of the tribe of Judah and as a result so are we.  If you pay close attention you can see Jesus in this particular blessing.  Let’s go through this blessing and discover all the spiritual nuggets that are in this great scripture.

The first verse says Judah my son. Jacob, Judah’s father is speaking here and issuing this blessing.  This is an allusion of God the Father and Jesus His Son.   The remaining part of the verse says Judah is a young lion that has finished eating its prey.  This refers to the finished work of Christ.  He came to Earth defeated the devil and finished His work.  After Christ finished His work He ascended then sat down at the right hand of the Father.  The next verse says, “Like a lion he crouches and lies down.  But take a look at this translation.

Judah, you are a lion cub. You have come back from the kill, my son. He lies down and rests like a lion…. Genesis 49:9 God’s Word Translation

He lies down and REST like a lion after the kill or after the defeat of his enemy.  The preceding verse states, “Like a lioness..who dares to rouse him?”  The picture there is a picture of a lioness when she is with her cubs and an intruder dares to come near.  A lioness is at their most aggressive when they are with their young.  Jesus is our protector and our defense and defender.   Verse 10 stills any doubt at all as to Who this scripture refers as it states, “The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants, until the coming of the One to whom it belongs, the One whom all nations will honor.”  This ‘One’ is none other than our Lord, the Lion of Judah Himself, JESUS!!!!   The Word declares that of His government there shall be no end.

Verse 11 speaks of the great prosperity of the tribe of Judah through the allegory of wine and vines.  A normal grape vine cannot be uses to securely tie an animal to.  Also in a normal case, a person would not tie an animal to a vine with fruit for concern that the animal would eat up all the grapes.    But in this case, there is no concern of running out or lack so he ties his foal to a grapevine and the colt of his donkey to a choice vine. If you study this out it speaks of the vine being so healthy , prosperous and thick that it produces so much wine he is able to wash his clothes and his robes in the blood of the grapes.  The wine is so abundant and free flowing it is able to be used for task that water is normally used for.  Also what do you think of when you think of robes?  Our robes of righteousness washed in the Blood.  The person in the blessing washes his robes in the blood of grapes.  The entire blessing so alludes to Christ and His grace and abundance.  The land of Judea was known for being very fertile and producing the best wine and milk.  This too alludes to our Lord Jesus and is mentioned in the book of Isaiah 55 as an invitation to the Lord’s salvation.

1“Is anyone thirsty?
Come and drink—
even if you have no money!
Come, take your choice of wine or milk—
it’s all free!
2Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength?
Why pay for food that does you no good?
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.
You will enjoy the finest food.  Isaiah 55:1-2  New Living Translation

That is indeed abundance!!!!  The latter part of the this particular blessing of Judah speaks of abundance, luxury and only the very finest and best.  This is our Lord Jesus and this is the tribe that we are of and it is He Whose we are!!!  This is what He has provided for us.  ONLY THE BEST!!! Be sure not to settle for less.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE BLESSING OF JUDAH PART 1

And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.  Deuteronomy 33:7 King James Version

Before Moses climbed Mount Nebo to die, he gathered all the tribes of the children of Israel together and blessed them.  Now it may seem that this has nothing to do with you as a New Testament believer but it does for a very specific reason.

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Galatians 3:13 King James Version

Did you notice that Christ ONLY redeemed us from the curse of the law?  He never redeemed us from the blessings of the law.  Those blessings are still yours and mine today.  So all the blessings for all the tribes are listed in Deuteronomy 33.  Verse 7 list the blessing given to the tribe of Judah.  Why is this one so important?  Because Jesus is of the tribe of Judah so that would make you of the tribe of Judah.  Let’s examine the blessing Moses spoke or gave to the tribe of Judah.

And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies. Deuteronomy 33:7 King James Version

So the first part declares and Moses says,  “Hear, Lord the voice of Judah and bring him unto his people.   This piece of the scripture is specifically talking about Jesus Christ and you because you are in Christ.  Jesus knew about this blessing and believed it and walked in it.

Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42″I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.  John 11:41-42 New American Standard Version

How did Jesus know that The Father heard him?  He knew by the same way you know, The Word of God.  Jesus read that in the scrolls and believed and received it and He knew it was talking about Him.  God does not change. That blessing is still alive and well and active in the life of Jesus and in your life if you believe and receive it.  The prayer of John 17 shows Jesus’ confidence in The Father when He speaks to Him.  He asked for very specific things and He asked for things for Himself.  Yes those things  were for others but these were “His desires” that He(Jesus ) had personally.  Why? Because God the Father hears the Voice of Judah, Jesus and He has brought Him Jesus unto His people (you and me and all believers).  This is very powerful.  This is a powerful truth.  Poppa hears Jesus and Poppa hears you.

The next portion of the verse is talking about Jesus and us as well.  It says, “Let his hands be sufficient for him’.  Let His hands (Jesus’s hand’s) be sufficient for him (you and me).  Jesus is the Spirit of Grace.  God the Father told Paul something very interesting.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

The Father told Paul in the midst of a trial “My Grace is sufficient for you”.   Then Paul goes on to talk about Christ’s power which proves that this Grace is Christ and/or the power of Christ.  But notice how Moses’s blessing says, “Let his hand be sufficient” then God the Father says, “My Grace is sufficient”.   So now we see another example of Moses’ blessing in the Old Testament still working as powerfully as ever in the New Testament for a New Testament believer.

The last part of the blessing of the tribe of Judah from Moses says, “and be thou an help to him from his enemies.”  Every enemy of Jesus and of you the Lord will be an help to you from them.  As a matter of truth, this is already done in the finished work of Christ.  Sin was an enemy.  Poppa through Jesus death, burial and resurrection has completely and totally delivered us from sin because ALL of our sins are forgiven, past, present and future.  You sins were forgiven and paid for at the Cross and at that time ALL YOUR SINS WERE FUTURE SINS.   (I just threw that any for any naysayers about future sins.)  Sickness was an enemy but now because of the stripe of Jesus YOU ARE HEALED!!!  Not going to be healed, you are healed forever, for always, for and because of LOVE.  God is Love!  Poverty and death are both enemies.  Jesus became poor so that you through His poverty might be made rich and Jesus abolished death and made it of none effect.  This was all done before time ever began.

the One who saved us and divinely summoned us in the sphere of a holy summons, not according to our works but according to His own private purpose and grace which [grace] was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but has now been made known through the appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, since He not only made of none effect the death, but also brought to light life and incorruption through the good news….  2 Timothy 1: 9-10 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Jesus made death of none effect.  He took from him(satan) the one who HAD the power of death, he took it from him.  So we see the last part of the blessing of Moses to the tribe of Judah fulfilled in and by Chirst.  God never changes and He is always faithful to His Word.  You can trust Him, he is not like man who WILL let you down.  Man cannot help it, they eventually will let you down.  But not Big Poppa.  He never can, He never has and He never will.  Grace was His plan for you all along and it still is today.  THE BLESSING IS YOURS!!!!  He’s blessed you with EVERY blessing.  Believe it and receive it!! TAKE IT!!!

We will wrap this up tomorrow. Be sure to stay tuned!

All the “BLESSED” to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE LORD WORKING WONDERS

And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you. Joshua 3:5 King James Version

Imagine after years of waiting to finally get to a place you have been trying to get to when suddenly an insurmountable obstacle appears to block your path,…. yet again.  This is how the children of Israel probably felt as the only thing that now blocked them from going into the Promised Land was a raging Jordan river.  The river itself was formidable but it was now harvest time and at harvest time the river swelled to even higher levels than normal, making it that much more challenging.  But they had a leader who listened to and heard from God and they received a very specific instruction which you see in the scripture above.  Now understand that this is in the Old Testament so they had to perform ritualistic ceremonies such as bathing themselves and making sure they were free from any known sins as well as abstaining from having sexual relations with their spouses.  Why? Because God was coming in the midst of them and His presence could cause death in the midst of a careless attitude of sin and other impurity.

Thankfully you and I do not have to be concerned about such symbolic things or be fearful of the presence of our Father since we are born again.  This is not to persuade one towards a careless attitude towards our Father and our God but you should know that as a New Testament believer you do not need to sanctify your self because Jesus’s Blood and His finished work on the cross has taken care of that for you.  Don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it.

It is because of God that you are in union with the Messiah Jesus, who for us has become wisdom from God, as well as our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.  I Corinthians 1:30 International Standard Version

This scripture proves that you are sanctified not in and of yourself but Christ has become our wisdom, our righteousness, our sanctification and our redemption.  And since you are righteous and sanctified you are not only welcomed in God’s presence  ALL THE TIME but you are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus.  The Father looks over to the right and sees you in Jesus.  So unlike the children of Israel you don’t have to wait until tomorrow.  You can believe and receive WONDERS and miracles right now!!!  Did you know that everytime you see “My God” in the Bible it means miracle working God?  Our Father is a miracle working God.  If He will perform miracles for anyone it would be US.

We have a better covenant than the children of Israel.  When the raging, swelling Jordan stood and blocked the way to the Promised Land, God had the priest step first into the Jordan with the Ark of Covenant on their shoulders which represented God’s presence and the river backed up like a dam into a wall on both sides and the bottom of the river bed became dry ground.  The children of Israel then walked across what looked like a hindering river and on dry ground until every last one of them was safely on the other side. In the New Testament Jesus told HIs disciples to go the other side and after they got into the boat to do so a raging storm came up and appeared as if it would not only keep them from the other side but also destroy them in the process.  But they had something better than the Ark of the Covenant which was simply a shadow of things to come.  They had Jesus Himself with them and He arose from sleep rebuked the storm and they all went safely to the other side.

Jesus is with us!! We are sanctified because and through Him!!  He will work wonders amongst and in us and through us.  He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert for us.  Have a mind and heart of constant expectancy towards and in Him for deliverance from each and every situation that is contrary to The Father’s purpose and plan for your life. This is Bible HOPE which is a good opinion of God and a constant expectation of only good.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH – ABOUT THE BLOOD

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:12 King James Version

There are so many things that The Blood has afforded us, the list goes on and on and somethings we will not find out until we are with Jesus Himself.  But there are a few things I want to point out to us today. The first one is eternal redemption. The word redemption comes from the greek word apolutrósis. This word means a release effected by payment of ransom. When you redeem a coupon at the store someone has already paid the fifty-five cents or so you may be saving.  Redemption also means to buy back. God through Jesus’s blood bought us back to Himself.  A price had to be paid and Jesus paid that price.

In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22 New Living Translation

Jesus’s priceless blood provided the means for our sins to be forgiven. Without that blood, there is NO forgiveness of sins. It’s very plain and simple without that blood we would still be in our sins.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 1:7 King James Version

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Colossians 1:14 King James Version

This redemption and this forgiveness through Jesus’s blood, this was given to us not because of anything we did but simply because of His Grace.  God’s Grace is comprised of His Love, His Kindness and Favor.

Never underestimate the power of The Blood.  It is precious to God.  Make sure it is precious to you.

The Blood

Purest of pure

And cleanest of clean

Working mighty works

Since it came on the scene

The Mighty Blood of Jesus

Cleanses and corrects

Fulfilling it’s duty

To save and protect

Covering covenant children

Setting sinners so free

His Blood shed so freely

For you and for me

Only by God’s Love

Could He pay such a price

Executed alongside sinners

And made the risen Christ

O’ who now among us

Would give up his life

Paying for others sins

And carrying their strife

Who would be able,

To resist the allure

Of the things he resisted

And still remain pure.

Hallelujah!!! By the Blood

We’ve all been set free

And are able to be called

As righteous as He!

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!!

TRUTH 4 THOUGHT – WEEKEND EDITION – YOUR JOB IN WAR

“When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!”  Deuteronomy 20:1 New Living Translation

Imagine going to war and your army is about 1000 men.  You come around the mountain and the enemy you are about to face has an army of 20,000 men.  That sounds like a ‘reason’ to be afraid.  But The Word of God says DON’T.  Now you may not be going up against an army of 20,000 men but what about the $200,000 dollars of house debt you may have?  Or how about the $12,000 in credit card debt you may have accumulated while you were out of work.  It may be a physical sickness that seems like a giant and that is bigger than you but The Father says,  DON’T BE AFRAID of them or it.  Why?  Because He’s with you!!!   The Lord also says that the priest shall go before the people and speak or declare.

And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; 4For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.  Deuteronomy 20:3-4 King James Version

This verse of scripture is well worth paying attention to.  I realize it is Old Testament but God never changes. Let’s examine it.  First Poppa said, ‘Don’t be afraid of them because He is with you.”     Then The Word says the priest shall go before the people and say, Let not your hearts, faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be terrified because of them because the Lord your God goes WITH YOU, to FIGHT FOR YOU, against your enemies to SAVE YOU.

Today you don’t need a priest to declare this.  YOU are a KING and a PRIEST.  So you do your own declaring. You can declare that the Lord is on your side, you will not fear what man can do to you or that no weapon formed against you will prosper.  But ultimately it is God through Jesus Who has already ready given you the victory.  He is with you and has already fought for you against all your enemies and defeated them and  SAVED you!!!!  That word save there is the Hebrew word yasha and it means to be avenged, defended, delivered, helped, preserved, rescued, be safe.  It’s the same word as Yeshua which is Jesus’s Name which means salvation. For us as New Testament believers THIS IS ALREADY DONE AND WE ARE ALREADY SAVED!!!

…by grace have you been saved completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of salvation which persists through present time. Ephesians 2:4-5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Poppa is with you in and through Jesus or Yeshua.  So in a financial or physical war or spiritual war your job is to not be afraid but to stand in faith knowing that God the Father is with you, and has already fought for you against your enemies and SAVED you in the Person of Jesus Christ!!!!   Now that is food for thought and truth for thought!!  Be blessed and have a great weekend!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

JUST DA TRUTH-ABOUT SALVATION

For by the grace have you been saved in time past completely, through faith, with the result that your salvation persists through present time; and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, not from a source of works, in order that no one might boast.  Ephesians 2:8 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Salvation is such a wonderful thing and Person.  Yes Person! Did you know and realize that the name Jesus, or Joshua or Iesous(the Hebrew transliteration)  means Yahweh saves!  Look at what was said about Jesus when he was first born.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 King James Version

In other words, He will do what His Name means or stands for.

It is so great to see Jesus all throughout the entire Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament.  Many believers don’t even realize how many times the scriptures are talking about JESUS! But He is everywhere! Lets look at just a few.

I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel .  Isaiah 46:13 New International Version

Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 2 Timothy 2:10 New International Version

Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. I Peter 1:11 New International Version

All these scriptures are talking about Jesus!  Everywhere you see righteousness, salvation, or the grace that was to come the scripture is talking about JESUS!!  Zion is us, the church. All He did and all God has done through Him is salvation.  The word salvation comes from the greek word,  soteria.  It means welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety.  It comes from the greek word sozo which means I save, I heal, I preserve, I rescue.  It  means properly, to deliver out of danger and into safety; used principally of God rescuing believers from the penalty and power of sin – and into His provisions (safety). Isn’t that great?

Now with that knowledge lets go back to our opening scripture and dig out all the spiritual secrets and nutrients we can get out of it.

For by the grace have you been saved in time past completely, through faith, with the result that your salvation persists through present time; and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, not from a source of works, in order that no one might boast. Ephesians 2:8 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So realize and understand that by grace you have been saved in time past completely.  Lets stop right there and look at what is said in the first verse. When were you saved in time past? (We will get to completely in a moment). You were saved in times past before the foundation of the world.  You were saved completely, spirit, soul and body before the foundation of the world.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 1:4 King James Bible

God didn’t wait until your mother and father had you on Earth, He choose you before He even created the world.  You are special! Nothing can dominate you or take you out of the Fathers hand. Why? Because you existed and were saved before sin, before sickness, before disease, before debt and before any of these things existed.  Nothing can separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.  So now what has happened as a result of you being saved in time past time completely.  The Word of God says that this has the present result that your salvation(your welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety) persist through present time.  Present time here means today, tomorrow and throughout all eternity.  Do you realize you have been saved a loooooonnnnngggg time?  And your salvation persist.  The word persist there means to continue firmly and obstinately in spite of difficulty or opposition. Your welfare persist in spite of opposition. Your prosperity persist in spite of opposition. Your deliverance persist in spite of opposition. Your salvation persist throughout eternity.  Why?  Because God said so.  Because the Word of God says so.   This truth is so true that God had the Holy Spirit have Paul write it twice in the same chapter only 3 verses from each other.  When God says something twice ‘to you’, you may want to pay attention.

By grace have you been saved completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of salvation which persists through present time. Ephesians 2:5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So if we define the words ‘saved’ and ‘salvation’ the scripture would read like this and we will make it personal this time.

By grace I have been saved, healed, preserved and rescued completely in past time, with the present result that I am in a state of salvation, welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation and safety which persists through present time. Ephesians 2:5 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Know and understand and let no one talk you out of your present state. You are in a ‘state of salvation’ which persist through present time.  When you believe in that salvation which is Jesus, the benefits and ingredients of that salvation begin to manifest.  And we already learned about the fullness of Christ and being conscious of that fullness.  Be salvation conscious and know what state you are in.   Let’s say you have been saved for 10 years.  Do you know the state you have been in for those 10 years?  Did you know that you have been in a state of welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety? It may not be manifest because you have not been conscious of it and claimed your rights that are included with being in that state.  Lets look at it another way.

Lets say you lived in the state of Michigan for twenty five years, then because of a new job you move to the great state of Texas.  After a year you prepare to file your taxes and you tell your accountant, “Hey I need to file my Federal, State and City taxes.  Your accountant then tells you, “There are no state taxes in the state of Texas.  That is a benefit of living in the state of Texas.”  You are pleasantly surprised to find that out.  No state taxes.  Without your accountant sharing that knowledge you would have tried to file and pay state taxes, thereby denying yourself one of the benefits of living in the state of Texas.  This adds new meaning to what you don’t know can hurt you.    You are in the state of salvation the provides you the benefits of welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation and safety by God the Father through Christ Jesus.  Be sure to take advantage of the benefits of your “state”.

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!
