Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— Psalms 103:2
As a believer do you know that Jesus has given you everything He has? That is the only reason why Poppa had Jesus come to Earth as a man and die. So that He could legally get everything Adam lost back to us.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3 KJV
Do you see the word all there in that verse? It is the Greek word pas. It means all, the whole, every kind of blessing. All means all. When God gave His all that means He has nothing more to give.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:33 KJV
The word all in the verse is the same word pas. This means that when God gave you Jesus, He also gave you everything with Him. It’s like a combo meal at Wendy’s. The fries and drink come with the burger. The prosperity and healing come with Jesus. The shalom and the joy come with Jesus. So when we see Psalms 103:2 we have to look at all the good things in the Old Testament and the New Testament to know what are ALL HIS BENEFITS!! We have been redeemed from the curse of the law but Christ never redeemed us from the blessings of the law, they are still ours!!!! Poppa only gives good to us. There are many things in the Old Testament that do not apply and are not for us but all the good, all the good promises of God the Father are still ours today. God is a GOOD GOD!! He’s a GOOD Daddy. So when you ask for more of Jesus you are insinuating that God has held something back from you. Please don’t do that. That is how Eve got tricked. The snake (really it was the devil in the snake) said God knows when you eat of the tree you will become like God. They were already like God, Genesis 1:26 says so. That statement by God in Genesis 1:26 to be like Him is a promise that is still available today through Christ Jesus, who is the means for man to once again be just like God the Father!!! To be just like His Daddy!!
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV
So as you see we are in Christ and for us all of God’s promises are in Christ an automatic YES for us as we agree and say AMEN!!!
i say AMEN to all of God’s promises, how about you? I don’t want more or a little bit of Jesus. I receive ALL OF HIM!!! This is receiving ALL OF JESUS!!!
All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
