Because of this, we also, from the day we heard, do not cease on behalf of you offering our petitions and presenting our definite requests, that you might be filled with the advanced and perfect experiential knowledge of His will in the sphere of every kind of wisdom and intelligence which is spiritual… Colossians 1:9 Kenneth Wuest Translation

As believers  we have always needed and will always need WISDOM.  Thankfully the Word of God declares that Christ is made unto us wisdom, as well as righteousness, sanctification and redemption.  So all of these are ours now because of our union with Christ.  The book of Proverbs tells us to get wisdom and in all our getting to get understanding.

New International Version
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7

These are popular scriptures that many believers may know already.  However the Kenneth Wuest Translation makes a very interesting point that other translations do not.  It indicates and highlights the fact that all wisdom and intelligence(understanding)  IS SPIRITUAL.  The word spiritual there is the Greek word pneumatikos.  That word means:

pneumatikos: spiritual

Original Word: πνευματικός, ή, όν
Part of Speech: Adjective
Transliteration: pneumatikos
Phonetic Spelling: (pnyoo-mat-ik-os’)
Short Definition: spiritual
Definition: spiritual.

HELPS Word-studies

4152 pneumatikós (an adjective, derived from 4151 /pneúma, “spirit”) – spiritual; relating to the realm of spirit, i.e. the invisible sphere in which the Holy Spirit imparts faith, reveals Christ, etc.

In this case, the Spirit here is The Holy Spirit.  So it’s talking about wisdom and understanding that emanate from The Holy Spirit.  Why is this important?  Because  people, believers or unbelievers alike need to understand something so that it can help them face THE TRUTH.   Here is a true statement and a statement of truth:  Without God and the Spirit of God, man is a DUMMY.  Literally a dummy.  Like a mannequin in the store.   Without God’s Spirit man cannot do anything, or think anything or come up with any ideas big or small.  This is very important.  Today men and women think they come up with ideas and things on their own. The truth is THEY DON’T.  God’s Spirit is what gives life and all that comes with it.  When a person is born their mother and father give them their body but God provides their spirit and their life.  While here, they get an opportunity to make a choice to give their life to Jesus and go to an even higher life, real life and have it in super abundance.

Now remember the Word of God in our text scripture says all wisdom and intelligence (understanding) is SPIRITUAL.   If a person gives there life to Jesus they receive their wisdom and understanding from Him. If they continue without becoming born again, the devil is their spiritual overlord and he is a spirit as well.  So the wisdom they receive from him is spiritual as well but it is devilish. The book of James speaks about this.

13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  James 3:13-15 KJV

We should expect the Holy Spirit to give us wisdom and understanding in every area of our lives and not walk in the wisdom of the world which in most cases is earthly, sensual and devilish.  We need to spend time praying in the Spirit to receive from the Spirit all that is already ours thru Christ Jesus. All wisdom and understanding is spiritual. Thru Christ you can become the next creator of something as great as Facebook, or the iPhone because the wisdom for those creations came from God the Father anyway.  So take advantage of your connection with The Holy Spirit and receive wisdom and understanding which are SPIRITUAL.

All the blessed to you. Shalom!!!

And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. Genesis 25:5 King James Version

This scripture is a picture of God the Father(Abraham) and God the Son Jesus(Isaac).  Jesus willingly GAVE Himself for us.  The Father did not force Him to come down and die.  They discussed it and Jesus agreed that if the Father would prepare Him a Body, He would come down and die for us to place us in right standing again with the Father and GIVE us eternal life, eternal salvation, eternal redemption and an eternal inheritance.  In John 10:10 Jesus said that He came that we might have life and have it in super abundance.  This life is His own life.  The very same life that Jesus and the Father have, He has GIVEN to us. I want you to pay attention to all this GIVING.  That’s Who Grace is! That’s what Grace(Jesus) does! He GIVES!!!  The Law is not like that.  It does not really have any room to give.  If you miss it the law has no give it says simply that you must be punished.

You must show no pity for the guilty! Your rule should be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. Deuteronomy 19:21 New Living Translation

In the above scripture verse God was laying down the law for how guilty people are to be handled, with no pity or mercy.  But Christ is the end of the law and The Father is merciful to our unrighteousness because we are under GRACE or because of Jesus.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 10:4 King James Version

But when God found fault with the people, he said:

“The day is coming, says the LORD,
when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel and Judah.  (We are of the tribe of Judah just as Jesus is.)
And I will forgive their wickedness,
and I will never again remember their sins.” Hebrews 8: 8 & 12 New Living Translation

Sin and the law used to reign in our lives but no more.  Now Grace reigns!!! It is truly sad when New Testament believers fight and claw to live like they are under the Old Testament and under the law. They want to live by the ten commandments when they cannot. Christ is the END OF THE LAW.  They think if they do not live by the law that they will run rampant sinning and living wildly.  But The Word Who is Jesus has already answered that.

Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.  Romans 6:14 New Living Translation

The law demands that you DO what is right or it will punish and condemn you.  Grace supplies you with Jesus’s very own righteousness which GIVES you right standing permanently with God the Father and it cannot be taken away because it was not given based on what you did or didn’t do but what Jesus did at the Cross.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.   Romans 5:1 New Living Translation

Notice in the next verse how Grace has come into play in Romans 5:2

New International Version
through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

New Living Translation
Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

So we have been made right or righteous because of Jesus.  We are in right standing in The Father’s sight.  When you know that you are righteous not because of you but  because of Jesus’s undeserved favor then this causes you to reign in life.  It’s not you. GRACE DOES IT!!!!

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 5:21 King James Version

Grace reigns thru righteousness.  We have been given GRACE Who is Jesus and all that Jesus has belongs to us.  He has GIVEN it to us.  You cannot earn it.  You cannot earn an inheritance. An inheritance is GIVEN to you.

That is why He is the One who mediates a new covenant between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant. Hebrews 9:15 New Living Translation

The Law requires you to DO something to get something. That sounds like the world.  Grace says accept what has been GIVEN to you because of what Christ has DONE!!!  Which will you choose?

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!

And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. Genesis 25:5 King James Version

If you have been a believer you may be familiar with the story of Abraham.  God blessed Abraham and made Him prosperous and rich and He did it by GIVING to Abraham. Many believers don’t realize it but Abraham was under the covenant of GRACE just as New Testament believers are today.  The same Gospel and Jesus that you believe in is the same Gospel that God the Father preached to Abraham thousands of years ago.  God the Father GAVE wealth to Abraham even in the midst of Abraham lying, being fearful and letting another man take his wife. Right in that situation God blessed, protected, prospered and increased Abraham and Sarah and punished the man that Abraham gave his wife too.  Why? Because Abraham was righteous.

11As he was approaching the border of Egypt, Abram said to his wife, Sarai, “Look, you are a very beautiful woman. 12When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife. Let’s kill him; then we can have her!’ 13So please tell them you are my sister. Then they will spare my life and treat me well because of their interest in you.”
14And sure enough, when Abram arrived in Egypt, everyone noticed Sarai’s beauty. 15When the palace officials saw her, they sang her praises to Pharaoh, their king, and Sarai was taken into his palace. 16Then Pharaoh gave Abram many gifts because of her—sheep, goats, cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels.

17But the LORD sent terrible plagues upon Pharaoh and his household because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. Genesis 12:16 New Living Translation

I want you to notice something.  Who was in fear that someone could take their life here?  Abram!  Who was willing to let his wife be taken so that his life would be spared, a selfish and cowardly act? Abram!  Who was given material blessings for giving up his wife? Abram!   Now notice one more thing.  Who got punished with plagues? Pharaoh.  Something is not fair. Abram is the one who lied and was in fear and selfishly gave up his wife to save his own self but God punished Pharaoh.  GRACE IS NOT FAIR!!!  Had this been a situation where they were under law, the law would have demanded that Abraham be punished. Instead God saw to it that material blessing was given to Abram and he got his wife back and still got to keep all of his stuff.

I want you to see a very profound truth.  Look at the conditional nature of the law.

“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. I Chronicles 28:9 New Living Translation

But if you or your descendants abandon me and disobey the commands and decrees I have given you, and if you serve and worship other gods, 7then I will uproot Israel from this land that I have given them. I will reject this Temple that I have made holy to honor my name. I will make Israel an object of mockery and ridicule among the nations. 8And though this Temple is impressive now, all who pass by will be appalled and will shake their heads in amazement. They will ask, ‘Why did the LORD do such terrible things to this land and to this Temple?’ I Kings 9:6-8 New Living Translation

You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18 English Standard Version

God does not change.  Even under the law, He still keeps his covenant He swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  But before the law you see God the Father GIVING wealth to people. Under the Law, God gives people the power to get wealth.  But under Grace God gives people life, wealth, health and healing and wholeness. Notice all the GIVING going on.

Then Pharaoh gave Abram many gifts because of her—sheep, goats, cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels.  Genesis 12:16 King James Version

Pharaoh gave Abram many gifts and the gifts were not taken back when Pharaoh had to give back Sarai his wife.

And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. Genesis 25:5 King James Version

Abraham (who is a picture of God the Father), gave Isaac (who is a picture of Jesus the Son) all he had.

The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!  Exodus 12:36 New Living Translation

They were given the Egyptians wealth.

So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.  To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five sets of clothes. Genesis 45:21-22 New International Version

Joseph (who is a picture of Jesus) gave them carts and provisions for their journey.

The Law demands but Grace gives or supplies. Study this out for yourself. Even in the Garden of Eden, Adam did not have to do anything, everything was given to him and prepared for him before he was even placed into the garden. God never changes.  This is in no way saying people should not work but our prosperity comes from Jesus!!! Before the law was given God the Father was simply giving and blessing.  Under the law, things were conditional. But now because of Jesus GRACE has been restored by us having peace with God the Father thru the Lord Jesus Christ.  Romans 5:1 declares this.  Grace is undeserved, unmerited favor.  Its based on what Jesus did, His finished work. This is how we reign in life by receiving the abundance of GRACE who is Jesus.

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!

Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, I Peter 2:2 New Living Translation

When a person is a new believer, it is important that they crave PURE spiritual milk so that you can grow.  Just like a baby needs milk and the best milk would come directly from their mother, so new believers  need and should desire that milk.  Pure spiritual milk is the Gospel of Grace not the law.  Hankering after the law will lead to condemnation, guilt and a sin consciousness.  These things inhibit the believers growth especially the new believer because they encourage an insecurity in the finished work of Christ and eternal salvation.

And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation, 10being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.  Hebrew 5:9-10 New American Standard Bible

Jesus has obtained for us eternal salvation.   Growing and working out that salvation is done by ingesting milk at first then moving over to meat.

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able…  I Corinthians 3:1-2 New American Standard Bible

The Word of God tells us that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled.  Do you realize that as a believer many of the times that you may feel hungry or thirsty in the natural, you very well could simply be hungry for The Word.  I encourage you to try it sometines.  I know you know when you have not eaten so I am not referring to those times.  Times where you feel like you want to eat but you know your not physically hungry, take 15, 20 or 30 mins and go read The Word.  As you focus and feed ‘that hunger’  the feeling of natural hunger will subside as well.  That milk is necessary and needed for you to grow to maturity in Christ and after you have been in Christ and fed yourself on the milk of The Word for a number of years you should be able to move to solid food.

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. Hebrews 5:12-13 New American Standard Bible

What distinguishes the mature believer from the immature believer.  UNDERSTANDING RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!   When a believer knows that he or she is righteous they are able to grow up and become secure in their salvation and the finished work of Christ.  What is understanding righteousness?  Tune in next week as we begin discussing the topic JUST DA TRUTH- ABOUT UNDERSTANDING RIGHTEOUSNESS.

All the blessed to you,  Shalom!!!

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.  Galatians 5:1 New Living Translation

Shalom to you!!! And may His Shalom penetrate and permeate every area of your life from this time forth and even for ever more. Amen!  After deep consideration and heartfelt concern for believers and people everywhere, I have chosen this weekend to encourage you to STAND FAST in the liberty and freedom that Christ has freely provided by His Birth, Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection.  This gift is free to us but it cost God the Father and Jesus a great deal.  And if they both were wiling to pay so high a price to redeem us and set us free from slavery and bondage to sin and the law and false doctrines as well as false teachers, take sometime to think about and esteem and most importantly RECEIVE ALL that The Father has provided thru Jesus.

Understand that The Father and Jesus do not desire us to be in any form of bondage, sin or fear to ANYTHING.  This is why Jesus came.  Living in fear and bondage and lack and sin is not life.  Jesus said that the reason He came was so that we could have life and so that we could have His Life, the very same Life He has in SUPER ABUNDANCE.  Jesus is not sick, broke, depressed, in fear, in any kind of bondage and sin has no dominion over Him in any way, shape or form.  All that Jesus has and is BELONGS to us.  Christ HAS TRULY SET US FREE,  It is up to us to make sure that we stay free.  In order to do this you have to esteem the gift given to you and value it and be thankful for it.  Jesus loves us and we love Him because He first loved us. That love has provided freedom.  Be sure to RECEIVE(take) it!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23 KJV

Yesterday we talked about doubt. We defined doubt as is the Greek word diakrino and it means I distinguish, discern, doubt, hesitate I separate, distinguish, discern one thing from another; I doubt, hesitate, waver. The main meaning of the word diakrino is to make a difference. We talked about Jesus brought up speaking to a mountain after they saw him speak to a tree. In comparison to a mountain a tree is small, miniscuile even. What Jesus was saying was, “Don’t make a difference between speaking to a tree and a mountain.” Perhaps that does not bring this home for you. Jesus was saying, in today’s terms, “Don’t make a difference between a headache and cancer. Don’t make a difference between a $25 dollar debt and a $250,000 debt.  Now you may be wondering, “How in the world am I supposed to do that?  Jesus gave the answer to that question as well.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  Mark 11:22 KJV

Jesus’ answer to them was to, “Have faith in God.”   The actual translation of what He said can be read in the Douay-Rheims Bible Version.
And Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God. Mark 11:22 Douay-Rheims Bible  Version

The answer is “HAVE” the faith of God.  He saying, “Here! HAVE THE FAITH OF GOD!” Use God’s faith to bring it to pass.  Can you see God saying, “Light be and then closing His Eyes to peek and see if it actually works?”  Of course not.  You know this is how God operates. He believes then He Speaks.  But this is not just how He functions. We do the same thing.

But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV

So God the Father and Jesus want us to HAVE the same faith God Himself has and then believe and then speak and don’t doubt. Don’t make a difference whether we feel or think its something big or small.  Don’t make a difference.  By Jesus telling us to not make a difference He is essentially telling us, “There is no difference between a headache and cancer.”  Human beings look at things in terms of hard or easy and that came as a result of eating from the tree of the “knowledge of good and evil.”  God the Father never intended for man to even know about doubt.  If you have knowledge of doubt then you have the opportunity to doubt.  That knowledge of it (which is evil) creates the possibility for it.   Viruses and germs had no authority or ability to harm Adam and his wife.  The animals could not attack them and would not. Why?  Because Adam had authority and ability over them.  Jesus has restored this authority and ability to believers through His Glory which He gave to us in John 17:22.  However you have to know this and be conscious of it. Be conscious of your authority. Be conscious of your ability in, through and by Christ. It’s the same authority and ability that Christ Himself has because we are His Body.  So I encourage you, BELIEVE don’t DOUBT.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

What I am leaving with you is shalom — I am giving you My shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.  John 14:27 Complete Jewish Bible

If you have been with us any length of time you know about the word or at least know of the word ‘Shalom’.  It graces the end of every post and is a greeting and a goodbye of sorts.  If you have never heard of the word shalom and do not know what it means lets catch you up.  According to Strong’s Concordance 7965 Shalom means completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.  Shalom means to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be fully paid.  So now you can see what a great and multi faceted word the word ‘shalom’ is.  By our opening text your can also see that you were not given just any type of shalom.  Jesus said, “I am giving you MY SHALOM!  The same completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony and absence of agitation or discord that I have and had while I was here on the Earth. Let me ask you a question.  Have you ever read anywhere in the Bible where Jesus was frantic or scared and in fear?  Have you ever seen Jesus concerned about not having enough?  No!  When there appeared to be not enough or even anything at all Jesus created it.  Guess what?  YOU CAN TOO!!!   Look at something else Jesus said when talking about shalom.

I don’t give the way the world gives.  Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.  John 14:27 Complete Jewish Bible

Jesus does not give the way the world gives.  How does the world give?  Miserly, or in fear.  Concerned that you don’t get more or the same as them.  Jesus is not like that.  This is why He gave you HIS SHALOM.  The same shalom He has.  He wanted you to have the same peace, the same joy, the same prosperity that He Himself enjoys and not a lesser version.  The Father’s whole goal in sending Jesus is to make you ONE with Himself and Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  He came that you might have LIFE and have it in SUPER ABUNDANCE.  So what do you have to do to obtain this life?  As with anything of God’s it takes faith which simply means believing and receiving.  Receiving is the greek words lambano and it means ‘to take’.  If someone were to say, “Hey I am giving you a $100 and then stick a hundred dollar bill in your face, what would you do?  If you have good sense you will TAKE IT and say THANK YOU!!  The same thing with the things of God.  You find out in The Word what is yours and what has already been given or offered to you and you take it.  Jesus said, “I am giving you MY SHALOM.”  Now some  people or even preachers would tell you that you have to obey all the commandments or others would say, have you been living right and do you have a sinless life in terms of ALL your actions and the answer would be no for them and no for you.  This shalom is not based on what you do or don’t do. It’s based on what HE HAS DONE!  If that were the case the disciples would not have qualified either.  They were running in fear when Jesus was taken. Fear is sin. They were arguing about who was the greatest among them. That’s pride and pride is sin.  Jesus had to rebuke them at some point. Yet this did not stop Jesus from giving them His Shalom and it won’t stop Him from giving it to you.  So don’t disqualify yourself when Jesus has qualified you.

This is the real topic today.  If you look back at that definition of Shalom from the Strong’s Concordance you will notice something at the very end.  It says,  “In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be fully paid.”  Shalom comes from the root word shulam which means to be fully paid.   What that means is that all those things that shalom means have already been fully paid for by your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ if you are born again.  That means that completeness has been paid for.  Your prosperity had been paid for.  You cannot qualify for it because it’s a GRACE GIFT.  Grace is unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor born out of The Father’s Love for you.  Imagine walking on to the Honda car lot to buy the new 2016 Honda Pilot.  You pick out the one you want and then go to the booth for financing and the salesman says, “Oh we just need you to sign a couple of papers because someone else saw you and paid for the car for you.”  The only thing left for you to do is receive and say thank you if the person is still around.  The same thing applies to SHALOM!!  Receive all the benefits of HIS SHALOM today and everyday.

Doubt. We’ve all been faced with it.  We’ve all dealt with it at one time or another and if you  say you have not I doubt you are telling the truth.  LOL.  The great thing is we can depend on someone greater than ourselves to help rid our life of doubt in any area and that person is our Lord Jesus.  In the above scripture, Jesus was telling His disciples a secret. The key to this secret is what He was talking about right before He spoke this scripture that Brother Kenneth Hagin made so popular, people thought the name of the scripture was Hagin 11:23.    The day before this scripture takes place Jesus came to a tree looking for fruit.  He found none on it so he said to it,  “No man eat fruit from you now or hereafter.”  The disciples were with Him and heard what He said and they continued on to the town where they were going.  The next day when they left town they passed by the same tree and noticed it was completely dried up from the roots overnight.  His disciples were astonished  at how quickly it had dried up and called Jesus’s attention to it because Jesus had paid the tree no attention after speaking to it.  This is where we pick up with the above scripture.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 KJV

So in response to their amazement that the tree actually did what Jesus told it to do, Jesus told them that WHOEVER, not just HIM but WHOEVER shall say to this mountain that they were by at the time (and yes it was a real mountain),”Be removed and be thou cast into the sea; AND SHALL NOT DOUBT in his heart (not his head), but shall  believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.  Now let me ask you a question. Would you like to HAVE whatsoever you saith?  The answer for most people is NO.  Why?  First of all they don’t believe what they say. Second of all most people, even believers talk and speak death and negativity so if they had what they said unfortunately they would be dead.  You have to make a conscious choose to fix this and stop saying, “My feet are killing me or I am dying for a piece of cake.”  That kind of talk will need to be removed from your life because you will have what you say. Jesus said so here and in the book of Proverbs.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.          Proverbs 18:21 New Living Translation

Make a decision to watch and guard the words coming out of your mouth. Then you will be ready to move on to the real meat of our message today.  So remember the main reason Jesus talked to the disciples about not doubting was because of what He did to the tree and their amazement.  Again they were amazed that the tree actually did what Jesus said. I believe Jesus was amazed that they were so shocked so He decided to use this as a teachable moment.  Lets look again at what He said.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 KJV

The key word we’re are focusing on is doubt.  The word doubt there is the Greek word diakrino and it means  I distinguish, discern, doubt, hesitate I separate, distinguish, discern one thing from another; I doubt, hesitate, waver.  The main meaning of the word diakrino is to make a difference.  Now always keep scriptures in context and the context included the fig tree which He cursed.  If you pay attention you will see that Jesus brought up speaking to a mountain after they saw Him speak to a tree.  In comparison to a mountain a tree is small, minuscule even. Why?  Because you are now doubting, you are making a difference and that is what doubt really is. To make a difference.  Do you know how many dreams are not pursued because of doubt?  Because the person needs millions to bring their dream to pass and they can see if it was $250 dollars but 2.5 million they cannot figure out how that kind of money would ever get into their hands. I’ll answer that for you and it may shock you.  You know why most people CAN get their hands on $250?  Because they BELIEVE they CAN.  It’s the same reason most people CAN’T get their hands on 2.5 million dollars. They DON’T BELIEVE they CAN.  We will finish this up tomorrow but you need to grab a hold of this teaching and never let it go. It’s God’s Word.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

Remind people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready and willing to do good, 2 to slander or abuse no one, to be kind and conciliatory and gentle, showing unqualified consideration and courtesy toward everyone. Titus 3:1-2 Amplified Bible

Take sometime to read and meditate this scripture because its a doozy.  I will be the first to admit and cry out, “Lord help me!!!”  Why?  Cause people are a TRIP!! And they do things sometimes deliberately to you and sometimes undeliberately but if you are honest sometimes you still wanna “get ’em”.  You wanna lay hands on them if you know what I mean.  And yes I am talking about believers having these thoughts. Now for all you super Christians who never have a bad thought or desire I am gonna let my silence speak for you. Sometimes maybe now or in the past you may have wanted people to get what they deserved but thank God that Poppa and Jesus are not like that and AS HE IS SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD!!!  So we can do it! We can look over a suffered wrong and keep right on loving and being kind and courteous.  The Word says I can so I don’t care about what I think or how I’ve acted in the past to the contrary.  You don’t measure The Word by your experience you measure The Word by The Word. So believe the Word and soon you will be acting and responding to the most contentious situations just like Jesus!!!  Amen!  We can do it because the Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Ghost.

All the “blessed” to you! Shalom!!!

For by the grace have you been saved in time past completely, through faith, with the result that your salvation persists through present time; and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, not from a source of works, in order that no one might boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9 Kenneth Wuest Translation

You have been saved by GRACE!! PERIOD!!!  You have not been saved because you do good things. You have not been saved because you go to church or you serve at the church.  You have not been saved because you do or don’t drink alcohol. You have not been saved because you are nice or good to people.  YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED BY GRACE and GRACE ALONE!  JESUS is FULL OF GRACE  & TRUTH.

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NIV

Not only have you been saved by GRACE Who is JESUS, but you have been ‘saved in time past‘ COMPLETELY.  That means before sin ever existed or before the world was created you were saved because the Father choose you in Christ out for Himself.

Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. Ephesians 1;4 NLT

So when we understand that all that we have received from Poppa the Father is by GRACE we can relax and just receive what has already been provided as a GIFT!!!  Let’s use Christmas as an example.  If you’ for Christmas, were you simply given the gifts or did you do something to earn them?  In almost all cases Christmas gifts are given to people because it’s Christmas not because the person earned it.  What is my point?  My point is you must know what has been GIVEN TO YOU as a GIFT so you don’t waste your time trying to earn it by doing works. Let’s look at our opening scripture again.

For by the grace have you been saved in time past completely, through faith, with the result that your salvation persists through present time; and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, not from a source of works, in order that no one might boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So again as we did previously lets define two words saved and salvation.  The word saved is the Greek word sozo which means I save, heal, preserve and rescue. The word salvation is the Greek word soteria. It means health, welfare, prosperity, deliverance, preservation, salvation, safety. Once again our text scripture says that we have been saved in past time with the present result that we are in a STATE OF SALVATION that persist thru present time.

If you believe this scripture YOU ARE IN (and LIVE IN) THE……

  • State of HEALTH
  • State of WELFARE
  • State of PROSPERITY
  • State of DELIVERANCE
  • State of SALVATION
  • State of SAFETY

That is great and you need to know this.  However let’s look at the next verse.

and this [salvation] is not from you as a source ‘of God it is the gift, not from a source of works, in order that no one might boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Kenneth Wuest Translation

That word gift in that scripture above is the Greek word doron.  Doron means gift or present or a sacrifice.  The meaning focuses more so on ‘the free nature of the gift’ and the fact that it is spontaneous and uncaused.  This is GRACE, undeserved, unmerited favor from God the Father.  So if you read and understand what verse 9 of Ephesians 2 is saying you will see that The Word says that this STATE OF SALVATION you are in is not from you as a source but it is from God the Father as a GIFT!!!

So based on this scripture your salvation is a GIFT!! This means :

  • Your  HEALTH is a GIFT!
  • Your WELFARE is a GIFT!
  • Your  PROSPERITY is a GIFT!
  • Your SALVATION is a GIFT!
  • Your SAFETY is a GIFT!

You don’t do anything to earn a GIFT, you simply receive it.  Get this revelation in your spirit and soul and it will end many struggles in your life . Many of the things you desire ARE ALREADY YOURS and have ALREADY BEEN GIVEN TO YOU as a GIFT. RECEIVE!!! Amen!

All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!!!
