And He is The Head of the body which is The Church, for He is The Head and The Firstborn from among the dead, that He would be Preeminent in everything, Colossians 1:18 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

But you are the body of The Messiah and members in your places. I Corinthian 12:27 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him Head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself.  Ephesians 1:22-23 New Living Translation

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. I Corinthian 1:30 KJV

We have looked at many different aspects of ‘using Your Head’.  We have talked about the function of our natural bodies as well as the function of Jesus as Our Head and us the Body of Christ.  In our last segment we talked about how you as a person, a normal human being are limited by what you know or your knowledge or the resources you have in the natural. In this segment I want to talk about the unlimitedness of Jesus and how you can use Your Head to tap into this unlimitedness that is already yours thru Jesus Christ.  It simply has to be received by or in faith.  Read this scripture a few times until you get all the multifaceted juice and goodness out of it.

May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be eulogized(blessed or praised), the One who conferred benefactions(benefits) upon us in the sphere of every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, even as He selected us out for Himself in Him before the foundations of the universe were laid, to be holy ones and without blemish before His searching, penetrating gaze; in love, Ephesians 1:3-4 Kenneth Wuest Translation

This scripture is absolutely pregnant with the blessing, favor and predestinated Love of God for us.  There may be a few words that may be unfamiliar with.  Lets define those first.

  • eulogize-  to praise highly in speech or writing
  • benefactions- to do good or do well: a gift or donation

So Paul in the book of Ephesians is encouraging us to praise God highly  for the benefits and  blessings that He has granted or bestowed on us in the sphere or in the form of every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.  The word spiritual there is the word pneumatikos and it means things that emanate from the Spirit of God or have God’s Spirit as their Source or origin.  The air you are breathing right now is a pneumatikos or spiritual blessing because it comes from God as the Source.  The computer screen on your computer or phone or tablet is a spiritual blessing because although made by man, God the Father is the One Who has given man the wisdom and knowledge and intelligence to build roads and cars and all the beneficial things you see.  Man has no intelligence on his own.  When God the Father first made Adam’s body of the dust of the Earth, it was like a mannequin until God breathed His Spirit into man and man became a living soul, but only after God breathed Himself into man.

The scripture above in Ephesians goes on to say that these blessing are in the Heavenly places in Christ.  Now in ignorance you may think, “Lord why did you put the blessings in Heavenly places? I need them down here on Earth.”  I know you mean well and I am still renewing my own mind to this truth and reality that I am about to share with you. So if Jesus is Your Head and you are His Body along with all the other members of the Body Of Christ then ‘where are you?’.  Well right now I am in Ohio physically but I am also seated with Jesus Christ right there next to the Father.  Don’t try to get this with your head.  To understand what I am saying you are going to have to use Your Head (Jesus).  By believing that you are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly places in Christ, you are then able to cause those blessing to be made manifest here in the Earth or temporal realm.  However everything starts with the spiritual and then the natural in the work of redemption.  In the work of creation it starts with the natural then the spiritual.  You, the real you existed as a spirit in Heaven before you ever came down here to Earth.  As I always say don’t take my Word for it. Take The Word for it.

But God, being wealthy in the sphere of mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, and we, being dead with respect to our trespasses, made us alive together with the Christ; by grace have you been saved completely in past time, with the present result that you are in a state of salvation which persists through present time, and raised us with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus… Ephesians 2:4-6 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So this scripture once again confirms that we are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus.  Jesus prayed and asked the Father to let us be with Him this way so that we can behold His Glory and God the Father answered His prayer.  Look at this interaction in prayer with Jesus and Our Father.

Father, that which you have given me as a permanent gift, I desire that where I am, also those might be with me, in order that they might be continually beholding the glory which is mine, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the universe. John 17:24 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Did you see that? The Father has given you and me to Jesus as a permanent gift.  Our Father does not give trash, worthless and sorry gifts to anyone let alone Jesus so that means you are of great value.  Jesus desired something and prayed about it and He received what He prayed as the scripture later shows that we are seated with Him and in Him in the Heavenly places so that you can be beholding continually His Glory. If Jesus got one part of His prayer answered the other was answered too, so you should be beholding continually Jesus’s glory in your own life and in the lives of others.  But again to do this you are going to have to use Your Head.  You have to see things the way God the Father and Jesus see things. You have to say, ” I am protected because I am seated in the Heavenly places in Christ far above all principality and disease and sickness and lack and debt.  I am blessed with EVERY SPIRITUAL blessing!!!  I AM BLESSED!!!   I AM A GIFT TO JESUS FROM THE FATHER!!”! We must learn to say what He says, see what He sees and think how He thinks.  That is using Your Head!

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

Wooah!!!! Those four scriptures are POWERFUL!!! They are full of power and wisdom and LIGHT for the believer!!! Please go back and read them all once more.  We have been talking about ‘Using Your Head‘ Who is the Lord Jesus Christ.  We have also been talking about that we as believers are His Body.  You have to get that picture clear to fully understand and benefit from Christ being your Head and you being His Body.  What does your head do?  It issues order, instructions and commands to your body to do things. Your head (you not Jesus) is the one that tells your body to lift your hand to pick up a glass of water or to put your feet down so you can stand up from a chair.  Your head is the thing that makes the decision on what you are going to eat today.   Now what does your body do? Your body carries out the commands of your head.  The body can only make moves or decisions based on the knowledge or wisdom or guidance of your head. Your body is limited to what your head knows and believes to a certain degree due to your brain. This is why seeing Jesus as Your Head and using Him as Your Head is so important.  This is why knowing and renewing your mind to The Word of God is so important.

If you are a believer, Jesus is Your Head and you are His Body.  You may not know it or may not be acting on it or like it but it is still true.  But as The Word of God says ‘its the truth that you KNOW that sets you free not the truth all by itself sitting there in The Bible.  If a believer has cold or any other type of sickness symptom trying to operate illegally in their body and they don’t know that their Head (Jesus) has already declared that by His stripe they were healed they will have to suffer thru the days or weeks or months or years of that sickness and depending on what it is they may die from it.  All because they did not USE their Head (Jesus). Let’s uncover what it means to use Your Head(Jesus).  Your Head has already provided divine health and healing for you. Your Head has already supplied all your needs according to His riches in glory. The Word declared these things.  First of all you must understand that Jesus IS The Word. That Bible you have or should have is not something it is SomeOne!  The Word and Jesus are One and the same Person. Just as a person is living and alive The Word of God is alive.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12 New Living Translation

Your own physical head has a brain and this is how you know who you are and who your friends are and where your house is and all types of other things. You have stored that information in your brain. When you store The Word of God in your mind(brain) and heart by reading it or listening to it it does things. First of all you become familiar with it and then if you spend enough time with it you memorize it.  Then if you go further and meditate it then you get revelation power out of it that you can use for your benefit at anytime because it has the power to change things. The Word has power built into it by God to bring itself to pass like a apple seed has all the apples already in it.  You know natural things. Jesus knows ALL THINGS.   Eventually you will run into something you don’t know but need to know.  Using Your Head(Jesus Christ) is a benefit that is available to you to provide preferential treatment, favor(undeserved and unmerited) and wisdom to you to apply to the smallest and biggest things in your life. When you learn to use Your Head(Jesus) Who is The Word this is called walking by faith. You use your car or your house or your cellphone for your own benefit to go places, or live and be comfortable or to contact friends and family anytime you want to.  Jesus is there for you as a benefit all the time the same way.

Take sometime to focus on all the things and ways Jesus can benefit you. We will pick this up again in our next segment of this series.  As you go about your day be sure to “use Your Head”.  He knows everything anyway so you may as well take advantage of Him.

All the ‘blessed’ to you. Shalom!!!

God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him Head over all things for the benefit of the church. Ephesians 1:22 New Living Translation

In part one of this series, we talked about primarily how a body works. A head cannot do much without the body and a body cannot do anything with out the head.  Jesus is the Head of the Body of Christ and one of the main reasons He came was for the benefit of the Body.  So that means that we are to use Our Head.  I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way as some may take.  As a matter of fact based on my personal relationship with the Lord Jesus I would go so far as to say that God the Father and Jesus may take it as disrespect to not take advantage of what He has provided at such a great cost: His Son’s Life!  God the Father is very deliberate. He deliberately sent His Son so that He could obtain many sons and daughters. That is us The Body of Christ.

All that belongs to the Father is Mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever He receives from Me.’ John 16:15 New Living Translation

This is not a new thing with the Lord revealing things to His people. He did it for Daniel. He did it for Joseph. And those are Old Testament saints. Jesus by way of the Holy Spirit is doing the same thing for believers today.  I have had the Lord reveal things to me. Things I did not learn from a preacher or anyone else but directly from Him!   The Father has not hidden things from us but He has hidden things for us.  He longs for us to be hungry for the things of Him and to take the time to spend in the Word and uncover secrets.  And when we discover these things they have a generational benefit that last past just us.  Look at this scripture.

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but what has been revealed belongs to us and to our children forever, so that we might observe the words of this Law.”  Deuteronomy 29:29 International Standard Version

Wow they belong to us and our children!  Have you ever thought how great it would be to be able to sit down every day and talk with Jesus personally? That would be pretty awesome but from Jesus’s perspective when you walk by faith and do it that’s a greater thing than Him sitting down with you physically.  How do you do that?  You take the time and spend sometime with Him everyday in The Word.  The Bible that is sitting on your table or where ever you keep it is not something it is SomeOne: JESUS!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 NIV
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14 NIV

Be encouraged to spend time using Your Head!
All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!!!

God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him Head over all things for the benefit of the church. Ephesian 1:22 New Living Translation

Have you ever heard the saying, ” use your head”?  It’s a great term and even greater when you apply it to Jesus Christ.  To the religious mind it may sound sacrilegious but what you need to understand is that this is the the exact reason Father God sent Jesus and why Jesus agreed to come.  Look at John 10:10.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness. John 10:10 Berean Study Bible

So what does this have to do with using your Head? EVERYTHING!  If you are born again you are a member of the Body of Christ.  Jesus  Christ is the Head and we the believer are His Body.   Without your own head you can do nothing.  You can think of things and want thing to be done but without your body hands, feet, fingers etc.. there is not a whole lot your body do.  The same is true with Jesus being your Head and we being His Body.  Jesus  can give orders but without His Body here on the Earth executing His will nothing will get done.  Without us praying and doing the will of the Father thru Jesus’s Headship things simply do not get done. Most people want to do the will of God but guess what? In most cases they do not know what to do.  Why not? This is because they are trying to use their head instead of their Head (Jesus).  Let’s look at another scripture.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesian 2:l0 New Living Translation

So God the Father has already planned the good things or good works for us to do.  Jesus knows what these works or things are and so does the Holy Spirit since they are all One.  Jesus talked about this.

All that belongs to the Father is Mine; this is why I said, ‘The Spirit will tell you whatever He receives from Me.’ John 16:15 New Living Translation

So the Holy Spirt receives from Jesus then tell those things to us. Jesus got those things from The Father. As a human being you know that there are many things you do not know in and of your natural self. But you have an anointing from the Holy One and your spirit connected to the Holy Spirit knows all things. Don’t take my word for it take The Word for it.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. I John 2:27 KJV

The New Living Translation makes it even clearer.
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true–it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. I John 2:27 New Living Translation

How valuable is knowing the truth? These days INVALUABLE.  How about knowing the truth about what job you should take? That could be valuable.  How about knowing what job not to take? Valuable.  All these values and benefits are yours when you use  Your Head the Lord Jesus.

We will pick this up tomorrow and all week so stick and stay with us.
All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!!!

And remember this:
God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.  Ephesians 1:22
That means for your benefit!

“And I have revealed to them Your Name, and I am revealing it, so that the love with which You have loved Me shall be in them, and I shall be in them.”   John 17:26 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

What Name is Jesus talking about that He has revealed to  the disciples and is revealing to us?  The Name “FATHER”.  Do you know whenever Jesus was speaking personally HE NEVER EVER called His Father, God?  As Brother Hagin would say, “Oh if this truth would ever dawn on you!!!”  The only time Jesus personally referred to His Father as God, was when He was on the cross and God turned His back on Him when he took all of our sins, and the sin of every person ever to be born past, present and future upon Himself.  He then said, “My God! My God!  Why have you forsaken Me?”  It’s a powerful and wonderful thing to ponder and take time giving thought to the truth that Jesus NEVER knew the feeling or the fact prior to that moment of being separated from the Father.  As a matter of truth I believe the thing that He dreaded the most, that made Him sweat blood in the Garden of Gethsamne was knowing that when that moment came He would be severed from the Father for a period of time.  I believe that he dreaded this more than the spit, beating, whippings, crown of thorns and even the crucifixion.

If that is how Jesus felt imagine how the Father felt.  What many  believers fail to realize or give serious thought to is that God the Father HAS FEELINGS!!!  He has feelings, He is just not led by His feelings.  But they are feelings no less.  When you understand this you will begin to see Him more as a Father and less as “just God.”  I am not demeaning Who or What God is by no means.  This has to be a revelation to you.  Jesus is our ultimate example, not a preacher but Jesus, Who is The Word!!  If Jesus refers to Him as Father almost exclusively so should you.  This makes your relationship more personal, more intimate, more loving, more paternal, more caring and you will realize how much you are cared for.  In John 17 alone Jesus calls Him Father at least 6 times and He talks about the Name Father even more than that.  Don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it and read  it yourself.  Throughout His time here He constantly spoke of God personally as “My Father” and so should you.  It will change your relationship and the way you see Poppa.  Jesus even specifically addresses this after He was raised from the dead.  Why?  Because an actual change had taken place.  Before He died and was risen He always called Him “My Father or The Father.”  But afterwards look at what He said.

Jesus saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and Your Father; and to My God, and Your God.  John 20:17 KJV

Notice how He said, “to My Father and Your Father”.  Because Jesus died and you have been born again, God is now and forever YOUR FATHER!!!  Take sometime to think about that.  Renew your mind to that and watch you life go to a new level of confidence and assurance knowing God is YOUR FATHER!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. John 17:22-23 KJV

I am sure that you have heard many a minster teach that, “God gets all the glory and you get none!!!”  Well Jesus said you do get glory!!! So I would say that one of them either the preacher or Jesus is wrong and I am willing to wager it’s not Jesus.   If you pay close attention to this verse, it actually tells you that you cannot be One with Jesus unless you have glory just like He does.   Difficult to believe but true as it’s right there in The Word.  But that is not our subject today.  Let’s focus on the last part of the verses above.  Jesus says something here that is crucial for every believer to know.  What is that?  That Poppa God LOVES  YOU JUST AS MUCH AS HE LOVES JESUS!!!!  Not less but just as much.  Do you know how powerful that is?   Do you know that all of Jesus’s confidence came out of His knowledge that His Father loved Him?  This was one of the first things that The Father said to Jesus before He ever did one work, one miracle or anything else.

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:17 KJV

Poppa loves you just as much as He loves Jesus.  As a  result of that love, everything available to Jesus is available to you because of the The Father’s love.  You are joint heir with Jesus.  Joint means equal.  It does not mean that Jesus gets more and you get less.  It means that everything Jesus gets you get.  Everything Jesus has access to, you have access to.   All the health and all the life and all the joy and all the protection that Jesus walked in while He was here on Earth and while He right now sits at the right hand of The Father is yours!!!! The Word declares that we are seated in Heavenly places WITH Christ Jesus.  So don’t see The Father and Jesus as far away.  See them through the eyes of The Word and faith as right there sitting next to you.  Look to your left and say, “Poppa thank you for loving me and the love you loved me with and gave to me through the Holy Ghost I now and forever love You back with.”  Always focus on The Father’s love for you and not on your love for Him.  Why do I say that?  Because we have a tendency to judge our love by how we feel or what we do or haven’t done.  But Poppa’s not like that.  He loves you BIG TIME and ALWAYS and His Love never fails, never gives up, never runs out of us even on our worst acting, tripping day.  He stills says to you, “You are still my girl or boy and I love you and nothing you do OR don’t do can ever change that or change Me.”  Now when you really think about that, YOU WILL LOVE POPPA!!!!  And that is worth more than anything else in the universe because He said nothing shall separate us from His Love which is in and through Christ Jesus.

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Think about this.  What if you had a 2010 Honda Civic fully loaded. You purchased it used and find out that the owner did not get the oil changed regularly so it messed up the engine and you have to now get a new engine. Costly? Yes!  Worth it? Definitely.   A new engine cost about 3 grand.  A new car on average about 20 grand.  The cost of the car is not today’s message but the new engine is.  The engine is the heart of the car. It is what gives the car its power and determines how the car will run. Let’s say you found out in addition to getting a new engine for a few hundred more, you could put a more powerful engine in the car and you decided to go that route.  When we look at the topic scripture above that is what that scripture is talking about.   If any man accepts and is IN Christ he or she is a new creation a being that did not exist before.  Old things ARE passed away.  Behold!(That word means look closely and see or realize) ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW!

“But Brother Vincent I am in Christ and I still have the same dry, rusty hands I had before I got saved!!!” True!  But just like the car, we did not replace the body of the car.  The body of the car was not defective only the engine.  This is how we were. Because of what Adam did we all had a dead spirit or defective battery in us.  When you got born again that old dead spirit died completely and was taken away with Jesus and nailed to the Cross.  You received a brand new spirit that is “eternally alive!”  This is what eternal life is and much more.  You don’t just get eternal life when you go to Heaven. YOU HAVE IT RIGHT NOW!!!  With that new eternal spirit which comes from the Spirit of God you are now more powerful than you ever were before being born again and you will REMAIN that way forever. The issue is most people don’t know this and they live the same way they did before the got saved.

Truth is your spirit is so alive and full of life and the resurrection power of God that it can rejuvenate and effect even your physical body.  The Word of God says so!!!!  Don’t take my word for it. Take The Word for it!!!!

And if the Spirit of Him(God the Father) Who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:11 NIV

Do you see that? Because God’s very own Spirit lives in you thru Christ Jesus, that Spirit has the ability to give life to even your mortal body.  That’s the body you have right now! Not your glorified body you will get later.  Now Moses did not have that Spirit living IN HIM, but it did come ON HIM by Him spending time in God’s presence.  The Bible says that Moses when he died, his eyes were not dim, neither was his natural force or vigor and strength abated or diminished.  He had to go climb a mountain just to die. Thats no small feat at 120 years old.  Imagine what you can do with that Spirit living in you not just on you.    That Spirit has the power to renew your youth and restore you to your teenage years in strength, energy and vitality. Think about that and believe.  Think about that and receive.

All the blessed to you!!! Shalom!

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians 3:23 KJV

Have you ever felt like, “I really don’t feel like working today or I really don’t feel like giving it my all today?”  Sure, we all have.  Let’s take sometime and look at something you may have not thought about and lets put it in bullet form to look at it more clearly.

  • Do you think that Jesus felt like being arrested for no reason?
  • Do you think that Jesus felt like being beaten until there was no skin at all left on His back?
  • Do you think Jesus felt like being spit on?
  • Do you think Jesus felt like having 2 to 3 inch thorns pressed and beaten with a stick into his skull?
  • Do you think Jesus felt like being pierced in the side and hung on the Cross?

And last but not least here is the BIG ONE. Many people do not realize that Jesus’s biggest issue was not the beatings and whippings and crown of thorns.  That may come as a surprise to some but Jesus had NEVER ever been or felt what it was like to be not connected to His Father for millions of years.  And now because of OUR sin He would be for a period of time. So….

  • Do you think Jesus felt like being separated from His Father?

What is my point?  The point is Jesus did not feel like doing any of these things but He was not run or making decisions based on his feelings or emotions.  He was controlled by LOVE and PURPOSE which is God the Father.  He was thinking about you and me.  So when you are at your job or whatever you do even at home as a wife or husband or a child, do your chores or assignment as if it was for Jesus. When you do He will strengthen you to do it heartily or from the heart.  And He will also reward you greater than a simple paycheck.

All the “blessed” to you! Shalom!!!

And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:32 English Standard Version.

GRACE is the Person of Jesus. Grace is extremely important and it is important for you to know why it is important. When Paul was leaving the brethren at the church at Ephesus, he left them with the statement that you see in the above mentioned scripture. The word commend there can be replaced by the word commit. So Paul said, “I commit you to God and The Word of His Grace. He also pointed out two things that The Word of Grace can do.

  • Build you up.
  • Give you an inheritance among those who are sanctified.

The Law does just the opposite. It tears you down with guilt, sin and condemnation. It robs people of their inheritance because when people try to live by the law it brings them back under the curse. Romans 6:14 tells us that sin has no dominion over us because we are not under the law but under grace. Focus on God’s Grace which is and is in Christ Jesus. Don’t try to live by the law because The Word has already made a declaration about the law.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:4 English Standard Version.

Christ is the end of the law to everyone who believes. Believe in the Grace of God and receive what He has for you.

Have a great weekend!!!

All the Blessed to you!!! Shalom!

But, as for you, divinely loved ones, building yourselves up constantly in the sphere of and by means of your most holy Faith, and as constantly praying in the sphere of and by means of the Holy Spirit, with watchful care keep yourselves within the sphere of God’s love, expectantly looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ resulting in life eternal. Jude 1:20 Kenneth Wuest Translation

What is your most “holy faith?”   Strong’s dictionary describes it as  faith  which came from God and is therefore to be heeded most sacredly.  The word holy is the Greek word hagios and it means to be separate or set apart for God by God for an exclusive reason or purpose or person.  What that means is that God the Father has set apart praying in the Spirit FOR YOU as a gift.  This is similar to the way Jesus was set apart as a gift for us.  Did you know that if you are a believer you were set apart by the Father as a gift for Jesus?  YOU ARE HOLY!  Let’s prove that Jesus is a gift from the Father to you and you are a gift to Jesus by The Word.

Answered Jesus and said to her, If you knew the gratuitous gift of God, and Who it is Who is saying to you, Give me to drink, you would in that case have asked Him and He would have given to you water which is alive.  John 4;10 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Here Jesus is talking to the woman at the well and tell her if she only knew the gratuitous gift of God in which He was speaking of Himself.  So not only was Jesus a gift but He knew He was a gift.  This indicates to us that we should know who and what we are because Jesus knows Who and What He is. Now lets look at us being a gift to Jesus.

The sheep which are mine are in the habit of listening to my voice, and I know them by experience, and they take the same road that I take with me, and I give to them life eternal. And they shall positively not perish, never. And no one will snatch them by force out of my hand. My Father who gave them to me as a permanent gift is greater than all. And no one is able to be snatching them by force out of the hand of my Father. I and the Father are one in essence.  John 10:27-30 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So here Jesus details that ‘the sheep which are His’, thats believers, were given to Him by The Father as a permanent gift.  You were separated out as belonging to Jesus and Jesus was set apart as belonging to you.  You belong to Him, He belongs to you.  You’re His sweetheart!!   I know that is a secular song but I like to sing it to myself but see God the Father singing it to me. Do you know what the word sweetheart means?    It means a person that one is in love with. It also means a particularly lovable or pleasing person.  This is the ONLY way God sees you because He sees you thru Christ.   He does not see your faults or failures and missteps because He put those away and placed all your sins and missing the marks on Christ. Many believers don’t understand or know this.  Unfortunately they think God is waiting for them to blow it so He can fry them with a lighting bolt for doing wrong.  But that is not my God or my Father. He is Love. He is Grace. Jesus and He are One and the Bible says Jesus is FULL of GRACE and TRUTH.  And the Father has set aside Jesus and all of His Grace and Truth and Love and Favor just for you!.  Think about that this weekend. Think about all the Holy or set apart things the Father already has given to you and receive them by faith.

All the ‘blessed’ to you! Shalom!!!
