Love never fails I Corinthians 13:8 New International Version

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. I John 4:16 KJV

The secret is I must know and believe the Love the Love that God has for me. I don’t care what my mind says I must stick with and you must stick with The Word. Don’t think evil and say, “Do I really know and believe the love that God has for me?” (Love) thinketh no evil. Just agree with The Word and say, “The Word of God says I have known and believed the love that God has for me. I agree with The Word.” When you do that and say that it will be in your mouth and then get in your heart and YOU WILL know without a shadow of a doubt that you KNOW and BELIEVE the Love that God has for you and you will never fail. Don’t go off of the world’s definition for failure. You are successful because Jesus has made you a success not because you win this contest of that prize. You must know that you are already a success and then that success in Christ will manifest in your natural life and circumstances. Love thinketh no evil. Love never fails. Failure is evil. Failure is sin for all practical purposes and by definition. The word sin comes from the greek word harmatia and it means ‘to miss the mark.’ If a person starts a company and plans to make it a successful multimillion dollar company but shuts down in six months, in the natural it would be seen as a failure or by definition a sin because he or she did not hit the mark they missed the mark. It’s just that plain and simple. People fail or miss the mark (sin) everyday. They set a goal to do something with their kids or their husband and somehow it does not happen. By definition that is sin because they missed the mark. They did not do what they set out to do. But If you look closer especially with things like businesses and ventures and ideas, people miss the mark many times over. How did this happen? Because at the start of the thing, FAILURE WAS AN OPTION. They thought about failure, considered it as a possibility and worse even talked about it and had discussions and meetings with partners or bankers about failure being possible.

Today it is common and a general consensus that when a person starts a new business or a new venture that, “Hey you know the business could fail!” It’s almost like the world’s way of making sure that ingredient is added to as many of the cakes of dreams and ideas as they possibly can. Would you call starting a business or venture and then entertaining thoughts of possible failure a good thing or an evil thing? According to The Word of God that is an evil thought. Remember the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The only reason why evil exist today is because of man(Adam) choosing to experience both good and evil instead of just choosing The Tree of Life. Evil was never an option for man in God’s original plan and intent and it still is not. God is ONLY good and that is the life He has given every believer. This is why it is sin to think evil, failure, sickness, disease, poverty and lack. As a believer we have no business even considering that as an option even if it shows up in our lives because it is not based in Love or Truth. If sin or missing the mark shows up you are to say the opposite just like God did when He saw darkness. He never said one word about the darkness. To speak contrary to The Word of God is sin and is evil and can cause you to miss out on what God the Father has already provided for you through Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us to speak the truth in love. Why? Because for the believer God(Love) has promised success and not just any success but the same success He has and even greater works than Jesus did when He was here on the Earth.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. John 14:12 New Living Translation

God has promised through His blessing to bless all the work of your hands. Also Jesus has forgiven and taken upon Himself ALL YOUR SIN(missing the mark or failure) so since He has done that the only thing left for you to believe is in SUCCESS. He said in Romans 6:14 that, “Sin(missing the mark, failure) shall not have dominion over you because you are not under the law but under GRACE.” Love thinketh no evil! So that means Love only thinks good. So when Love starts a business it goes into it knowing and believing, “This is so great! All I can do is succeed!!! The Word of Love(God) guarantees it.” You start a venture with that attitude I promise you and the word promises you it will be successful because you’ve started it in and on LOVE and LOVE NEVER FAILS!!! Now someone will say, “Well I’m just looking at reality and being realistic. Did you know the word TRUTH means reality. So the truth is the real reality and anything else exist as a lie. So the failure is not the truth the failure is because TRUTH was not added as an ingredient in the cake of your business or venture and it didn’t hold together. The Word of God says that LOVE NEVER FAILS and that LOVE THINKETH NO EVIL. If you believe these two things and stand on them nothing will be impossible for you because now you are operating the same way God(Love) operates. And when you do things God’s (Love’s) way you get God’s(Love’s) results. You are with Love and with Love(God) IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!

Love never fails I Corinthians 13:8 New International Version

(Love) Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; I Corinthians 13:5 KJV

I believe it would be good for us to focus on one aspect of Love as described in the King James Version of the fifth verse where it states (Love) thinketh no evil. This is BIG!!! Did I mention that this is BIG? Okay let me say it again. This is BIG!!! There is a scripture in the book of Jeremiah.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

I was meditating this scripture one day and the Lord spoke to me on the inside and told me something I will never forget. He said to me, “Vincent, one of the reasons (not the main reason) I do not think bad thoughts about you is because if I did, I am so powerful that even my thoughts would manifest.” I really took that to heart and have kept it tucked away to help me as a parent and as a person. Now I know the main reason that God does not think bad or negative thoughts towards us is because of The Blood of Jesus has removed our sins completely and God promised He would not remember them anymore and I believe that. I encourage you to believe that too. But its interesting to see how powerful even the thoughts of God are. It also helps to know that His good and peaceful thoughts are manifesting towards me even now and I believe that and that is how we receive them. But this does not just teach me about God the Father, this also shows me myself because I am His child. Lets get back to the fifth verse of I Corinthians 13. (Love) thinketh no evil. We are New Testament believers. We are not under the Old Testament and we are not under the law. It may seem like God(Love) used to think evil in the Old Testament by many of the things that you see that are described and happened to people.

What you have to understand is that the evil things that happened to people then that were of God were in some cases punishment and in some cases justice. This evil people brought on themselves by breaking the law. It’s no different from the law system we have in place. Under the law if you do good you get good but if you do bad you get bad. Such is not so today and all praise to God the Father and Jesus! Because of Jesus (Love) thinketh no evil. Now once again many people and preachers have said and teach that sex and drugs and drinking is evil. I don’t have time to focus on the so-called “big sins” that some of these people always try to use. I would rather bring to light some of the evils that are often kept in the dark such as financial lack, sickness, sadness, depression, poverty, family dysfunction, failure mentality and a few others. In the Garden of Eden, we all know that none of the aforementioned things existed. The curse came as a result of Adam disobeying God the Father and then those things begin their manifestation.

The scripture in I Corinthians 13:5 says (Love) thinketh no evil.  This is an evil world in the natural and spiritual.  But The Word of God tells us that we are in the world but we are not of this world.  As a result of this and the truth that love thinketh no evil, we should not be thinking evil thoughts.  Naturally they will come to your mind but we should not be meditating them, entertaining them or feeding them. What happens when you feed a little baby? It grows up get bigger and gets stronger. This is how what started off as a thought becomes what is called a stronghold. A stronghold is an area of your mind or thinking where you have allowed that thought, or discipline to become an unconscious way of doing things to the point that you do it and think it without really thinking about it. Please believe me I am not condemning you this is meant to be constructive and has everything to do with our success in the things of God and our families, jobs, businesses and everyday lives. Please allow me to show you what I mean by getting back to our opening text.

Love never fails I Corinthians 13:8 New International Version

I have heard some people say that failure is a good thing and I have heard others say that failure is a bad thing. I understand both points but at the same time I don’t put anything above the Lord or above The Word. I had to correct my own self about this when I saw it recently. So let’s go with The Word of God. What man says about failure does not really matter. When I see that God is Love and then I see that Love NEVER fails I am going to go with LOVE. As I was sitting meditating on this chapter of I Corinthians 13, I realized that God is the Author of the quote, “FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION”. And if you know God at all you know that He has never failed. It may look like He failed or it may look like He’s failing but God (Love) never fails. The issue is do you know and believe THE LOVE?

We will pickup right there on our next JUST DA TRUTH post.  Remember IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!

Love never fails I Corinthians 13:8 New International Version

Do you realize that you can do the impossible with Love? Stop for one minute and really think about that. People spend a lot of time and money trying to figure out how they can do things that men see and say are impossible. Believers and unbelievers alike pursue these things not realizing that what they seek is readily available to them each and every single day. The real issue is their attention and focus is simply pointed in the wrong direction. Many times the thought is, “If I could just get enough money or if I could get that new job everything would be great!” The truth is it’s not what you have, it’s WHO you have.

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 KJV

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. I John 4:16 New Living Translation
So if you are a believer, God is with you. And if you are not a believer, you can have God with you in 3 seconds by declaring, “Jesus I receive You and Your finished work!” Jesus is the way to The Father. And once you accept that way God is with you and nothing is impossible. Now in a lot of cases many ministers would say don’t worry about the how, just believe and that is true. Focusing on the how can sometimes be a distraction if you focus there. But The Word of God tells us in the book of Proverbs that in all our getting get understanding. So how about we get some understanding on this. The first and main reason you and every person saved or unsaved should know and understand as to how and why God the Father does things is because of LOVE. LOVE is powerful because Love is God or God is Love. When we take the various truths of The Word of God and examine them, it really becomes quite clear how and why Love is so powerful and how with Love(God) all things are possible. Lets take a look at Love in the famous love chapter I Corinthians 13.

I Corinthians 13 J.B. Phillips Translation

4 This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience—it looks for a way of being constructive. It is not possessive: it is neither anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance.

5-6 Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when truth prevails.

7-8a Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen.

That indeed is a mouthful or a headful or however you have just ingested it. So much has just been said in those four short verses. Let’s deconstruct this with the help of the Helper, The Holy Ghost, and get all the nutrients out of what has just been said. The fourth verse speaks of how Love(God) is slow to lose patience and has sought out ways to be constructive or beneficial to us as people in general, not just believers. It then goes on to focus on how love has nothing to do with selfishness and how it is not concerned primarily with what people think of them nor does it operate in a conceited way about herself. Now this bears some attention as many people and preachers paint a picture of a God Who is completely selfish and possibly what would be classified in human terms as an ego maniac. This false ‘god’ they paint a picture of is the one sitting on the throne with a lightning bolt waiting to catch you doing one thing wrong so he can fry you accordingly. Let me assure you, nothing could be further from the truth. This directly opposes the patience and love described in the fourth verse. So when you see God described in this way be sure to take that misinformation and store it somewhere useful, like the trash bin and don’t forget to empty it. Verses five and six expound even further regarding how unselfish Love(God) is. Let’s look at it in a different version of the Bible

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; I Corinthians 13:5 KJV

So we see here that Love(God) is not easily provoked. That means that love is not irritable, touchy, behaving like a child that does not gets its way. In addition we see here the maturity of God the Father and how His Love in us can mature us and cause us to overcome our selfish and irritable human tendencies when we realize that we are God’s (Love’s) very own children. The same characteristics and traits and abilities and powers that are in God the Father are in us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Do you see however that it also says, “seeketh not her own” in the verse? That means that Jesus is not going to force you to walk in His character even if you are born again because Love has the utmost respect for people and their free will. Jesus in you by way of the Holy Spirit will help you. The Holy Spirit is described as the Helper but He will not force you because He is not seeking His own way. We all miss it but when we understand Love and the will of Love and yield to it, it makes us failure proof.

Be sure to join us tomorrow and all week as we continue with this series.  It will be well worth your investment of time and attention as well as empower you with the attitude that IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING.

All the “blessed” to you!!!

And Jesus said to him, ‘If thou art able to believe! All things are possible to the One that is believing;’ Mark 9:23 Young’s Literal Translation

Yesterday we talked a lot about believing.  And today we are going to talk about …… wait for it …. BELIEVING!!!  Believing is the genesis of impossible.  When you look at the planet, outer space and the universe and think about the truth that everything we see came from words or THE WORD, most people think “That’s impossible!”.  But that is the whole point.  For the most part, I don’t think and I don’t want to think the way most people think.  My goal is to think like God.  I have a book entitled, “Thinking Like God is the Everything That Makes Impossible Nothing”.  How does God think?  He thinks nothing is impossible and the reason why He thinks that way is because He believes.  And if He had to concern Himself with time then He would be believing 24 hours a day seven days a week 365 days of the years.  If you called God and He answered the phone and you asked what are you doing, I know two things He would say.  “I’m loving people and believing.”  To be honest God really could answer, “‘I’m just being Me (LOVE) and doing what I do (BELIEVING).

(Love) Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things.  Love never fails.  I Corinthians 13: 7-8  KJV

This scripture sheds a lot of light on how to think like God the Father. God is Love.  Love believes all things.  Do you realize that the very world you live in and the very air you breath is only there because God believes?  And because you believe in God and in His Son Jesus you can do impossible things.  Don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it from The Word Himself: JESUS!!!

Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.  Matthew 21:21 New Living Translation

I want to take the time to break apart this scripture and really examine what Jesus says in the scripture.  First of all, Jesus never lies.  So for Him to begin a scripture with, “I tell you the truth” this is something we need to pay very close attention too.  The next portion of the scripture says that if you have faith and don’t doubt.   Let talk about faith for a moment.  The word faith there is the greek word pistis.  Pistis mean faith, belief, trust, confidence.  Pistis in the Strongs definition is always a gift from God, and never something that can be produced by people. In short, pistis (“faith”) for the believer is “God’s divine persuasion” – and therefore distinct from human belief (confidence), yet involving it. The Lord continuously births faith in the yielded believer so they can know what He prefers.

Now the next thing after faith is doubt.  I am going to say something that is going to sound strange.  As much as you understand faith you need to also understand doubt. You need to know what it is so you can know if you are operating in it.  If not, you may be walking thru your saved life for 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 years wondering why things are not happening believing that you are in faith.  So what does it really mean to doubt.  The word doubt there is the greek word diakrino.  Diakrino means to judge or distinguish or to make a difference. Let’s break it down even further to the two words it’s composed of dia and krino.  The word dia means to go thoroughly back and forth.  The word krino means to judge.  So when you put them together diakrino means to judge back and forth or to distinguish or make a difference.  Let’s say a person is a believer and one day that believer happen to get the symptom of a headache.  The believer quickly declares, “By Jesus stripe I am healed”, and the headache quickly goes away.

But lets say the same believer the next week gets test results from the doctor and they are diagnosed with some disease that the doctor says is possibly terminal.  The believer quickly again declares, “By Jesus stripe I am healed”.   But after a few days and talking to a couple of people who began to cry and talk about how serious the disease is, the believer then begins to question or doubt whether they will be healed.  In the meantime the same believer again gets symptoms of a headache.  Again they quickly exercise their faith, declare God’s Word over the headache and it soon disappears.  A few weeks pass by and more symptoms of the disease begin to manifest and the believer becomes worried.  What has happened?    That believer has diakrinoed.  They have vacillated between I believe I am healed and am I going to get healed.  They have made a difference between the headache and the so-called terminal disease.  The truth is there is no difference between a headache and Ebola to God.  The same power that heals and removes a headache is the exact same power that heals and removes the Ebola virus. The same power that heals is the same power that raises people from the dead.  A person being dead to Jesus is no big deal. He knows the truth!  By believing all the time in the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus that makes you free from the law of sin and death and that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, the Ebola virus  and or death can never even touch you.

Doubt can operate the same way when it come to finances.  A bill comes in for fifty dollars the believer is not concerned.  But then their daughter calls them and explains an unplanned college tuition fee of $5000 and the believer begins to get worried and agitated constantly thinking, “What am I going to do?” instead of asking, “What has Jesus already done about this?”  We have all been there.  However our goal should be to never go there again.  Make a decision to get off the two lane high way of belief and doubt and take the one way road to ‘ONLY BELIEVE’ and never get off.  There is an easy way to do this.  Find out WHO YOU ARE!!!  You ARE a believer! I am a man.  I do not wake up and think one day that I am a woman.  (And this is not a crack or attack on people or persons who think they are something other than what they were born as)  I am speaking truthfully from my own experience. I am a man. I do not, have not and will not wake up one day with a thought that I am a woman.  It’s not happening! I am fully persuaded, convinced and believe that I am a man.  My heart tells me so, my demeanor tells me so and my genitalia tells me so.  You must be that convinced about who and what you are so that you can believe all the time.

God’s Word never changes and He is faithful.  God is Love and Love believes.  I am born of Love and I believe!  I am a believer therefore IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!

And Jesus said to him, ‘If thou art able to believe! All things are possible to the One that is believing;’   Mark 9:23  Young’s Literal Translation

What makes “all things possible?”  According to Jesus, simply believing.  But what is “believing”?  Believing is believing.  I know that sounds weird but it is true.  Believing is believing and only believing.  It is not believing and doubting at the same time.   Now don’t allow what I just said or what anyone says to discourage you from ‘believing that you believe.’  Why?  Because you may have doubt in your head at the start but really believe in your heart and this is where believing is done.  The Word of God says so.

For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  Romans 10:10  New American Standard Bible

So starting off, believing with your heart is how you get saved which is the greatest of all miracles.  So every other miracle can be obtained that way and actually is easier.  Have you ever thought about what it means and takes for you to have become and be a believer?  First you have to believe that a God and Father whom you cannot see physically right now exist and is.  Not only that but that He has a Son who He sent to Earth over 2000 years ago in a human and flesh and blood body for the purpose of dying for the sins and wrongs doings of EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has ever lived or will live.  Then after Jesus died, that same God raised Him from the dead, making Him the first human person ever to be BORN AGAIN and by believing in that same person Jesus and in His Name that you too then went through the same death and resurrection and are now born again and you are an entirely new creation that never existed before.  All that in spite of physically you may look the same and feel the same as you were before being born again.

If you ever doubt your ability to believe you should reflect on this which you already believe and let it encourage you.  Always keep in mind though that this is all by God’s grace and faith and even these things are not coming from you as a source, they are a gift from God.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Ephesians 2:8  New Living Translation

God the Father is so kind, so loving, that He not only prepared and provided Jesus but then He turned around and gave you the ability to believe, receive and trust Him.  That is GRACE as opposed to the law.  The law says, “Do this, obey this, receive this!”, and never lifts a finger to help you do it.  If you try to keep the law you are on your own.  But GRACE (which is Jesus) supplies and helps you and provides that which you need to believe.  GRACE SUPPLIES.

So if you have been given the ability to believe and you believe in a God and Father you cannot physically see and in an act you did not physically witness, the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ His Son and that the same thing has happened to you then you are indeed A BELIEVER.  So many people and preachers get caught up in doing and teaching ‘works’ and doing this and that for God instead of focusing on what God has done for them through Christ  Jesus that they never get to enjoy what The Father has done through Jesus Christ.  I tell you the truth, you don’t do works to show who you are.  When you understand that your believing is work you will stop doing work to prove or show that you believe to yourself and other people.  That is legalism and the law.  Jesus said this specifically when people around him saw the things that He did and then asked Him what should they do to work the works of God.

Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the One he has sent.”  John 6:29 New Living Translation

When a believer functions this way, works and miracles are the result and come forth effortlessly because it is not them it is JESUS!!!  And JESUS is the everything that makes impossible nothing!!!

Stay with us all week as we will continue this topic the entire week and perhaps the entire month.  It’s time for you to believe and know that “IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!”

All the “blessed” to you!!! Shalom!

Love (God) never fails I Corinthians 13:8 New International Version

For with (Love) God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 KJV

And Jesus said to him, ‘If thou art able to believe! All things are possible to the One that is believing;’ Mark 9:23 Young’s Literal Translation

This weekend we are going to keep it simple.  I’m asking you to look at, read and meditate these scriptures and ask your self, “Do I believe The Word ?”

All the “blessed” to you!!!  Shalom!

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. John 2:11 KJV

Many people are familiar of the story where Jesus attended a wedding and while there, the people hosting the wedding ran out of wine.  Jesus prompted by the faith of His mother in Him, supplied them with an over abundance of wine. As a matter of fact after studying it is said that they were supplied with 135 imperial gallons or 600 liters.  That’s a lot of wine.  God is not the God of just enough, He is the God of more than enough, every time, all the time.  Our focus today is on how Jesus did this “beginning of miracles”.  There is something called the law of first mention and when you see something first mentioned in the Bible you should pay close attention to it as it sets precedent and contains secrets or foundational pieces for how other things, in this case miracles are done.  I want you to pay close attention to the words in our opening text “beginning of miracles”.

The word beginning there is the Greek word arche.  Let’s take a look at the meaning of that word. That word arche means:

  • 1) beginning, origin
  • 2) the person or thing that commences, the first person or thing
    in a series, the leader
  • 3) that by which anything begins to be, the origin, the active cause

It also means  a commencement, something that is  chief (in various applications of order, time, place or rank)

If you were at a wedding with a friend today or then, and you needed more wine, you would have one or two choices. 1) Go buy some  more from someone who has it.  2) Go and grow more grapes to create more which would take close to 20 years or more which is not feasible.  They desired wine now.  In many ways this was a miracle of convenience because they had wine they just desired more. The worst that could happen was they had to tell the guest, “We have no more wine!”, then suffer some embarrasment.  In the natural and based on religious mindsets it seems highly unlikely that Jesus would perform His beginning of miracles in this setting especially after He told his mother, “It was not His time to manifest in His glory.”  His mother’s faith in Him to do something is what pushed “His time” from later to NOW!  Faith is always now!!! Faith is not bound by time, space, matter or a certain order.  I believe this is what the Holy Spirit desires ALL believers to see, know and learn from this beginning or origin of miracles.

Jesus did not make good wine by using any of these four natural and normal elements:

  • TIME: Good wine naturally or normally takes 20, 30, 40 or even 50 years to produce.
  • SPACE: Wine is not made in a pot, it is made in a vineyard.
  • MATTER: Wine is naturally made from the matter of grapes, not water,
  • ORDER: The natural order for making wine is: Plant seeds, grow the vines, wait for grapes, gather grapes, crush grapes, get juice, bottle it, ferment it then transport to wedding.

These keys in the first or beginning miracle of Jesus contain a notice for us today. When you are believing God for a miracle be sure to not lock Him or box Him into having to do it in a certain time, place or space, way or natural order.  He does not have to do the in between steps. He can skip right thru to the end result with no respect or regard for time, space, matter or natural order.

Jesus operated and functioned in His God given dominion and authority (the same dominion given to man in Genesis 1:26) over time, space, matter and order and so can you thru Him Who strengthens you.  As believers, even we have been programmed by the world system that you cannot control time, space or matter and that things have to be done in a certain order for them to work.  This is not truth!  But if you believe it is true you will live your life bound by time, space, matter and doing things in the natural order when Jesus has provided for you to walk on water, turn water into wine, travel by being transported and many other miracles you see in the Bible.  But of all the miracles you see this one is the beginning or origin of miracles and it contains a lesson and secrets of the mysteries of the Kingdom which are hidden and have been revealed now for you.

If you are still having trouble believing this about yourself take a look at Jesus’s own words to you.

“Timeless truth, I tell you: ‘whoever believes in Me, those works which I have done he will also do, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the presence of My Father.’ ” John 14:21 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

He said this is a ‘timeless truth’.  That means it’s still true TODAY!!!

All the blessed to you. Shalom!!!

But in the fourth watch of the night, Yeshua came unto them while he was walking on the water. Matthew 14:25 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Yesterday we talked about how we thru our Lord Jesus are designed to walk on the very things that seemed to be such a big problem. We talked about how in an earlier verse of out text scripture, that the waves and water of the sea looked as if they were going to take the Jesus’s disciples out who were at that time traveling in a boat.  If that was not enough of an issue the disciples looked out and saw what they thought was a ghost or spirit walking on the water that appeared to be about to destroy them. However it was actually Jesus walking on the water.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. Matthew 14:26-27 KJV

So Jesus walks on the things that ‘appear’ as if they are going to take us out. It could be a sickness, disease, job situations, a small or large financial debt, taxes, or just a worry or concern you may have in your heart. JESUS IS LORD OF ALL and He is LORD OVER ALL. Once again don’t take my word for it, take The Word for it.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV

Did you see that? He HAS OVERCOME the world and you are in Him so YOU HAVE OVERCOME the world.  I don’t want to focus on that as it is enough to study and know this scripture. What I want to focus on is HOW Jesus HAS DONE it because that is HOW you have done it.  In most cases many times it may actually take a miracle to bring you out of the situation.  You need to know that this is no problem and that miracles BELONG to the believer.  What can be a problem is our natural mind.  In most cases, believers and unbelievers alike have been trained, programmed and educated by this natural world to some degree or another.  This programming affects how you think, what you do and how you respond to people and things.  Lets say when it comes to getting money.  If you are in the Word of Faith you may have knowledge of sowing money seed for financial needs. I believe in that as well however the church also teaches us about if you don’t work you don’t eat. That is in the Bible and I believe in working as well.  But let me show you something else in the Bible.  Peter and Jesus needed to pay a specific tax bill and here is what Jesus told Peter to do to pay it.

However, we don’t want to offend them, so go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us.” Matthew 17:27 New Living Translation

Do you know how much wealth is STILL in the sea?  Untold BILLIONS!!!  How did Jesus get that fish to get that coin, pick it up and then be the first fish?  Because HE SAID SO!!!  You and Jesus are one and guess what Jesus said about YOU when you believe in Him?

“Timeless truth, I tell you: ‘whoever believes in Me, those works which I have done he will also do, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the presence of My Father.’ “ John 14:12  Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Jesus spoke Aramaic and He said this is a ‘Timeless truth’.  That means that this is true still today.  So you can get money from the sea just like Jesus. Part of believing in Jesus is believing YOU can do and will do what He said you can and will do.

All the blessed to you! Shalom!!!

But in the fourth watch of the night, Yeshua came unto them while he was walking on the water. Matthew 14:25 Aramaic Bible in Plain English

Imagine being in a boat on the lake and all of a sudden a massive storm appears. The boat is being stirred in directions you don’t want it to go and the water is coming into the boat and potentially it seems your life is in danger as the water in and out of the boat is causing you problems.  Now imagine seeing someone else out walking calmly on top of the very water that is giving you so much trouble.  This is exactly the situation the disciples faced. They were already panicked  about the boat and water but then they SEE something that is even more unnatural and concerning.  A short ways from the boat they see what appears to be a ghost or spirit walking on the water.  They did not think it was a person because “people do not normally walk on water”.

Turns out however that it was a person.  The Person of our Lord and Saviour Jesus!!!  Let’s see what Jesus says to his disciples(and YOU) regarding this apparently pressing situation.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.  Matthew 14:26-27 KJV

So lets examine what is going on piece by piece.

  1. The 4th watch of the night is the darkest time of night, right before dawn. Jesus was there in what seemed to be their darkest time  even though they did not recognize Him.
  2. What seemed to be giving the disciples trouble, Jesus was waking ON.

The word on in our opening text is the Greek word epi  and  it means the superimposition of time, place, matter and order as a relation to distribution.  When something is superimposed it means to place or lay something over another although both are still evident however one is on top and the other is under the other.  Jesus is always on top of any and every situation you face.  Ask yourself when a situation arises are you looking for Jesus Who is on the top of every situation or at the trouble on the bottom?

Know this: Because of Jesus’s FINISHED WORK, Jesus HAS WALKED ON every problem that will ever try to arise  in your life.  Your job is to keep your eyes on Him, not the issue so you can walk on the problem (water) with Jesus to dry land. We will pick this up again tomorrow Stay tuned it’s going to be good.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!! Shalom!!!

But now, having been set free from the sinful nature and having been made bondslaves of God, you are having your fruit resulting in holiness, and the consummation, life eternal.  Romans 6:22 Kenneth Wuest Translation

Yesterday we talked about things that were “NEVER YOURS” as a believer because of you being chosen before the beginning of time by God to be in Him through Christ Jesus.   Sickness, disease, fear, lack and even death are a part of the sinful nature.  The scripture above declares you have been set free from the sinful nature.  What does set free mean?  You are no longer in any bondage to it or obligated to fulfill any responsibility to the sinful nature because you are free.  Free to live a life committed and dedicated to God, this is holiness.   Then in addition to that the consummation of that holiness is eternal life.  Eternal life is the greek word aionios  and it means to have the same quality of life as God the Father and Jesus. To live the same way they live in Heaven’s sinless abode.  But this does not mean you live that way only when you get to Heaven.  No this life exist outside of time, in time and beyond time and is your now as a present possession.  But it is received and manifested by Grace Who is Jesus, through faith (our believing what He said He has DONE).

But where the sin was augmented, the grace superabounded with more added to that, in order that just as the aforementioned sin reigned as king in the sphere of death, thus also the aforementioned grace might reign as king through righteousness, resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord  Romans 5:20-21 Kenneth Wuest Translation

So believe that you are righteous.  This is the first step in walking in this freedom from all the effects and devastation of the sinful nature.  Notice the scripture says that GRACE reigns THRU righteousness unto or resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Take sometime to meditate that.  You will begin to notice changes in your body and situations and circumstances because sin no longer has any dominion over you. You are free and The Blood of Jesus cleanses you from ALL sin past, present and future.

All the ‘blessed’ to you!!! Shalom!
